유사물체 치환증강을 통한 기동장비 물체 인식 성능 향상 (Object Detection Accuracy Improvements of Mobility Equipments through Substitution Augmentation of Similar Objects)

  • A vast amount of labeled data is required for deep neural network training. A typical strategy to improve the performance of a neural network given a training data set is to use data augmentation technique. The goal of this work is to offer a novel image augmentation method for improving object detection accuracy. An object in an image is removed, and a similar object from the training data set is placed in its area. An in-painting algorithm fills the space that is eliminated but not filled by a similar object. Our technique shows at most 2.32 percent improvements on mAP in our testing on a military vehicle dataset using the YOLOv4 object detector.

  • The endurance test is important to evaluate and predict defects of the vehicles. In particular, in order to improve the reliability of the endurance test for the powertrain system of military vehicles, the driving load is measured and analyzed at test courses and maneuvering roads. As a result, new test courses for powertrain system is additionally needed to improve test reliability. In this paper, it shows that new test courses for powertrain system is designed and constructed using the measuring and anlayzing result between CPG test courses and army maneuvering roads.

  • This paper propose a method determining life cycle for military vehicle using availability analysis. Many studies determining life cycle for military equipments have been done recently However, those studies focused on economic life such as average system cost method, equivalent annual cost method and cumulative operations cost method. In many case, those results are not appropriate in deciding replacement in the field situation, we consider an effective life cycle method using availability concept. In order to determine an equipment life cycle. Two kinds of availability is considered. One is equipment yearly availability, the other is operational availability with operating distance per year. The life cycle is determined by achieving unit target availability level. The result using this concept for K­511 military vehicle life cycle is about 19 years, which is longer than previous studies.

  • The economic life for three types of military wheeled vehicles with load capacities of 1/4, $1{\cdot}1/4$, and $2{\cdot}1/2$ tones has been evaluated on the basis of the equivalent acquisition and operating costs. The economic life of wheeled vehicles were calculated from 12 to 18 years by using the annual equivalent cost method. The equivalent cost was decided at the lowest point of the total amount of equivalent acquisition cost and operating cost. The operating cost were collected from the field data. The evaluated economic life can be very useful for deciding the total life cycle of these three types of military vehicles. The annual equivalent cost method may be also applied to other military equipments such as communication electronics, weapon systems, and other type of vehicles.

자주포용 발사지지대의 멈춤현상 방지를 위한 설계개선 연구 (A Study on the Design Improvement to prevent the stoppage phenomenon of Launch Support Device for Self-Propelled Artillery)

  • 본 논문은 K105A1자주포에 적용중인 발사지지대 장치에서 발생한 하강운용간 멈춤현상을 해소하기 위한 설계 개선에 관한 연구이다. K105A1자주포는 기존의 105mm 견인곡사포를 차량에 탑재하여 기존의 궤도장비보다 신속한 기동성을 확보한 무기체계로써 사격충격력 및 부하를 지지하기 위해 발사지지대가 적용되어 있다. 이러한 발사지지대는 사격 전 지면에 단단히 고정되고 사격제원 유지, 차체 자세제어 등 사격임무 수행에 중추적인 역할을 하여 성능발휘에 대한 높은 신뢰성이 요구된다. 그러나, 야전운용시험 간 발사지지대를 설치하는 중 간헐적인 멈춤현상이 발생하여 지면에 고정되지 못하는 문제가 발생하였다. 이러한 문제를 해소하기 위하여 야전에서의 재연시험 및 부품단위 분해검사를 통해 고장원인을 분석 및 검토하였다. 더불어 발사지지대의 운용개념, 작동 메커니즘 및 구성품 단위의 설계분석을 통해 근본적인 원인을 도출하고 이를 해소하고자 관련된 부품의 설계를 변경하여 발사지지대의 멈춤현상을 해소하였다. 마지막으로 설계변경사항의 효과성을 확인하고자 완성체계 상태에 적용하여 발사지지대 성능 및 사격임무 수행이 정상적으로 이루어짐을 확인 및 입증하였다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서는 K105A1자주포 발사지지대의 성능에 대한 안정성 및 신뢰성을 확보하였으며, 본 연구가 향후 군용장비 및 유사품목 개발시 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
