Correlation between Upper Extremity Muscle Strength and Bat Swing Speed in Elementary School Baseball Players (초등학교 야구선수에 상지 근력과 배트 스윙 속도 간의 상관관계 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between upper limb muscle power and bat swing speed in elementary school baseball players. This study subjects were 32 subjects. Upper extremity muscle strength was measured in the Both Shoulder joints extensor flexor abductor adductor, Both elbow joints extensor flexor and bat swing speed. The correlation between upper extremity muscle strength and bat swing speed was analyzed using pearson's correlation analysis. There was a significant correlation between dominant upper extremity muscle strength and bat swing speed in the order of shoulder adductor, shoulder abductor, elbow flexor, and shoulder flexor and in correlation between non-dominant upper extremity muscle strength and bat swing speed in the order of shoulder adductor, elbow flexor, shoulder abductor, shoulder extensor, elbow extensor, and shoulder flexor. From these results, it can be seen that the stronger the upper extremity muscle strength, the bat swing speed is the more positive correlation.

  • 유리섬유 강화 열가소성 복합재료는 고상성형법에 의해 저렴한 가격으로 큰 부피의 제품의 제조에 널리 사용될 수 있어 아주 좋은 전망을 가지고 있다. 그러나 이러한 재료의 성형성이나 재료거동의 특성은 아직 잘 파악되지 않았다. 본 연구의 주안점은 이러한 재료의 단순 굽힘에서의 굽힘성형성을 연구하는데 두었다. 실험에 사용된 재료는 임의의 방향으로 위치한 유리섬유를 중량비로 20 %, 35 %, 40 % 함유한 폴리프로필렌이다 굽힘시험은 75 $^{\circ}C$에서 150 $^{\circ}C$ 사이의 온도에서 25 $^{\circ}C$ 씩 증가하면서 행했고, 편치속도는 2.54 mm/sec와 0.0254 mm/sec에서 행했다. 단순 굽힘시험에서 측정된 굽힘성형성은 해석적 모델로 예측한 결과와 비교하였다. 실험결과와 예측결과가 비교적 잘 일치함을 보였으며, 굽힘성 map으로써 성형 온도와 펀치반경의 좌굴에 대한 효과를 가시화 함은 물론 좋은 성형조건을 선정할 수 있는 좋은 도구로써 나타내었다.

A Discussion on Measurement of Springback Ratio Using Winding Bend Rig (감아굽힘 장치를 이용한 스프링백 비의 측정에 대한 역학적 검토)

  • To measure springback ratio of thin sheet or plate, winding bend rig is made. It bends a specimen with keeping its curva-ture constant and measure the bending angles before and after release of bending load. To check the performance of the bend rig, we calculated the bending moment by two ways which are based on simple beam theory. One is that the bending moment is calculated by using the results of bending test, and the other is that the moment is calculated by using the results of tensile tests. The former may entails the effect of the other is that the moment is calculated by using the results of tensile tests. The former may entails the effect of the friction between bending pin of the rig and surface of specimen, but the latter does not contain any effects of the friction since the bending moment is obtained by using tensile tests. Never-theless, the values of the two bending moments shows the same level of bending moment, which implies that the friction does not influence on the presence of friction within the scope of the test performed in this experiment. This phenomenon is explained theoretically by using moment equilibrium.

  • 충격하중을 받는 시험편 높이의 1/4 길이의 notch를 가진 3점 굽힘시험편들의 기계적 거동에 관한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 하고 이 시뮬레이션에 대한 실험적 검증도 하여 그 타당성을 입증하였다. 시험편들의 양쪽 가장자리(지지점)에서 작용되어지는 여러 가지의 하중속도에 대한 경우들과 탄소성 von Mises 재질인 모델들을 시뮬레이션에 포함시켰으며 이들에 대한 결과들을 간극 개구 변위, 반력, 크랙선단 개구 변위 및 변형률등이 속도에 의존되는 재질(점소성 재질)에 대한 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하였다. 또한 여러가지의 동적 하중을 받는 상황하에서의 안정성이 본 연구의 시뮬레이션을 통하여 비교되었으며 그 차이점들이 규명되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 외력에 의해 헤어가 움직일 때, 전체가 아닌 변형률이 큰 부분에 입자 제어점을 추가하여 베지에 곡선을 그리는 적응형 헤어 시뮬레이션 기법을 제안한다. 일반적인 정규화 샘플링을 통한 물리 시뮬레이션은 헤어의 움직임에 대한 정확도가 높은 반면, 계산량이 증가하고 메모리를 많이 차지하기 때문에 비효율적이다. 이 문제는 굽힘이 일어나는 특정 부분만 활용한 적응형 샘플링을 통해 해결할 수 있으며, 메모리뿐만 아니라 속도 측면에서도 모두 우수한 성능을 보인다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법을 이용한 굽힘 샘플링 기법은 헤어의 굽힘 패턴에 따라 실시간으로 표현되며 자연스럽고 부드러운 실제 헤어와 유사한 결과를 보여준다.

  • In this paper, we have measured the fundamental properties of chime stone for Pyeongyeong. The properties are measured by wave propagation in the stone without destroying the stones, the measured properties are the chime stone density, natural frequencies of extensional wave and bending wave, and Young's modulus which is calculated by the measured properties. To find a value for Young's modulus, the fundamental frequencies which are obtained through spectrum analysis of extensional wave and bending wave are used. We calculated Young's modulus of chime stone by theoretical study and measurement on extensional wave and bending wave of the beam. As a result, we obtained Young's modulus by the fundamental frequencies of extensional wave and bending wave which deviation is within 2%.

Effects of Film Stack Structure and Peeling Rate on the Peel Strength of Screen-printed Ag/Polyimide (박막 적층 구조 및 필링 속도가 스크린 프린팅 Ag/Polyimide 사이의 필 강도에 미치는 영향)

  • Effects of film stack structure and peeling rate on the peel strength of screen-printed (SP) Ag/polyimide (PI) systems were investigated by a 90° peel test. When PI film was peeled at PI/SP-Ag and PI/SP-Ag/electroplated (EP) Cu structures, the peel strength was nearly constant regardless of the peeling rate. When EP Cu was peeled at EP Cu/SP-Ag/PI structure, the peel strength continuously increased as peeling rate increased. Considering uniaxial tensile test results of EP Cu/SP-Ag film with respect to loading rate, the increase of 90° plastic bending energy and peel strength was attributed to increased flow stress and toughness. On the other hand, viscoelastic PI film showed little variation of flow stress and toughness with respect to loading rate, which was assumed to result in nearly constant 90° plastic bending energy and peel strength.

  • The basal slip (0001)1/3<1120 > dislocation velocity in sapphire ($\alpha$-$Al_2$$O_3$) single crystals was measured by four-point bending test. The bending experiment was carried out in the temperature range from 120$0^{\circ}C$ to $1400^{\circ}C$ at various engineering stresses 90MPa, 120MPa, and 150MPa. The velocity of such dislocations was estimated from the bending displacement rate of the four-point bend sample. The dependence of temperature and stress in dislocation velocity was investigated. The activation energy for dislocation velocity was determined to be about 2.2$\pm$0.4eV. In addition, the stress exponent (m) describing the stress dependence of dislocation velocities was in the range of 2.0$\pm$0.2.

  • 최근 개발되고 있는 고속회전기계들은 무게 절감과 성능을 높이기 위해 그 크기가 소형화되고, 높은 회전수를 갖는 경향이 있으며, 이로 인하여 기계의 운전속도가 회전체의 1차 굽힘 위험속도(Critical Speed) 이상에서 운전하는 경우가 빈번히 발생되고 있다. 위험속도를 통과하는 고속회전기계 개발에 있어 가장 중요하게 고려되고 있는 회전체진동 문제는 정밀 제작 및 조립, 좋은 성능의 댐퍼 설계, 그리고 고속회전체 밸런싱 (High Speed Balancing) 작업등을 통하여 더 이상 회전기계 개발의 장애요인이 아닌 것으로 점차 인식되어 가고 있다.(중략)

  • The induction heating bending process, which has been recently applied to nuclear piping, can generate residual stresses due to thermomechanical mechanism during the process. This residual stress is one of the crack driving forces that have important effects on crack initiation and propagation. However, previous studies have focused only on geometric shape variations such as the change in thickness and ovality. Moreover, very few studies are available on the effects of process variables on residual stresses. This study investigated the effects of process variables on the residual stress distributions of induction heating bended austenitic stainless steel (316 series) piping using parametric finite element analysis. The results indicated that the heat generation rate and feed velocity have significant effects on the residual stresses whereas the moment and bending angle have insignificant effects.
