Analysis of the Flight Trajectory Characteristics of Ballistic Missiles (탄도미사일의 비행궤적 특성 해석)

  • It is difficult to estimate missile flight trajectory since a ballistic missile velocity is highly fast and has inherent behavior such as corkscrew due to unstable descending. This paper describes a comprehensive analysis of the flight trajectory characteristics of ballistic missiles. Various missile flight ranges based the comprehensive flight trajectory characteristics are derived by an analytical approach. It is shown analytically that threat due to the flight characteristics is significantly increased with reducing maximum missile ranges. This work is basic research of the establishment of operational concept for the lower tier missile defense system implementation.

  • 선박의 파랑 중 조종성능 변화를 추정하기 위하여 선박해양플랜트연구소 공학수조에서 KCS 선형의 모형선으로 파랑 중 자유항주모형시험을 수행하였다. 파향, 파고, 파장 등이 변화는 규칙파 상태에서 KCS 선형의 35도 선회시험을 수행하여 파 중 선회궤적변화를 관찰하였고, 정상선회 상태에서 속도기반 궤적밀림 지수를 계산하였다. 계산된 속도기반 궤적지수를 정수 중 초기선회 상태에 외력으로 작용하여 그 시뮬레이션 결과를 보정하고 이를 파랑 중 초기선회 성능과 비교분석하였다. 그 결과 초기 선회 중 도출되는 선회성능인 전진거리, 전술선회직경은 선수파일 경우, 모형선의 전진방향 속도 변화를 추가적으로 고려해야함을 확인하였다.

  • This research focuses on convenient radar received power prediction method for detection predictions of North Korea SLBM(Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile). Recently, North Korea tested launching of SLBM which is threatening international security. Therefore, for active respondence to these threat, it is essential to analyze the radar detection prediction of SLBM. In this point of view, this work suggests a method for detection predictions for SLBM by simulating of RCS(Radar Cross Section) and wave propagation.

  • With the recent development of wireless network technologies, there have been increasing usage of variouse position base servies. Position based services basically collect position information of moving object for the utilization of them in real life. Accordingly, new index structures are required to efficiently retrieve the consecutive positions of moving objects. In the paper, we consider volume of Extended Minimum Bounding Rectangles(EMBR) to be determined by average size of range queries. We proposed the methode that split efficiently moving object with long distance between location, and split moving object for decrease searching space an Estimated-Split algorithm that minimizes the volume of MBRs is designed and simulated. Our experimental evaluation confirms the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed splitting policy.

A Study on Underwater Source Localization Using the Wideband Interference Pattern Matching (수중에서 광대역 간섭 패턴 정합을 이용한 음원의 위치 추정 연구)

  • This paper proposes a method of underwater source localization using the wideband interference patterns matching. By matching two interference patterns in the spectrogram, it is estimated a ratio of the range from source to sensor5, and then this ratio is applied to the Apollonius circle. The Apollonius circle is defined as the locus of all points whose distances from two fixed points are in a constant value so that it is possible to represent the locus of potential source location. The Apollonius circle alone, however still keeps the ambiguity against the correct source location. Therefore another equation is necessary to estimate the unique locus of the source location. By estimating time differences of signal arrivals between source and sensors, the hyperbola equation is used to get the cross point of the two equations, where the point being assumed to be the source position. Simulations are performed to get performances of the proposed algorithm. Also, comparisons with real sea experiment data are made to prove applicability of the algorithm in real environment. The results show that the proposed algorithm successfully estimates the source position within an error bound of 10%.

Model Estimation and Precise Position Control of an Antagonistic Actuation with Pneumatic Artificial Muscles (공압형 인공근육을 이용한 상극 구동의 모델 추정 및 정밀 위치제어)

  • This paper presents a frequency-response test performed on an antagonistic actuation system consisting of two Mckibben pneumatic artificial muscles and a pneumatic circuit with pressure valves. Varying switching frequency to pressure valves from 0.1 Hz to 5 Hz, parameters of a linear model were estimated optimally to predict dynamic characteristics of the antagonistic actuation. A model-base control scheme with estimated parameters was built for the precise trajectory tracking of the antagonistic structure and realized on a reconfigurable embedded control system, CompactRIO. Experimental results showed that the proposed model-based control scheme gave good performance in trajectory tracking comparing with a PD control scheme when square wave and sinusoidal wave were given as references to follow.

A Study on Horizontal Moment Flight Coefficient Estimation of a Flying Disc Using Miniaturized Inertial Measurement Module (초소형 관성측정모듈을 이용한 플라잉디스크의 수평축 모멘트 미계수 추정 연구)

  • This paper suggests a new method to estimate the roll and pitch damping moment coefficients of a flying disc through sensor data from the onboard IMU module. This method can be easily performed than wind tunnel or computational fluid dynamics methods because it estimates aerodynamic coefficients simply after accumulating the inertial data through several repeated flight experiments. Estimated coefficients are applied to a simulator which is based on the flight dynamics of a flying disc. Finally, the predicted flight trajectory is compared with the true position provided by GPS, which demonstrated the validity of the proposed estimation method.

  • 차량추종모형은 차선변경모형과 함께 미시적 시뮬레이션 모형의 핵심 모형으로서 정확한 차량추종모형의 적용은 시뮬레이션 모형 분석결과의 신뢰성에 영향을 미친다. 기존의 차량추종모형은 대부분 가속상황과 감속상황에 동일한 모형을 적용하거나 자극부문과 민감도 부분은 거의 동일한 형태를 취하고 있으며, 가상자료를 토대로 모형이 개발되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 모형을 추정하기 위한 연구체계를 구성하고, 둘째, 이러한 연구체계를 이용하여 신호교차로 미시적 시뮬레이션에 직접 적용이 가능한 차량추종모형을 정립하는 데 있다. 본연구에서는 이를 위해서 신호교차로에서 미시적 실측자료를 수집하였으며, 수집된 자료에서 통계적 기법을 통해서 모형 추정에 적합한 자료를 구축하였다. 현장에서 실측된 이산적인 원시자료는 차량추종모형 추정에 직접 이용할 수 없다. 따라서, 이산적 원시자료를 모형추정에 적합한 자료로 구성하기 위하여 비선형 곡선적합 알고리즘을 이용하여 연속적인 궤적함수를 구성하였고, 이를 통해서 모형추정에 필요한 선두차량과 후행차량의 현재시점과 반응시간 이후 시점에서의 위치, 순간 가속도와 순간속도 등을 도출하였다. 본 연구에서는 차량추종상황을 가속상황, 감속상황, 출발상황, 그리고 정지상황으로 구분하여 차량추종모형을 구축하였다. 가속상황과 감속상황에 대해서는 실측자료를 이용하여 모형을 추정하였으며, 출발상황과 정지상황에 대해서는 추정된 가/감속상황의 모형을 바탕으로 출발상황과 정지상황에서의 차량행태를 설명할 수 있는 모형을 구축하였다 또한, 민감도와 자극부분을 새롭게 정의하여 각 상황별로 미시적 실측자료를 이용하여 모형을 추정하였다. 이렇게 추정된 모형들 중에서 통계적 기법과 실측치와의 비교를 통해서 가장 적합한 모형을 선택하였다. 선택된 모형은 통계적 검정, 가상자료 그리고 실측치와의 비교를 통해서 분석하였으며, 분석결과 구축모형의 적용성은 우수한 것으로 분석되었다.

Spatiotemporal Traffic Density Estimation Based on Low Frequency ADAS Probe Data on Freeway (표본 ADAS 차두거리 기반 연속류 시공간적 교통밀도 추정)

  • The objective of this study is to estimate and analyze the traffic density of continuous flow using the trajectory of individual vehicles and the headway of sample probe vehicles-front vehicles obtained from ADAS (Advanced Driver Assitance System) installed in sample probe vehicles. In the past, traffic density of continuous traffic flow was mainly estimated by processing data such as traffic volume, speed, and share collected from Vehicle Detection System, or by counting the number of vehicles directly using video information such as CCTV. This method showed the limitation of spatial limitations in estimating traffic density, and low reliability of estimation in the event of traffic congestion. To overcome the limitations of prior research, In this study, individual vehicle trajectory data and vehicle headway information collected from ADAS are used to detect the space on the road and to estimate the spatiotemporal traffic density using the Generalized Density formula. As a result, an analysis of the accuracy of the traffic density estimates according to the sampling rate of ADAS vehicles showed that the expected sampling rate of 30% was approximately 90% consistent with the actual traffic density. This study contribute to efficient traffic operation management by estimating reliable traffic density in road situations where ADAS and autonomous vehicles are mixed.
