This study aims to analyze the changes in school/corporate authorities participation after overseas training in Germany and Switzerland. According to this study, the satisfaction with program contents and help for the operation of apprenticeship education was very high. Even though the satisfaction with each type of apprenticeship education institutes did not show differences in accordance with participants' age, there were statistically significant differences in the satisfaction in accordance with work area and position, so that it would be necessary to reflect the results of analysis on the selection of institutes to visit in the future. Regarding the changes in the perception of operation of apprenticeship school in accordance with school/corporate authorities' participation in overseas training, school authorities' perception of the whole areas was improved after training than before training like understanding, planning, practice, and evaluation of apprenticeship education while corporate authorities' perception was not. As corporate authorities also understood the necessity of overseas training for the operation of apprenticeship education, however, in order to increase the effects of overseas training in the future, it would be necessary to provide lots of information to help the understanding of apprenticeship education through preliminary training or regular council and council of each project group. Because of the huge differences in socio-cultural conditions in the practice of apprenticeship education between Korea and two countries such as Germany and Switzerland, it would be needed to operate overseas training that could draw the improvement measures within the system of Korea instead of simple comparative analysis.

필자는 지난 8월 21일부터 25일까지 2017년 농업인 국외훈련과정으로 6차 산업 정책과정 연수차 일본을 다녀오면서 큐슈지역의 후쿠오카 현, 오이타 현, 구마모토 현을 방문한 내용을 본지를 통해 소개한다.

The purpose of this study was to find ways to improve teacher training programs for mathematics teachers' professional development in Korea. To do so, we first investigated current programs for in-service mathematics teachers in Korea. Then five professional development programs for mathematics teachers in foreign countries were searched and described, which have clear concepts of professionalism and distinct strategies in terms of their aims, processes, focal points, financial supports, etc. We then analyzed the advantages and disadvantages and the types of each program. Based on the analyses, we finally discussed what we learned to make mathematics teacher training programs better for their professional development in Korea.

The purpose of this research was to investigate the degree of perceptional change of career education through overseas training of specialized high school teachers who take the leading role in applying Korean vocational education to reality. To accomplish this purpose, the following method were employed: 25 specialized department teachers of Keyngido educational institute who visited career education institute in USA and Canada were selected, and pretest and posttest were taken. Collected data were analyzed by Windows Korean version SPSS 14.0. M, SD, t-test and significant level p<.05 were employed for statistical analysis. The result of this research was as follows: There was significant difference in the degree of perceptional change of vocational education by overseas training of specialized high school teachers. But There was no significant differences in the management of vocational education curriculum(${\alpha}=.327$), reinforcement of preparatory training for technique contest(${\alpha}=.327$) in the statistical significant level(p<.05). The perception level of the trainees varied respectively in these domains. And means of posttest were relatively low in the comparison with those of pretest in the domains of visit of educational institute, educational facilities, scholarship and financial support, and reinforcement of preparatory training for technique contest. It is attributed to the Korea's uniqueness of culture, emotion, school system, educational facilities and financial support different from U.S.A. and Canada. The vocational education program of vocational education training institute in U.S.A. and Canada is mainly composed of industrial department, so there was no statistical significant difference(p<.05) in some questions taken by subjects of agricultural and commercial department. In conclusion, The overseas training program is very helpful for the perceptional change of vocational education and it is desirable to be expanded continuously.

In order to analyze the effect of applying the bioreactor landfills on the waste landfill for acceleration of waste biocompression, a settlement experiment was performed. The secondary compression indices (C_α) were analyzed, and compared with the results of experimental studies conducted in other countries. Analyses of C_α from the experiment showed that the recirculation method of mixing leachate and FWL could accelerate the waste settlement as much as 2.9 times and 2 times more than the leachate recirculation and the sanitary landfills due to additional biocompression generated by the organic matter in FWL. The C_α in this study was smaller than the C_α of the other studies due to the low organic content of the waste in accordance with domestic waste policies to reduce food waste. The relation between biodegradable waste content and C_α was analyzed. The C_α of the waste was shown to be sensitive to biodegradable waste content, and become higher as the content of the biodegradable waste increases.

This study aims to make suggestions on how to effectively provide continuing education for librarians in privatized public libraries. For this end, the study examined concepts and importance of continuing education. It then investigated a current status of education/training procedures provided by Librarian Training Division of the National Library of Korea, and continuing education programs for public librarians implemented by primary regional libraries. It also analyzed continuing education programs of library associations in the U.S. and the U.K. Based on these analyses, the study conducted a survey for a sample of librarians in privatized public libraries, identified problems of continuing education for them, and made recommendations for its improvement.
