The Study on the Antireflection(AR) Coating Design Scheme According to the Index Profile in the Thin-Film Silicon Solar Cell (굴절률 분포에 따른 박막 실리콘 태양전지 반사방지막 설계기술 연구)

  • This paper shows an antireflection coating design skill for utilization the thin-film silicon solar cell in the future. The reflectivity of each index profile previously suggested as linear, cubic and quintic function has been calculated and compared. Each index profile is applied to the antireflection coating consisting of 6 layers with 180nm thickness. Also we suggest the graded index profile and compare it's reflectivity to the linear, cubic and quintic's ones. As a results we find the reflectivity generally decreases as the order goes to higher. However the reflectivity in the graded index profile shows the higher(lower) value than ones in the linear, cubic and quintic especially in the shorter(longer) wavelength range from 500 nm to below 700 nm(above 700 nm to 800 nm). Therefore we find that the graded index profile structure could be applied for the better antireflection coating design scheme especially for optical device and optical filter in the range of from deep red to infrared.

Phenomenological Model for Vibration Control of Booms on Articulated Bridge Inspection Robots (교량검사 굴절로봇 붐의 진동제어를 위한 수치모델에 관한 연구)

  • BIRDI(Bridge Inspection Robot Development Interface)에서 현재 개발된 첨단굴절로봇차는 비전 시스템과 로봇 플랫폼을 붐에 장착하여 교량 하부를 점검하는 점검용차량이다. 본 연구에서는 첨단굴절로봇차의 포스트 붐에 엑츄에이터를 장착하여 강풍 등으로 발생이 예상되는 유해 진동을 제어할 수 있는 시스템을 제안하였으며, 성능 평가를 위해 수치적 연구를 수행하였다. 제안된 제어시스템의 수치적 연구를 위해 현재 제작된 포스트 붐과 작업 붐의 제원을 이용하여 모델링 하였으며, 적절한 주파수 특성을 가진 하중을 가정하였으며, 최적 제어이론인 PD제어기법인 피드백 제어기법을 적용하여 수치해석을 수행 하였다. 수치해석 결과, 제안된 제어시스템은 L형 붐에 발생되는 유해 진동을 저감시킴을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 제안된 시스템의 진동제어 성능을 입증하였으며, 실제 첨단굴절로봇차에 적용될 경우 점검 시스템의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Research of Difference between the Refractive Powers by Autorefractometer and the Prescription using Phoropter (자동 굴절력계의 굴절력값과 포롭터를 이용한 처방값의 차이에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: This study is research of the conditions which causes difference between the refractive power of the measurement of autorefractometer and the prescription using phoropter. Methods: Autorefractometer (SR-7000) and phoroptor (AV-9000) were used to measure 60 eyes of 30 participants who had no eye diseases and wore the corrective lens due to Ametropia. To prevent the dependence of the prescription value of the refractive power on the testers, two testers measured the refractive power of the eyes of the participants at the same measuring conditions. Results: Statistically, the prescribed values of the refractive power by two testers were not significantly different. Most of the prescribed values of the refractive power were smaller than the refractive power by autorefractometer In case of myopic eyes, the difference between refractive powers by the measurement of autorefractometer and the prescription using phoropter showed the trend of increase as the spherical refractive power became larger. The result was analyzed by the range of the different cylindrical refractive power for the myopic astigmatic eyes. In this case, the difference between refractive powers showed the trend of decrease as the cylindrical refractive power became larger. Conclusions: No difference between the prescribed value by two testers was observed. In case of myopic or myopic astigmatic eyes, the difference between refractive powers by autorefractometer and the prescription were measured to be approximately proportional to the refractive powers of ametropic eyes. As the this difference become larger for the participant who needs the lens of larger refractive power, additional caution is needed in the prescription of the refractive power of the corrective lens.

Vibration Control of Working Booms on Articulated Bridge Inspection Robots (교량검사 굴절로봇 작업붐의 진동제어)

  • A robot crane truck is developed by the Bridge Inspection Robot Development Interface(BRIDI) for an automated and/or teleoperated bridge inspection. This crane truck looks similar to the conventional bucket crane, but is much smaller in size and light-weight. At the end of the telescoping boom which is 12m long, a robot platform is mounted which allows the operator to scan the bridge structure under the deck trough the camera. Boom vibration induced by wind and deck movement can cause serious problems in this scanning system. This paper presents a control system to mitigate such vibration of the robot boom. In the proposed control system, an actuator is installed at the end of the working boom. This control system is studied using a mathematical model analysis with LQ control algorithm and a scaled model test in the laboratory. The study indicates that the proposed system is efficient for the vibration control of the robot booms, thereby demonstrating its immediate applicability in the field.

Structural Analysis of the Lower Frame in the Multi-aerial Platform (복합굴절차의 하부 프레임에 대한 구조해석)

  • This research focuses on structural stability of the multi-aerial platform. In this study, we conduct structural analysis for the lower structures such as sub frame, out-trigger and chassis frame, by using a universal structural analysis program NASTRAN based on 3D CAD data, material properties, load conditions and boundary conditions. We confirm the position of local stress exceeding the yield strength, through structural analysis of 4 cases for load conditions. As the results, it is possible to relax stress concentration in a way such as changing the thickness, reinforcing the material of the lower frames.

On the Occurrence of Defects by Vehicle Type According to the Fire-fighting Vehicle Detailed Inspection (소방차량 정밀점검 분석에 따른 차종별 결함 발생에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: This study is based on the detailed inspection data for the last 6 years of fire-fighting high ladder vehicles, fire-fighting inflected ladder vehicles, fire-fighting chemical vehicles and fire-fighting pump vehicles used in front-line fire departments. The purpose is to contribute to the technological development of fire-fighting vehicles by grasping the implementation status of each city and province, the rate of defects, and the occurrence of defects by year. Method: The implementation status by city and province, defect incidence rate, and defect occurrences by year were analyzed. Result: From 2012 to 2017, when the average of 230 or more overhaul vehicles was requested, the results of each city/province show slight fluctuations, but the number of defects gradually decreased due to the old fire-fighting vehicle replacement project and the response of fire vehicle manufacturers. Conclusion: In the case of fire-fighting ladders, the incidence rate of defects was found to be in the order of elevator device, electric device, ladder device, and pneumatic supply device. And in the case of the fire fighting ladder, it was confirmed that the incidence of defects appeared in the order of the refractive ladder, hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic oil, and pneumatic supply device. In the case of fire-fighting chemical vehicles, it was confirmed that defects occurred in the powder fire extinguishing device, fire pump, vacuum pump, and pneumatic supply device.

The Study on the Improvement of Antireflection Coating Efficiency According to the Angle of Incidence (입사각에 따른 반사방지막 성능 개선에 관한 연구)

  • This paper compares and calculates more precisely the averaged reflectance of antireflection coating with different structure of single and 6 layer assuming the incident angle of light changing from $8^{\circ}$ to $60^{\circ}$ not like normal incidence as usual case. The reflectivity of AR coating of 6 layers with 180 nm thickness having index profile suggested as linear and quintic function and single layer with same thickness having even index are calculated and compared, when the wavelength of incident light ranges from 400 nm to 1200 nm. As the results the AR coating with 6 layers having quintic(linear) function index profile shows the lower reflectance about 11.6 %(14.6 %) than other index profiles, which is approximately 8 % lower reflectance compared with single layer case(about 19.6 %). This results could be applied for the better antireflection coating design applying to optical devices and filters.

  • An analytical method for determining the degree of wave refraction is investigated. The ray tracing method previously used to calculate wave propagating cannot explain the degree of refraction caused by different kinds of conditions. In this study, we suggest the index of refraction degree using the principle that refraction is caused by the difference of phase velocities along the crest line.

The Measurement of Refractive Index by using Michelson Interferometer with Rotating Sample (Michelson 간섭계를 이용한 굴절률 측정)

  • The main purpose of this paper is to construct and analyze the Michelson interferometer with rotating sample in order to measure refractive index of solid plate. The theoretical equation and experimental method was proposed in this work. The measured refractive indexes by this system are $n_{6328}$=1.5159 in BK7 and $n_{6328}$=1.4528 in fused silica. These values make a differences by 0.001 in BK7 and 0.003 in fused silica from those of reference. As a result, Michelson interferometer with rotating sample is very advantageous method to find refractive index of plate sample.

  • In this study, some structural analysis using 3D CAD data, material properties, load conditions and boundary conditions are carried out to evaluate structural stability of the multi-aerial platform for high-rise fire fighting and rescue. We conduct structural analysis for the upper structures such as turn table, booms and basket, by using a universal structural analysis program NASTRAN. As the results, there is local stress exceeding the yield strength, but it is able to relax stress concentration in a way such as changing thickness of the structure or making larger inertia moment in cross section of booms.
