A Frequency Offset Compensation Technique for the High Order QAM using a Phase Differential Equation (고차 QAM에 적합한 위상 미분을 이용한 주파수 오차 보정 회로)

  • In this paper, we present a carrier recovery circuit using the polarity-decision algorithm that recovers a phase and a frequency error simultaneously. The proposed algorithm catches a frequency error based on a differential of an angular velocity of the signal constellations. Using the differential of a phase error may compensate the frequency error. The symbol prediction method in the proposed algorithm accumulates the symbols, which makes easy to calculate a phase differential. The hardware size of the algerian is small since we use Q data or I only to get phase information. As a result, the algerian shows a pull-in range of normalized frequency error 0.5 under AWGN 15dB.

Position Error Analysis of Digital Map for LIS/GIS Database (LIS/GIS의 D/B구축을 위한 수치지도의 위치오차분석에 관한 연구)

  • In the digital mapping for data base contruction, the positional information is used as an important tool in LIS/GIS(Land Information System/Geographic Information System) that is used for a facility management, urban/cadastral management as well as in spatial analysis. In this paper, for an error analysis of X, Y coordinates data on digital map, test area was classified by topography, density, and slope. The coordinates on topographic map were assumed as true values and they were compared with the coordinates on digital map. A result of the numerical test show that a vector data of line type had more gross error than vector data of polygon type. And, SME(stanadrd mean error) of urban or intermountain area had small values compared to that of suburban area in topography analysis. The SME of dense and middle zone had small values compared to that of loose zone in density analysis. In another slope analysis. the SME of steep of gentle slope had small values compared to that of flatland.

  • 지구온난화는 집중호우 및 태풍의 빈도와 규모를 증가시키는 원인이 되었으며, 전 세계적으로 홍수로 인한 피해가 발생하고 있다. 한국에서는 2020년 홍수로 인하여 1조 이상의 피해가 발생하였으며, 2021년에는 호우로 인한 피해가 60%이상을 차지하였다. 과거에는 구조적인 대책을 수립하기 위하여 경제성 높은 치수사업을 결정하는 연구들이 수행되었다. 하지만 치수 사업은 지구온난화를 가속시키게 되며 그로 인해 집중호우의 빈도와 규모가 증가하는 악순환이 발생하게 된다. 따라서 최근에는 비구조적 대책인 홍수 예경보를 수행하여 홍수에 대응하고자 홍수 예경보 지점을 확대하고 있다. 홍수 예경보는 강우-유출 모형을 이용하여 유출량을 산정하고, 일정 수위를 초과하면 홍수 경보가 발령된다. 하지만 강우-유출 모형의 경우 많은 매개변수 값을 요구하며, 강우 사상에 따라 다른 매개변수를 산정하는데 많은 시간을 필요로 한다. 따라서 특정 강우 사상에 따라 매개변수 값을 고정하여 유출량을 산정하고 있으나, 이는 실제 유출량과 예측 유출량과의 오차가 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 강우-유출 모형의 오차를 AI로 예측하여 유출량을 보정하는 연구를 수행하고자 하였다. 강우-유출 모형에서는 유출량을 산정하고 그에 따른 오차를 생성하게 된다. 그리고 산정된 오차들을 이용하여 오차를 예측할 수 있는 AI 모형을 개발하게 된다. 최종적으로 강우-유출 모형의 유출량과 AI 모형의 오차가 결합되어 보정된 유출량을 산정하게 된다. 강우-유출 모형과 AI 모형이 결합된 Hybrid model은 기존의 단일로 사용했을 때의 발생할 수 있는 강우-유출 모형의 문제를 개선할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • A methodology for determining age by otolith of small yellow croaker, Pseudosoiaena polyactis Bleeker, was developed. A thin section method was chosen to be suitable for age determination because the otolith had a three-dimensional shape and thus it was not possible to read the otolith rings on the surface. The clear rings were identified on the vertical-axis cross-sectioned otoliths. The total length-total weight relationship and the growth parameters were estimated with error structure to endow with accuracy. In the relationship between total length and total weight, a multiplicative error structure was assumed because variability in growth increased as a function of the length, and the estimated equation was $W=0.0049L^{3.2153}$. The variability in growth was constant as a function of the age, revealing an additive error structure. The von Bertalanffy growth parameters were obtained from a nonlinear regression as $L_{\infty}= 37.11cm, K=0.20/yr and t_0=-1.88.$

  • In this paper, we present a new approach to extract the g-sensitivity scale-factor error for a MEMS gyroscope. MEMS gyroscopes, based on the use of both angular momentum and the Coriolis effect, have a g-sensitivity error due to mass unbalance. Generally, the g-sensitivity error is not considered in general use of gyroscopes, but it deserves our attention if we are to develop for tactical class performance and reliability. The g-sensitivity error during vehicle flight increases navigation error; so it must be analyzed and compensated for the use of MEMS IMU for high dynamics vehicle systems. Therefore, we analyzed how to extract the g-sensitivity scale-factor error from the inertial sensor error model. Furthermore we propose a new method to extract the g-sensitivity error using flight motion simulator. We verified our proposed method with experimental results.

  • A new controller which can achieve the asymptotic tracking is proposed for the nonlinear system having a uncertainty in the input coefficient. A high gain observer is used to estimate the state variables when the nonlinear system has a modeling uncertainty. A variable structure control is used to achieve an asymptotic tracking, while ultimate boundness was achieved in the previous work. A Lyapunov analysis is used to justify the our proposal. The performance of proposed method is demonstrated via simulation.

  • Recently, many researches are being dealt with the adaptive method for improving the accuracy of finite element solution. This paper deals with rh-methods that are the combination of r and h-method ; r-method is to relocate the nodes for the grid optimization, h-method is to divide the elements with great error into the equal shape. As a results, rh-method has the same error decrease and convergence as h-method in the same degree of freedom, but it has more exact result of finite element in the state of restraining degrees of freedom than h-method alone.

  • For compensation of channel distortion from multipath fading and impulsive noise, a decision feedback equalizer (DFE) algorithm based on minimization of Error entropy (MEE) is proposed. The MEE criterion has not been studied for DFE structures and impulsive noise environments either. By minimizing the error entropy with respect to equalizer weight based on decision feedback structures, the proposed decision feedback algorithm has shown to have superior capability of residual intersymbol interference cancellation in simulation environments with severe multipath and impulsive noise.

  • Step-by-step time integration methods are widely used for solving structural dynamics problem. One difficult yet critical choice an analyst must make is to decide an appropriate time step size. The choice of time step size has a significant effect on solution accuracy and computational expense. The objective of this research is to derive error estimate for newly developed time integration method and develop automatic time step size control algorithm for structural dynamics. A formula for computing error tolerance is derived based on desired period resolution. An automatic time step size control strategy is proposed based on a normalized local error estimate for the generalized-α method. Numerical examples demonstrate the developed strategy satisfies general design criteria for time step size control algorithm for dynamic problem.

  • 디지털 TV 전송 방식중의 하나인 ATSC 8-VSB 시스템의 등화기는 훈련신호가 존재하는 구간에서 LMS 알고리즘을 사용하는 DFE 적옹 등화기가 사용된다. 그러나 LMS 알고리즘은 그 수렴속도가 느리고 수렴 후 오차 수준이 다른 적응 알고리즘에 비해 높다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 LMS 알고리즘을 사용하는 DFE의 오차 수준을 낮추기 위한 선형 등화기 구조의 전 처리부(pre-processor)를 사용하여 필터 수렴 후의 DFE의 오차수준을 기존의 DFE보다 낮추었으며 제안된, DFE 구조의 성능을 컴퓨터 모의 실험을 통해 분석하였다.
