초고층공동주택 국소배기용 입상덕트의 배기성능평가에 관한 연구 (Study on the Performance Evaluation of the Exhaust Stack used in High Riser Public House)

  • Exhaust system used in toilet and cooking place of high riser public house is roof fan of two basic types : natural roof ventilator and natural/forced roof ventilator. Natural/forced roof ventilator has a motor in the rotary shaft. There are many high riser public house in Korea. These buildings were not viewed as being major contributors to exhaust pollutants producted in indoor. It was because many engineers thought that exhaust in high riser building depend on stack effect. This study investigates on stack pressure determined by exterior pressure and the difference pressure control in exhaust stack used in high riser public house. This paper focuses mainly on the effect of the time interval for power supply of motor installed in roof fan with function of natural wind velocity and of exhaust air volume of toilet. It is observed there are higher exhaust efficiency than the existing natural roof ventilator.

사업장의 국소배기 설비와 관련된 정보 수집 연결망에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Information Networks of local Exhaust System of Factories)

  • We investigated dissatisfaction of elements of local exhaust system, needs for local exhaust system, and information networks for local exhaust system from June 1998 to September 1999 using the questionnaire structured. It contained questions concerning general characteristics of factory and local exhaust system, troubles and dissatisfaction of elements of local exhaust system, and information networks for local exhaust system. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics analysis. Information networks for local exhaust system were analyzed by multidimensional scaling using path distance of network analysis and by graph analysis using Krackplot. Among complaints of local exhaust system, that of duct has show the highest percentage of complaint. In the information network for local exhaust system, Seoul is positioned in the center of network with mediating role.

실험실습용 국소배기 기초실험장치의 개발 (Development of Basic Local Exhaust Ventilation System for Experimental Education)

  • To enhance educational effect for exhaust ventilation system, more instructive educational engineering such as experimental system should be needed. This study was performed to 1) manufacture the basic experimental system for local exhaust ventilation, 2) experiment with this system and 3) develop methodology of exhaust ventilation education. With this system, three pressures (static pressure(SP), velocity pressure(VP) and total pressure(TP)) were measured and illustrated and the graphic shapes agreed to theoretical ones relatively. Entry loss factor ($F_h$) of each hood was found to be different with hood shape, duct velocity and flow rate. This result implies that precise $F_h$ should be determined case by case and a industrial hygienist should not be dependent on the existing values. Pressure loss using velocity pressure method and characteristics of air movement near hoods using fume were grasped with this system. But larger system should be recommended to produce more precise experimental results.

실내 기류패턴에 따른 급기효율과 배기효율의 분포 (Distributions of Local Supply and Exhaust Effectiveness according to the Room Airflow Patterns)

  • A pulsed tracer gas technique is applied to measure distributions of local mean age and residual life time of air in a half-scale experimental chamber. The room airflow patterns are flow-visualized by a Helium bubble generator for three different exhaust locations. A supply slot is located at the top of a right wall, and an exhaust slot is either at bottom-left(Case 1), bottom-right(Case 2), or top-left(Case 3) location. Results show that the distribution of LMA and LMR are different from each other, but both of them are closely related to the airflow pattern in the space. Results on overall room ventilation effectiveness are provided depending upon ventilation airflow rates for three different supply-exhaust configurations.

  • This study represents numerical analysis on the fluid flow and concentration characteristics by scattering fume at push-pull ventilation system. And the principal point is making optimum on improve an existing ventilation system. This phenomenon simulated about local ventilation system by using commercial CFD tool and base on these fact has find improvements. Advanced model shows most low different pressure and velocity which are suction capability at inlet surface of pull hood has most uniformity. When compared with existing model, Improved model has more good ventilation performance.

클로로프렌의 유해성과 작업환경 관리 (Hazards of Chloroprene and the Workplace Management)

  • 본 연구는 신발, 타이어, 접착제 제조에 많이 사용되는 클로로프렌(chloroprene)에 대해 취급근로자의 건강장해 예방을 위해 유해성을 조사하고, 취급사업장에 대해 작업환경을 측정 노출농도 및 용량반응을 통해 위험성을 평가하였다. 클로로프렌은 국제암연구소(IARC)로부터 발암추정물질(2B), 표적장기 전신독성 및 생식독성물질로 국내 취급 사업장은 27개소, 연간 약 1,300톤이 사용되었으며, 노출 위험성은 노출환경에 따라 Monte-carlo simulation을 이용하여 산출하였다. 그 결과 국소배기장치가 없으며 1일 4시간 초과 작업시 발암을 일으킬 수 있는 위험성의 평균값은 26,404로, 국소배기장치가 있으며 15분 미만의 단시간 작업 경우 2,199에 비교해 매우 높은 위험성을 보였다. 그리고 표적장기 전신독성의 경우도 169.06으로 단시간 작업 경우 4.10에 비교해 표적장기 전신독성 발생 위험이 높은 것으로 평가되어 물질의 노출시간 및 환기방식에 깊은 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 클로로프렌 노출에 의한 근로자의 건강장해 예방하기 위해 국소배기장치의 가동과 방독마스크의 착용 등 노출저감을 위한 작업환경 관리의 필요성이 있었다. 특히 클로로프렌은 발암성, 생식독성 물질로 미국 산업안전보건청(OSHA)에서는 TWA를 5 ppm($18mg/m^3$) 이하로 관리하고 있으며, 본 유해성조사 결과에서도 현행 노출기준 10 ppm이하에서 표적장기독성, 생식기 장해 등 생체에 미치는 영향이 있는 것으로 나타나 있어, 위험성이 강하게 예측되므로 현재 사용하고 있는 우리나라 작업환경 노출기준(TWA 10 ppm)도 5 ppm 수준으로 강화하여 근로자 건강장해 예방에 기여할 필요성이 있는 것으로 판단되었다.

역유동계산법을 이용한 국소배기효율의 수치해석 (Numerical analysis of local exhaust effectiveness using reverse-flow calculation method)

  • This paper investigates local exhaust effectiveness in a room with a supply and an exhaust slots on the ceiling. The mean age of air is an indicator of supply effectiveness, while the mean residual life time can be used as an indicator of exhaust effectiveness. The distribution of local mean residual life time in a space is calculated by four different numerical procedures. The reverse-flow calculation method has been proved to show quite accurate results while it can save considerable amount of computation time and efforts, compared to the method by its original definition. It is concluded that the diffusion term in the equation of mean residual life time can be neglected. The spatial and temporal diffusion characteristics of the contaminant are also discussed.

  • As the preliminary stage for the countermeasure of thermal loading in miller cycle engine, coolant flows in the cylinder head of base engine including exhaust valve bridge were visualized and analyzed by using PIV technique. It was found that low coolant velocity regions were around exhaust valve bridge, around which stagnation of the coolant flow was observed due to the complex geometry configuration of water jacket. And velocity variation between each cylinder was remarkable. For the countermeasure of these, it is necessary to enhance coolant flow around exhaust valve bridge and to improve the deviation of coolant flow between each cylinder.

상업용 주방후드의 배기성능 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement Strategies for Exhaust Performance in Commercial Kitchen Hoods)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the improvement strategies for exhaust performance in composite kitchen hoods. The Exhaust only hood, the 2-way compensating hood and the 3-way compensating hood were selected, and the laboratory experiments were performed to compare the local exhaust efficiency and the indoor temperature distributions according to the variations of the hood type and supply/exhaust air velocity. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. The compensating hood has better performance than exhaust only hood in the aspect of local exhaust efficiency and temperature distribution. The 3-way compensating hood shows the best performance when the supply air velocity is about 2.7 m/s, and the 2-way compensating hood at the supply air velocity of 3.5 w/s. In the same exhaust rate condition, if the exhaust area of the hood is increased and therefore the exhaust velocity is lowered, the supply air velocity is also lowered to get the optimum performance. The optimum exhaust velocity range of the commercial kitchen hood which derived from this study is 0.48 ∼ 0.55 m/s.

음파 가진을 이용한 확산 화염의 연소 배기와 화염 내부의 국소 NO 농도 변화 특성에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental study of the combustion emission of diffusion flame and local NO concentration change characteristics in the flame by acoustic excitation)

  • The effects of acoustic excitation with various frequencies for combustion air as well as fuel on the combustion emission and local NO concentration in diffusion flame were investigated experimentally. It was studied to investigate the effects of combination between four frequencies for the fuel and various frequencies for the combustion air. The better characteristic for NO emission was revealed by acoustic exciting with frequencies for the air and the fuel excited at 0Hz and 120Hz and the generation of CO was decreased at low frequency for fuel and the excited combustion air. The amount of combustion emission could be controlled by acoustic exciting of the combustion air. And when both fuel and air are excited by some frequencies, the diffusion flame was affected by frequency which excited fuel in the middle of the flame and by air-exciting frequency at both sides of the flame. The local NO in the flame was generated much less at the condition that fuel was excited by frequencies than the condition was not.
