The actual wave is multi-direction irregular wave. In the case of a long structure, a reduction effect of the wave occurs. In this study, in order to grasp the extent to which these influences contribute to the failure probability and compare the existing modular breakwaters to the stability, we used existing modular breakwaters and long caisson breakwaters using wave force reduction parameter to analysis the reliability. As a result, the reliability index of the long caisson breakwater was higher than that of the existing modular caisson breakwater, and it was confirmed that the significant wave height of the design variables had the highest influence. In addition, the reliability analysis was performed according to the change of the mean value of the variables used in the calculation of the wave force reduction parameter. It is confirmed that the relationship between each variable value and the wave force reduction parameter appears in the analysis results.

이용한 해마의 부피측정은 해마경화증 환자의 진단에 있어 육안적인 MR 진단이 어려운 제한된 경우에만 실제적 도움을 줄 수 있는 보조적인 방법으로 생각된다.ofile whereas relaxivity at high field is not affected by τS. Recently, the corrosion and aging of bridge structures are of great concern impractical The uncertainties of the corroded reinforced bars in concrete influence not only the safety of the bridge structures, but also the flexural strength of reinforced concrete members. This paper considers these uncertainties by providing a reliability-based framework and show that the identification of the optimum maintenance scenario is a straightforward process. This is achieved by using a computer pro망am for Life Cycle Cost Analysis of Deteriorating Structures (LCCADS). This program can consider the effects of various types of actions on the reliability index profile of a deteriorating structures.

Reliability analysis of jacket type offshore wind turbine (OWT) support structure under extreme ocean environmental loads was performed. Limit state function (LSF) of OWF support structure is defined by using structural dynamic response at mud-line. Then, the dynamic response is expressed as the static response multiplied by dynamic response factor (DRF). Probabilistic distribution of DRF is found from response time history under design significant wave load. Band limited beta distribution is used for internal friction angle of ground soil. Wind load is obtained in the form of thrust force from commercial code called GH_Bladed and then, applied to tower hub as random load. In a numerical example, the response surface method (RSM) is used to express LSF of jacket type support structure for 5MW OWF. Reliability index is found using first order reliability method (FORM).

There is the need to balance safety, economy and serviceability in all phases of society problems. This is especially true in structural code formulation. where a framework is established by which practicing structural engineers can be assured of designing structures that reasonably meet the above three objectives. The existing design codes, which are generally based on the structural theory and certain engineering experience, do not realistically consider the uncertainties of loads and resistances and the basic reliability concepts. The purpose of the present study is therefore to develop the realistic reliability-based design criteria to secure adequate safety arid reliability, and to derive the models for partial and combined resistance factor formats. To this end, the reliability levels of our existing design code for concrete structures are first evaluated and the target reliabilities are determined, the new code formats are evolved from these target reliabilities. The present study indicates that the proposed formats exhibit relatively-uniform reliability and reasonably take into account the different material characteristics of concrete and steel in concrete structures.

The reliability evaluation may be a efficient method for estimating of the quantitative structural safety considering the effect of uncertainties included in high-speed railway bridges. The expected life-cycle cost(LCC) based upon the reliability evaluation will reasonably offer the safety level and design criteria of high-speed railway bridges. Therefore, this study determined the expected life-cycle cost and optimal design method of high-speed railway bridges on the basis of the result of the numerical analysis and reliability evaluation. For this, after creating various design method based upon the standard design of high-speed railway bridges, the numerical analysis is conducted on each of the alternative design methods. The reliability evaluation by the design strength limit state function is conducted considering the effect of external uncertainties on the basis of the numerical analysis result. The expected life-cycle cost of high-speed railway bridges is calculated on the basis of the reliability evaluation result by each of the alternative design methods. Also, the optimal design method is determined using the calculated expected life-cycle cost. In addition, The result of reliability evaluation and expected life-cycle cost of optimal design method are examined considering the effect of internal uncertainties. It is expected that the result of this study can be used as a basic information for the systematic safety evaluation and optimal structure design of high-speed railway bridges.

Reliability analysis of pile type quaywalls were done by using response surface method. Pier structures have implicit form of limit state function since they are flexible in motion, which is different from gravity type quaywalls. To solve a reliability analysis problem with implicit limit state function, response surface method was applied. Reliability indices of structure under seismic load were found for pier structures Then, they were compared with those found by simulation method. In numerical analysis, both the inclined type and vertical type were analyzed.
