A Study on Vector Control of Induction Motor Based on Speed Estimation (유도전동기의 속도 추정 벡터제어에 관한 연구)

  • In the vector controlled induction machine drives, mechanical speed sensors such as shaft encoder and resolver have been used. However, the mechanical speed sensors present some problems and restrict the wide applications of high performance AC drives. This paper describes the vector strategy with the speed estimation algorithm in which motor slip frequency is calculated. Also, the angle deviation of the rotor flux vector is calculated and instantaneously compensated to keep the q axis flux zero in the rotational reference frame.

  • 유도전동기의 속도 제어 장치로 인버터의 사용이 두드러지고 있으며, 소용량 가변속 드라이브에 있어서 그 제어성의 양호한 범용 인버터 구동이 현 인버터 시장의 주류를 이루고 있다. 그러나 범용 인버터는 종래의 TR구동 인버터에 비해 스윗칭 횟수가 많고 데드타임의 영향이 크게 나타난다. 본 논문에서는 유도전동기를 운전하는 범용인버터에 대하여 데드타임으로 인한 문제 해결 및 전류 왜곡 개선 방법을 제안하였고, 이를 실험적인 결과로 입증하였다.

  • This paper proposes a control method of induction machine at a low speed range. When an encoder is used for speed detection, we usually obtain speed information from the increased pulse number. At low speed range, however, we can get only average speed between encoder pulses and it makes speed controller unstable. By using a disturbance observer and torque current, it is possible to estimate accurate speed information. The simulation and experiment show that the stable speed control is performed at a low speed with proposed algorithm.

  • An identification method of induction motor parameters such as rotor time constant and mutual inductance at standstill condition is discussed assuming that stator resistance and leakage has already been obtained applying two different DC voltage and single phase voltage to the induction motor, respectively. This proposed scheme is implemented by means of Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) technique, which uses a rotor flux equation in voltage model as a reference model and one in current model and is demonstrated through experiment.

  • This paper presents the design and development of web control algorithm of continuous process control system using vector inverter. The Diameter of web is calculated, tension is controlled by PID control and the speed reference of motor is calculated at current diameter. The performance of web control in this paper is verified by experiment.
