Imperfection Mode of Thin Metallic Sandwich Plate with Pyramidal Metallic Inner Structures (피라미드형 금속 내부구조체를 가진 얇은 금속샌드위치 판재의 결함 모드)

  • Thin metallic sandwich plate with pyramidal metallic inner structures is manufactured from a continuous projection welding between face sheets and inner structures. Due to the welding pressure, imperfections of inner structures induced by the deformation of the inner structures occur. The imperfections affect the response of the thin metallic sandwich plate subjected to low-velocity impact loading. The goal of this paper is to obtain a proper dominant imperfection mode of the thin metallic sandwich plate with pyramidal metallic inner structures. The variation of impact responses of the thin metallic sandwich plate for different imperfection modes are investigated by finite element analysis. The results of the FE analysis are compared to those of drop impact experiments. From the results of the comparison, it has been shown that the dominant imperfection mode of the thin metallic sandwich plate with pyramidal metallic inner structures is all type of symmetric imperfection mode with symmetrical imperfections of four struts.

Seismic Responses of Seismically-Isolated Nuclear Power Plants considering Aging of High Damping Rubber Bearing in Different Temperature Environments (다른 온도환경에서 고감쇠고무 적층받침의 경년열화를 고려한 면진 원전구조물의 지진응답)

  • The isolators have been generally used to reduce a seismic force. If the isolators apply to the nuclear power plants(NPPs), the durability and capacity for the structures and equipments should be ensured during the life time. In this study, the long-term behavior of isolated NPPs was analyzed for ensuring the seismic safety. The properties of isolator due to the age-related degradation were analyzed. And the seismic behavior of isolated buildings was analyzed by considering the aging of rubber bearings in different temperature environments. According to the analysis results, the natural frequency of structures was increased with time. But the maximum acceleration and maximum displacement of isolated structures have not changed significantly. Although the damaged of structure did not occurred by aging of isolators, it was presented that the spectral acceleration at the target frequency of isolated structure increased with the temperature. Therefore the isolators in the isolated buildings should be carefully designed and manufactured considering the temperature-dependancy of rubber material.

  • 이방향 천공 발파공법의 실용성을 입증하여 실시공에 착수하기 위해서는 수치해석을 통하여 사전에 종방향 및 방사방향 천공발파에 따른 지표면에서의 지반진동의 영향을 알아보는 것이 필요하였다. 정확한 현장조건과 발파하중이 주어진 상태에서의 정밀해를 구하기 위해서는 시공상의 발파패턴대로 전체 발파공을 모형화하는 것이 필요하나 앞서 언급한 바와 같이 해석목적상 기존공법과 신공법의 지반응답의 차이를 비교하는 것이 주목적이였기 때문에 해석조건을 동일하게 가정하고 발파공도 대표적인 방향성을 가지는 1개공만을 선택하여 해석을 수행하였다. 기존 종방향 천공 발파공법과 신공법인 이방향 천공 발파공법의 상대적 비교를 위한 3차원 동적 해석결과, 관심의 대상이 되는 터널 직상부의 경우 기존의 종방향 천공 발파에 비해 이방향 천공발파는 진동이 두드러지게 감소함을 알 수 있었으며 이는 발파공의 방향성에 따라 지반응답이 크게 영향을 받는다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 터널굴착시 문제시 되는 지상구조물의 위치에 따라 발파공의 위치를 적절히 조절함으로써 문제발생 예상지역의 진동치를 감소시킬 수 있을 것이라 판단된다. 그러나 이러한 잇점은 확대발파전 파이롯트 터널이라는 자유공간이 존재할 때만 가능하므로 이방향 천공 발파공법은 TBM의 효용성을 극대화시킨 것이라 할 수 있다.

Dynamic Response Characteristics for Two-layered Trackbed Structure by Train Load (열차하중에 의한 이층노반구조의 동적 응답특성)

  • It is difficult to clarify the dynamic response characteristics of trackbed because of various environmental conditions. However, track irregularity be affected by ununiformed bearing capacity and its dynamic response, study for dynamic response characteristics is required to investigate the cause of track irregularity and countermeasure. In this paper, the response variation for dominant frequency and vibration energy by trackbed structure and material stiffness are investigated. The analysis section is two layered ground structure that is comprised of trackbed and soft rock. This structure amplifies the energy of dominant range easily. It is evaluated to affect track irregularity on comparing by theoritical, analytical and empirical method for dynamic response of the trackbed.

  • Through the full scale ship collision response analysis of high speed passenger ship with underwater floating matters, the objective of this study is to perform the crashworthy safety assessment of its hull and passengers. For this safety assessment, diverse collision scenarios could be established through the thorough understanding of damage mechanisms due to the collision of its hydrofoil system with underwater floating matter examining the damage informations of its hull and passengers from the collision accidents, and through the estimation of the damages of its hull and passenger. The next step, crashworthy safety assessment of its hull and passengers, was carried out by the collision response analyses of high speed passenger ship with underwater floating matter using Fluid-Structure Interaction(FSI) analysis technique of LS-DYNA code in consideration of surrounding water, and using local zooming analysis technique.

  • 본 논문에서는 지반-구조물 상호작용계의 강성에 관련된 물성값들을 지진계측결과를 바탕으로 효과적으로 추정할 수 있는 방법에 대해 연구하였으며 제안된 방법의 검증은 국제공동 연구의 일환으로 최근 대만의 화련에 건설된 대형지진시험구조물에서 계측된 지진 응답을 사용하여 수행하였다. 지반-구조물 상호작용계의 지진응답해석을 위해서 구조물과 근역지반은 축대칭유한요소로 모형화하고 원역지반은 축대칭 무한요소를 사용하였으며 이때 입력 지진하중은 부구조법에 근거한 파입력기법이 고려되었다 지진계측결과를 사용하여 각 영역의 물성값을 제약적 최속강하법을 사용하여 추정하였는데 추정된 계수들을 사용하여 계산된 지진응답이 계측치와 매우 잘 일치하여 추정결과의 타당성을 검증할 수 있었다.

Effect of Smooth Hysteretic Behavior for Inelastic Response Spectra (비탄성 응답스펙트럼에 대한 완만한 곡선형 이력거동의 영향)

  • The actual hysteretic behavior of structural elements and systems is closer to smooth hysteretic behavior than piece-wise linear behavior. This paper presents a methodology for computing the constant-ductility inelastic response spectra for smooth hysteretic behaviors. The effect of the hysteretic smoothness on the inelastic response spectra for acceleration, displacement, and input energy is evaluated. The results indicate that increasing smoothness in the hysteretic behavior decreases the inelastic response spectra.

  • 동적무한요소를 이용한 지반-구조물 상호작용에 대하여 연구하였다. 동적무한요소는 무한원방향으로 전파되어 나가는 여러종류의 지진파 성분을 동시에 모형화 할 수 있도록 개발된 축대칭요소로서, 구조물에서 멀리 떨어진 지반영역(외부영역)을 모형화 하는데 사용되었다. 반면, 구조물에 가까운 지반영역(내부영역)은 재래의 축대칭요소를 사용하여 모형화 하였다. 본 해석방법의 검증은 적충된 반무한 지반위에 놓여진 원형강판의 임피던스함수를 구하여, 이를 이론적 결과와 비교하는 방법으로 수행되었다. 또한, 지반에 일부가 묻힌 원통형구조물에 대하여 수행된 강제진동시험 결과와 실제 지진발생시 구조물의 거동기록을 같은 입력조건에 대하여 본 해법으로 구한 결과와도 비교하였다. 해석결과로 부터 본 해석방법이 구조물의 거동을 타당히 산정하여 줌을 알 수 있었다.

Research on Dynamic Behavior of Double-Layer Barrelvault Arch Systems Subjected to Earthquake Loadings (지진하중에 대한 복층 배럴볼트 시스템의 동적거동에 대한 연구)

  • This paper presents dynamic behavior of double-layer barrelvault systems subjected to earthquake loadings. In order to investigate different seismic behaviors according to Time History Analysis (THA), six open angles were employed and different fundamental frequencies corresponding to each open angle were considered. A total of 24 double-layer structures were developed by using Midas Gen., which is a computer analysis program and then THA with three different earthquakes with 5% damping ratio was performed. This study investigated the characteristics of the dynamic response for X-, Y- and Z- directions, both subjected to the horizontal earthquake (H) and applied to the vertical earthquake (V) with respect to the each variable, which assumed to be important aspects for spatial structure. In order to examine the dynamic characteristics, the ratio of acceleration in specific nodes of barrelvaults was evaluated at the time with maximum response. The main purpose of this study is to obtain equations of the equivalent earthquake loading with respect to the barrelvault systems.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study of the applicability of the current response spectrum analysis method by grasping the dynamic behavior characteristics of soil-pile and pier-crane in pile mooring facilities. To this end, time history analysis was performed using Abaqus as a design variable for various soil types, pile-ground modeling, and structure specific cycles. The results were compared with the analysis results of the response spectrum. Subsequently, a problem has been found in the current response spectrum analysis and the improvements are needed when considering the dynamic behavior of the ground-pile and pier-crane of the pile mooring facility.
