We treated the persistent ruminative vomiting of a 13-year-old autistic boy by using a behavioral and psychopharmacological approach in a closed ward. Before the interventions, the patient had lost about 10kg of body weight due to very high-frequency ruminative vomiting. Together with psychopharmacological trials, the psychiatric treatment included a combination of a behavioral approach and food regulation that emphasized food restrictions, and we provided regular light meals. There was a considerable reduction of the ruminative vomiting and 2kg weight gain was achieved during the admission. These therapeutic gains were maintained at the 4-month follow-up assessment and the vomiting symptom reached a near-zero level and the weight loss were recovered by about 8kg. The issues related to the treatment approaches for ruminative vomiting with autism are discussed.

The incidence of chemothrapy related among pediatric cancer patient was 90.1%. Adequate oral intake and nutrition have been shown to be important. These consideration prompted the decision to survey by means of a questionaire. The questionaire were included nausea-vomiting peak time, causing factor, coping method, education need, diet pattern change and food preference. Results are fellow 1. Almost(90.1%) pediatric cancer patient experienced nausea-vomiting during chemotherapy and required coping method or reducing method. 2 . The food preference form were Identified. Those were fluid form, cold and small amout and frequentry eating form. The patients preferred noodles, chickens, soap, juice. The results of the survey indicate that nasea-vomiting relief nursing intervention are required pediatric cancer patient received chemotherapy. Health care personnels recognize the pediatric cancer patient's diet pattern and encourage the nutritional counselling. The care of patient should be multidisciplinary team approach and the nurse occupies a key position with in this team, which includes the pediatrician, nutrionist.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify the comparison with the different methods of acupressure treatment in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: This study was a single group pretest-posttest design. Thirty patients age 30-65 scheduled for chemotherapy were included. The data were collected through self- reported questionnaires on nausea, vomiting, and anorexia and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon signed ranked test. Results: The relieving effect of nausea and vomiting (Z= -2.54, p= .011) was significant in P6 acupressure by wrist bands. Conclusion: Patients undergoing chemotherapy have relieving effects on nausea and vomiting after P6 acupressure by wrist band. This study demonstrates the stimulation of the P6 acupressure by wrist band for reducing nausea and vomiting for breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

저자들은 출생 직후부터 심한 혈변과 구토 증상을 보인 신생아의 위액과 변에서 아메바를 확인하여 자궁 내에서 감염된 것으로 판단되는 신생아 아메바증을 경험하고 치료하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the effects of auricular acupressure on nausea, vomiting and serum serotonin level in gynecological cancer patients with chemotherapy. Methods: The research was a randomized control group pretest-posttest design. Participants were 26 patients for the experimental group, and 26 patients for the control group. Auricular acupressure in Shen men, Occiput, Stomach and Sympathetic points was administered to those in the experimental group. Data were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$-test, t-test, ANCOVA, and repeated measures of ANOVA. Results: The experimental group had reported significantly lower mean nausea NRS (Number Rating Scale), INVR (Index of Nausea, Vomiting, and Retching), and serum serotonin level than those in the control group. Conclusion: Results of the study show auricular acupressure is an effective nursing intervention for reducing chemotherapy-induced nausea, vomiting and serum serotonin level of gynecological cancer patients.

폐염은 아기가 감기를 않고 대개는 4~5일 지나서 병원을 찾는 경우가 흔합니다. 3~4일간 계속 감기 치료를 하였는데도 불구하고 기침이 점점 심해진다든가, 고열이 계속 된다든가 하면 의사를 찾아가서 친찰을 받아야 합니다. 처음에는 구토를 하는 경우도 있고 숨쉬는 속도가 빨라지면서 어떤 아기는 경련까지 하기도 합니다.
