  • Arius maculatus (Thunberg) of the family Ariidae collected from Wando, Chollanam-do Province is a new family and genus to the fish fauna in Korea. Luciogobius saikaiensis D tu of the family Gobiidae collected from Haenam, Chollanam-do Province is also a new record. Their diagnostic characters, distribution, remarks and photos of each species are given.

  • A new species of sphaeromatid isopod from the esturary of the Naktong River, Korea is described and figured under the name of Gnorimosphacroma naktongense. A key to the six Korean species of Gnorimosphaeroma is presented.

  • 황해 중부의 2-30m 깊이의 연안 암초지대에서 채집된 Sebastes속 어류는 등지느러미의 극조가 14개이고, 측선공이 30-31개이며, 가슴지느러미 기부와 협부에 흑색 반점이 없어 볼낙속의 다른 유연종과는 잘 구별되었다. 본 조사에서 채집된 10개체의 표본을 기준으로 신종 Sebastes koreanus n. sp.로 기재하고, 국명은 "황해볼낙"으로 명명한다.t;으로 명명한다.

  • 1993년 4월 부산시 부산 공동어시장에서 채집된 전갱이과 어류 1개체가 등지느러미와 뒷지느러미에 1개의 작은 토막지느러미가 있는 점에서 전갱이아과 Caranginae에 속하는 종으로, 가라지속 Decapterus의 한국 미기록종인 홍기가라지(국명신칭) Decapterus tabl로 동정되었기에 이를 기재하였다. 본종은 상대적으로 측선이 완만한 경사를 이루고, 측선의 경사 부위에 모비늘이 없으며, 측선 모비늘수가 34-48개이고, 두정부의 비늘은 안구의 중앙 뒤쪽까지 분포하고 있다. 또한 복추골에 2개의 측돌기공 및 꼬리지느러미가 적색인점 등이 동일 속의 다른 종들과 잘 구분된다.
