Steady-state and Transient Performance Simulation and Limit Control for Compressor Surge and Turbine Over-temperature of Turboprop Engine (PT6A-62) (터보프롭 엔진(PT6A-62)의 동.정적 성능모사와 압축기 서지 및 터빈 자온 제어연구)

  • The steady-state and transient performance simulation program for a turboprop engine(PT6A-62) was developed. Specially this program included some algorithms, such as flat-rated behaviors in performance and limit control algorithms to prevent the compressor surge and the compressor-turbine inlet limit temperature overshoot. In order to minimize analysis errors, on interpolation method in component characteristics using matching errors and specific heat and specific heat ratio, which are functions of temperatures were used. The developed steady state performance analysis program can handle various conditions such as altitude, bleed extraction, inlet temperature and pressure and part throttle, and the transient performance analysis program incorporated a general mode for transient simulation and a control mode for prevention of the compressor surge and the turbine inlet limit temperature overshoot.

  • It is essential to understand the characteristics of gas turbine components in order to carry out an off-design analysis of a gas turbine engine. In this study, a micro gas turbine engine test system was constructed to understand the performance characteristics of gas turbines. The temperature and pressure in the flow path of the micro gas turbine was collected by measuring the engine spool speed, and a compressor map was constructed by using the experimental data. The exhaust gas was collected at the turbine outlet and the combustion efficiency was calculated. An off-design performance analysis at ground static was performed using GasTurb software by applying the compressor map and combustion efficiency obtained from the experimental data. Futhermore, we compared and evaluated the analysis results with engine operating data.

  • Performance test was conducted by micro gas turbine engine. A small test rig was established for the performance measurement of the micro gas turbine engine. The performance was conducted by the Olympus HP engine. Engine inlet mass flow rate, static thrust, fuel consumption rate, air and gas temperature at the inlet of major components were measured. In the test results, we could well understand about the micro gas turbine engine performance characteristics.

  • The service life extension of the missile can reduce the replacement cost of the missile, maintain the combat power, and consist of the lifetime assessment of the shelf-life(energetic) items, the maintenance of the missile and upgrade of the related components. This technology should be developed together with the missile system and advanced sustainedly. It is a converging technology that combines various fields of expertise and long-term experiences and databases.

  • In this study, a performance simulation program for a turbojet engine using SIMULINK, which can provide the GUI(Graphic User Interface) environment, was newly proposed. Performance analysis results using the SIMULINK performance program were compared with them using the FORTRAN performance program that was previously developed. According to comparison result, it was noted that performance analysis results between two programs have little bit big difference. This difference seems to be due to different component matching algorithm at each program, it will be improved later.

터보프롭엔진의 정상상태 탈설계점 성능해석 기법에 관한 연구

  • 소·중형 상업용 항공기나 초등 훈련기용으로 많이 이용되고 있는 터보프롭엔진의 정상상태 성능해석을 위한 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램의 검증을 위하여 지상정지조건에서의 성능 및 비행마하수에 따른 출력 등을 상용 정상상태 해석 프로그램인 TURBOMARCH 해석결과와 비교하였다. 비교결과 각 구성품의 입 ·출구 온도 및 압력, 출력 등에서는 약 3%이하의 오차율을 보였으며, 마하수 변화에 따른 출력 비교에서도 최대오차율이 2.4%로 프로그램의 신뢰성을 확인하였다. 개발된 프로그램을 이용하여 비행마하수 0.2, 80% 동력터빈 회전수에서 가스발생기 회전수를 5% 간격으로 나누어 부분부하 성능해석을 수행하였으며, 동력터빈 회전수에 따른 성능해석도 수행하였다.

  • 화재시 발생하는 연기 및 유독가스를 효과적으로 제어하기 위한 제연설비는 일정한 성능이 요구되며 각 장치에 대한 성능시험방법과 평가기준이 마련되어 있어야 하지만 아직 국내기준은 서류에 의한 예비검사나 부위검사 등으로 되어 있어 성능위주의 평가기준이 미비한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 제연설비 주요 구성품 중 제연댐퍼에 대해 국내외 기준을 비교분석하고 정량적인 성능기준을 제시하여 이에 따른 평가와 적합성을 분석하고자 하였다.

Effects of the Method of FTSs on the Performance of HPAs (FTS 방식이 전력증폭기의 성능에 미치는 영향)

  • It is necessary to develop the next generation FTS which is suitable for our environment and effectively operates many launch vehicles. Standard tone, Secure tone, MHA, EFTS and DSSS are studied for the next generation FTS. FTS requires a high quality of performance and reliability because of their specific mission. And few FTSs are needed but the price is very expensive. Therefore we must investigate a part of the FTS whether the part can be reused for a part of the next FTS. In this paper, we use CCDF of the transmitted signal from FTS as the method to study a possibility of reusing HPA used in the present system. The simulation results show that PEP of Standard tone is 0.21dB and Secure tone and MHA has the same PEP. CPFSK's PEP is 1.81dB and PEP of DSSS using BPSK modulation is 2.6dB.

  • In this study, the key parameters affecting the deterioration of each track type were derived based on field inspections and laboratory tests. The existing track deterioration model was limited to the ballasted tracks, and the deterioration evaluation of concrete tracks was insufficient. In this study, the laboratory test was performed to evaluate the performance and condition of track components to derive the deterioration factors reflecting the characteristics of various track structures. In addition, through analysis of track maintenance history data, parameters affecting track deterioration and maintenance were derived. The key parameters for presenting a track deterioration model based on the track performance of ballasted and concrete tracks through field inspection, track maintenance history data analysis, and performance test of track components using on-site specimens were identified as track support stiffness, Ballast gravel, track settlement and Resilience pad were presented.
