Real-time Adjustment of Traffic Volume - Based on the National Highway Route 3 (교통량 데이터의 실시간 보정 로직 - 국도 3호선을 중심으로)

  • In order to provide the drivers with more reliable transportation information in NHTMS(National Highway Transportation Management System), it is important to estimate the expected passage time by using the traffic volume and speed. In this study, we analyze the characteristics of the traffic volume in the national highway and we investigate two real-time adjustment methods: the average adjustment method and the auto-regressive adjustment method. In addition, we compare them using the real data collected at the National Highway Route 3 in 2000.

  • 인구 및 차량 증가에 따라 날로 심각해지는 교통문제를 해결하기 위해서는 도로를 건설하는 방법만으로는 한계가 있음을 인식하여 새로운 도로의 건설보다는 도로의 교통효율을 높이고 안전성을 확보하는 것이 더욱 중요한 문제로 대두됨에 따라 저비용 고효율의 교통관리방안인 지능형교통체계(ITS)를 추진하였다. 이에 국가기간망인 국도의 ITS 구성과 차량검지기(VDS), 차량번호인식장비(AVI), 폐쇄회로텔레비전(CCTV), 도로전광표지(VMS) 등 주요장비의 구성을 통한 국도 ITS를 이해하고, 국도 ITS 구축 현황 및 계획, 그 효과를 살펴보고 비전을 제시함으로서 향후 추진해야할 개선방안을 제안하였다.

Application & evaluation of the data through wireless communication in NHTMS (국도교통관리의 무선통신 시스템 적용 및 평가)

  • This research is about executing the suitability evaluation of the data through wireless communication system in comparison with the data through the wire system used in National Highway Traffic Management System. The communication system for the evaluation was established on Peoyngteak-Anjung section(about 19 Km) at Route 38 in southern National Highway of the National Capital region where image detectors with the communication by wire were set up. In the situation, the comparison of the data transmission rates between the wire system and the proposed system was accomplished. Before we evaluate the possibility of application about the proposed system, the elements of wireless systems performed the spot investigations. Traffic data transmission test among the equipments was accomplished on the section of the Route 38 where wireless communication equipments were set up. And then, the test of traffic data transmission between the field equipment and the data collective center of wireless communication system was carried out. It evaluated the reliability of wireless communication data for the suitability evaluation of cable/wireless data collected while 73 days.

Development of Automatic Incident Detection Algorithm Using Image Based Detectors (영상기반의 자동 유고검지 모형 개발)

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop automatic incident detection algorithm using image based detector in freeway management system. This algorithm was developed by using neutral network for high speed roadway and by using speed and occupancy variable for low speed roadway. The image detector system with the developed automatic incident detection algorithm can detect multi-lane as well as several detect areas for each lane. To evaluate this system, field tests to measure the detecting rate of incidents were performed with other systems which have APID and DES algorithm at high speed roadway(freeway) and low speed roadway(national arterial). As the results of field test, it found that the detect rate of this system was highest rate comparing to other two systems.

  • Difficulties in riding, driving and parking are a common issue which inevitably appears in city urbanization and city modernization development all over the world. However, those cities differ in controlling the traffic. According to the specific practice in Shanghai, this article presents the various factors which affect the traffic capacity and the operation quality. This article also outlines transportation system management technique of overall coordination and comprehensive control in the following seven aspects: controlling traffic motivation; improving traffic distribution; reasonably and scientifically selecting travel mode, travel route and travel time; reinforcing traffic management and road construction. The article finally suggests that above mentioned points are cost-effective ways of handling traffic plight for metropolitan transport.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a sensor based service model for traffic facilities in u-City through analysing the present condition of urban infrastructure, especially traffic facilities management. In order to achieve this purpose, we did a comparative analysis of internal and external situation of ITS(Intelligent Transport System) and classified service for traffic facilities to 3 categories, namely traffic flow management, traffic information offering, formation of road structure. Also, we examined technological trend of USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network). Through this process, we present a sensor based service model of traffic facilities for building sustainable road environment.

  • 사회가 고도의 정보화 사회로 발전됨에 따라 효율적인 국토관리를 유지하고 발전시키기 위해 국가지리정보체계에 관한 관심이 고조되고 있고 산ㆍ학ㆍ연에서 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 국내외를 막론하고 각 국에서는 21세기에는 국토관리를 디지털화하고 있다. 행정자치부에서는 지적도면전산화사업을 2005년에 완료를 목표로 추진하고 있으며, 건설교통부의 지형도전산화사업은 완료단계에 있다. 또한 가스, 전기, 통신 등의 시설물관리를 위해 수치지적도를 필요로 하는 기관에서는 독자적으로 지적도 수치화작업을 추진하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국가지리정보체계의 일환으로 지적도면 및 지형도전산화사업의 추진현황을 파악하고 지적정보와 지형공간정보 관리의 이원화로 불편을 겪고 있는 문제점을 도출하여 연계ㆍ활용 및 개선방향을 심도 있게 파악하고 분석하여 단계적 해결방안을 제시함으로써 지적정보와 지형공간정보를 연계하여 효율적으로 이용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였으며, 행정업무 및 국민의 일상생활에까지 지적과 지형공간자료의 연계를 통한 행정의 효율성 및 국민편익에 유익한 결론을 얻을 수 있었다.
