Comparison and Review of Design Codes for Moment Redistribution (모멘트 재분배에 관한 각 국의 설계기준 비교.검토)

  • Moment redistribution problem that reflects plasticity concept is foundation of limit state design and it has been interested to design engineers and researchers for a long time, because it enables the reasonable estimation of strength of structures through amount of reinforcement control about negative moment in support. Many researchers find that moment redistribution closely related to ductility of degree of structure and there are a lot of difficulties in achieving the reliable experimental results because of a lot of restriction of experiment. So, studies are achieved for indirect estimate methods about ductility ability of structures. Each design standards limits that the degree of redistribution of bending moment is based on the measurement of ductility of structure, and it shows conservative results. In this study, with these results, present the basic data for reasonable strength estimation methods and allowed moment redistribution of reinforced concrete continuous beams.

Study of Efficient Algorithm for Deduplication of Complex Structure (복잡한 구조의 데이터 중복제거를 위한 효율적인 알고리즘 연구)

  • The amount of data generated has been growing exponentially, and the complexity of data has been increasing owing to the advancement of information technology (IT). Big data analysts and engineers have therefore been actively conducting research to minimize the analysis targets for faster processing and analysis of big data. Hadoop, which is widely used as a big data platform, provides various processing and analysis functions, including minimization of analysis targets through Hive, which is a subproject of Hadoop. However, Hive uses a vast amount of memory for data deduplication because it is implemented without considering the complexity of data. Therefore, an efficient algorithm has been proposed for data deduplication of complex structures. The performance evaluation results demonstrated that the proposed algorithm reduces the memory usage and data deduplication time by approximately 79% and 0.677%, respectively, compared to Hive. In the future, performance evaluation based on a large number of data nodes is required for a realistic verification of the proposed algorithm.

  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change, shortages of essential commodities and resources continue to occur globally. To address this problem, trade volume demand suddenly increased, driving up the freight rate of container ships sharply. The size of container vessels progressively increased from 1,500 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) in the 1960s to 24,400 TEU in 2021. As the improvement of container loading capacity is closely related to the enlargement of the lashing bridge structure, it is necessary to design a structure effective for good container securing and safe under the various external loads that occur during voyage. Major classification societies have recently issued structural-analysis-based guidelines to evaluate the structural safety of lashing bridges, but their acceptance criteria and evaluation methods are different, causing confusion among engineers during design. In this study, the strength change characteristics are summarized by variations in the main variables (modeling range, opening consideration, mesh size) likely to affect the results. Based on this result, the authors propose a reasonable structural-analysis-based evaluation that is expected to serve as a reference in the next revision of classification standards.

Internet-based Repair for Aircraft Composites (인터넷 기반의 항공기용 복합재의 보수)

  • An Internet-based software called the Repair Advisory Service (RAS) was developed to assist aircraft composite repair. The RAS takes advantage of the web user interface and provides estimation of the failure loads of repaired composite laminates and Structural Repair Manual (SRM) with search capability. In this paper, a failure model of lap repair is discussed as an example of the modules in the RAS. The model takes into account anisotropy of each ply in the laminate and in the repair ply, and non-elastic behavior of the interlayer between the laminate and the repair patch. Failure loads calculated by the model were compared with test data, and a good agreement was found between the results of the model and the test.

Heat Treatment Effects of Staggered Tunnel Barrier (Si3N4 / HfAlO) for Non-volatile Memory Application

  • NAND형 charge trap flash (CTF) non-volatile memory (NVM) 소자가 30nm node 이하로 고집적화 되면서, 기존의 SONOS형 CTF NVM의 tunnel barrier로 쓰이는 SiO2는 direct tunneling과 stress induced leakage current (SILC)등의 효과로 인해 data retention의 감소 등 물리적인 한계에 이르렀다. 이에 따라 개선된 retention과 빠른 쓰기/지우기 속도를 만족시키기 위해서 tunnel barrier engineering (TBE)가 제안되었다. TBE NVM은 tunnel layer의 전위장벽을 엔지니어드함으로써 낮은 전압에서 전계의 민감도를 향상 시켜 동일한 두께의 단일 SiO2 터널베리어 보다 빠른 쓰기/지우기 속도를 확보할 수 있다. 또한 최근에 각광받는 high-k 물질을 TBE NVM에 적용시키는 연구가 활발히 진행 중이다. 본 연구에서는 Si3N4와 HfAlO (HfO2 : Al2O3 = 1:3)을 적층시켜 staggered의 새로운 구조의 tunnel barrier Capacitor를 제작하여 전기적 특성을 후속 열처리 온도와 방법에 따라 평가하였다. 실험은 n-type Si (100) wafer를 RCA 클리닝 실시한 후 Low pressure chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD)를 이용하여 Si3N4 3 nm 증착 후, Atomic layer deposition (ALD)를 이용하여 HfAlO를 3 nm 증착하였다. 게이트 전극은 e-beam evaporation을 이용하여 Al를 150 nm 증착하였다. 후속 열처리는 수소가 2% 함유된 질소 분위기에서 $300^{\circ}C$$450^{\circ}C$에서 Forming gas annealing (FGA) 실시하였고 질소 분위기에서 $600^{\circ}C{\sim}1000^{\circ}C$까지 Rapid thermal annealing (RTA)을 각각 실시하였다. 전기적 특성 분석은 후속 열처리 공정의 온도와 열처리 방법에 따라 Current-voltage와 Capacitance-voltage 특성을 조사하였다.

  • 플라스틱 사출 제품은 다양한 가전제품과 하이테크 제품에 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 현재의 치열한 경쟁적 비즈니스 환경에서 플라스틱 사출 제품 제조업자들은 고객을 만족시키면서 경쟁력을 얻기 위하여 다른 경쟁자들보다 먼저 새로운 제품을 시장에 출시하고 신제품의 개발기간을 줄이기 위한 노력을 할 여유가 부족하다. 따라서 무한경쟁의 시장에서 살아남기 위해서는 제조업자들은 시장 마켓 점유를 빠르게 올리는 것과 동시에 제품의 가격 경쟁력을 가져야 한다. 특징기반 모델의 구조는 현재 연구에서 3D 제작 도구로서 일반적으로 적용되고 있으며 신제품 개발 엔지니어들이 새로운 제품의 개념을 개발하는 데에도 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 특징기반 플라스틱 사출제품을 위한 유전자 알고리즘과 Support Vector Regression (SVR) 기반의 새로운 하이브리드 비용 평가 모델을 제안한다. 제안하는 하이브리드 모델은 기존의 플라스틱 사출제품의 비용평가절차와 계산을 위해 필요로 하는 변수들을 극적으로 간단하게 하고 줄일 수 있다. 사례연구에서는 제안하는 하이브리드 모델과 기존의 multilayer perceptron networks (MLP) 및 pure SVR과의 비교분석을 통하여 제안모델이 플라스틱 사출 제품의 개발단계에서의 비용평가문제를 해결하는데 효율성과 효과성이 있음을 입증한다.

21세기를 대비한 초고속 해상수송체계 개발

  • 가스터빈, 워터제트 등 기존의 추진시스템을 이용한 초고속선의 핵심기술 등을 종합하여 중형 화물선은 일본 TSL 수준에 도달시키고 중간목표로 설정한 선박의 실용화를 단계적으로 추진 하며, 선형기술, 선체 구조기술, 추진시스템기술, 원자력 안전기술, 해상 교통관제기술 등 이에 필요한 기술을 개발한다. 이들 기술은 21세기에 걸맞는 최첨단 기술이 될 것이다. 선박개발과 병행하여 초고속 선박의 운항과 조화를 이루는 고속 하역설비를 갖춘 항만시설의 개발도 함께 추진되어야 할 것이다. 초고속 해상 물류체계의 구축을 위해서는 수송 수단인 선박뿐만 아니라 항만, 하역시스템의 고속 현대화가 필요하다. 그러므로 초고속 선박과 접안, 하역이 가능한 전 용항만의 설계와 개발을 위해서는 이에 관련된 국내의 공공연구기관들과 SOC 관련 엔지니어 링사, 조선사 등 민간기업의 참여로 추진해야할 것이다. 또한 원자력 추진선 개발을 위해서는 선박용 원자로 및 연료기술이 필요하므로 원자력영구소와 미국의 참여로 공동개발하며, 상대국 에도 전용 항구가 필요하므로 해당국가간의 협약에 의해 하역장비, 운한 안전기술 등을 개발하고 건설하는 등 국제 컨소시엄의 구성이 바람직하다. 다만 기술개발의 성공과 핵심기술의 확보를 위하여 우리나라가 Initiative를 장악할 필요가 있다고 판단된다.

  • Recently, as construction projects are getting bigger and more complex, the number of participants has been tremendously increased. According to the current trend, the necessity of collaboration design management controlling communication and information exchange among many participants has came up. So this study considers the roles and tasks of each participant and informations that occur in each design stage, and looks into the present status of collaboration in design management of domestic design companies. Finally, the function of collaboration system is drove. It supports tasks of design participants, such as input design outcome, decision making among concerned people and solution of design change and interference.

  • Nowadays, a lot of software engineers struggle with the efficient back-end design of mobile application programs operated on the new mobile platform. It is simply because not only their lack of experiences in developing large scale system but also the unstructured nature of the mobile software, where there are no standard solutions. Furthermore, since big data is at the center of many challenges in system design of mobile software, so an efficient system design scheme is required for the development of such data-intensive applications. In this paper, we propose a systematic and efficient system design method that can figure out the substantial nature of the mobile software and solve the difficulties of the back-end software engineers.

Development of a Prototype for the Digitalized Nuclear Power Plant's Main Control Room (원자력발전소 디지털형 주제어실 모형 개발)

  • Domestic Kori-1 MCR was partially modified in 2007 and will be renovated entirely in 2013. Digital devices partially replacing original analog devices have been introduced and standard alone computer systems such as SPDS have been integrated into the plant computer. Upgrading KSNP's MCR based on the ditalization is planned for 2015. However, the site engineers and operators are reluctant to the advanced systems. Therefore, a prototype for the KSNP's advanced MCR has been developed to increase the acceptance level of the operators and field engineers and also, to evaluate user interfaces and I&C architecture. For enhancing support of the operators' work, a P&ID based display system composed of multi-layers, which are linked through a context sensitive menu each other, has been adopted. The $1^{st}$ layer displays a simplified P&ID, the $2^{nd}$ layer control related diagrams such as controllers and logic diagrams, the $3^{rd}$ layer trends, etc. The end point view of MCR for KSNP is also suggested considering reliability and operability of the digital systems. Additionally, modernization strategies over the overhaul periods, that do not have much impact on operation and configuration efforts are suggested.
