  • 최근 각광받고 있는 LED의 긴 수명시간에 비해서 전원 장치의 짧은 수명시간 문제가 크게 대두되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 전원 장치의 수명시간을 좌우하는 전해 커패시터를 대체하여 용량이 매우 작은 필름 커패시터를 사용함으로써 전원 장치의 수명시간을 연장하고 원가를 절감 하고자 한다. 또한 PFC기능을 추가하여 역률을 향상 시키고자 한다. 고압 LED구동을 위한 20W급 비절연형 부스트 컨버터와 벅부스트 컨버터 역률 보상 전원 장치를 설계 및 제작하고 실험을 통해서 제안된 토폴로지의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • 모터 가변속 구동장치나 계통연계 전력변환 장치, 무정전 전원장치(UPS)등 스위칭 주파수가 수 ~ 20kHz 정도의 중용량 장치에 IGBT가 주로 사용된다. 최근에는 소용량 가전제품부터 대용량의 전철의 모터 구동장치 등 다양한 전기기기에 IGBT가 사용되고 있다. IGBT의 성능은 게이트 드라이브 회로에 의해 결정되며, 스위칭 특성, 파형 컨트롤과도 밀접한 관련이 있다. 본 논문에서는 IGBT의 안정적인 스위칭 동작에 영향을 끼치는 요인과 Turn-on 시퀀스를 분석하였고 IGBT의 물리적 특성을 고려하여 불안정한 게이트-에미터 전압을 안정화시킬 수 있는 게이트 드라이버의 설계 요소에 대하여 고찰하였다.

  • 본 논문은 장펄스 폭을 가지는 펄스 전원 장치에 대해서 기술한다. 펄스 전원 장치는 크게 충전부와 펄스부로 나누어 진다. 충전부의 경우 고효율, 고신뢰성을 위한 공진형 컨버터와 높은 전압이득을 위한 배전압 정류 회로로 구성 되어 있으며, 펄스부의 경우 펄스의 제어가 용이하고 고밀도 구현이 가능한 수정형 막스 방식의 제네레이터를 채택하고 있다. 또한 개발된 펄스 전원 장치는 직렬 스태킹 되어 있는 반도체 스위치의 효과적인 동기화 및 안정적인 구동과 장펄스를 만들어 내기 적합한 게이트 구동회로를 사용하고 있다. 다양한 실험 결과를 통하여 장펄스 전원장치 설계의 타당성과 우수성을 검증한다.

  • 전자빔은 전자석의 자기장에 의하여 궤도가 편향 또는 집속된다. 이 전자석에 사용되는 전원장치는 사용되는 부품들의 품질과 관련되는 제어 기술의 발전으로 성능이 크게 향상되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 DSP를 이용하여 IGBT를 구동하는데 있어 phase-shifting 기법을 적용한 병렬 운전으로 출력 특성이 크게 개선된 전원장치에 대하여 설명하였다. 이 장치의 기본사양은 ${\pm}\;350\;A$, 2.5 Hz 계단형태의 출력전류를 전자석에 제공하는 것이다. 출력전류 피드백과 입력전압 피드-포워드 제어구조를 적용하여 출력전류의 안정도를 개선하였다. 모의실험과 실제 전자석 구동실험을 통하여 개발된 전원장치가 다양한 용도에 편리하게 적용될 수 있음을 보여준다.

  • In this technical paper, summarization of developmental results for the tilt-rotor SUAV Drive System being developed in the Smart UAV Development Center is carried out in view of design and analysis for the major components. The Drive System driving for the Rotor System of the SUAV is composed of very precise and advanced equipments, and also the applied technologies for development of the system had not ever experienced in the Korea. Therefore the collaboration study with an advanced company (EATI) in the USA performed in order to develop the SUAV Drive System.

Design of Safety and Arming Device of the Fuze using Solenoid for Improving Safety (안전성 증대를 위해 솔레노이드를 적용한 신관 안전장전장치 설계)

  • The safety and arming device(SAD), one of the components of the fuzes, shall provide safety that is consistent with handling, storage, transportation, use, and disposal. In this paper, we describes the design of the SAD which includes the solenoid assembly and the solenoid driving circuit to improve the safety of the fuzes. The solenoid assembly consists of a coil assembly, a restoring spring, and a core. The solenoid assembly is added in the SAD as an additional safety device. In case of the normal circumstances, the core of the solenoid assembly restrains the $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ safety devices of the SAD for those devices not to operate at all, so that the SAD can secure safety for storage, transportation, and use. In contrast, when the battery power is provided to the solenoid driving circuit just before the flight, the core confirms the power level and starts removing the restraint from the $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ safety devices of the SAD, and then the SAD is able to change its mode from safety mode to armed mode. After firing, once the SAD's operations complete, the turned-on arming switch stops providing the power to the solenoid assembly automatically. It can reduce the power consumption at solenoid assembly. Therefore, the proposed solenoid driving circuit for the solenoid assembly not only unlocks the restrained solenoid assembly from the safety devices, but also saves the power consumption during the flight.

Optimization of ejector for swirl flow using CFD (CFD를 이용한 회전 운동을 하는 이젝터의 최적화)

  • This paper investigates the effect of the rotational motion of a driving fluid generated by a rotational motion device at the inlet of a driving nozzle for a gas-liquid ejector, which is the main device used for ozonated ship ballast water treatment. An experimental apparatus was constructed to study the pressure and suction flow rate of each port of the ejector according to the back pressure. Experimental data were acquired for the ejector without rotational motion. Based on the data, a finite element model was then developed. The rotational motion of the driving fluid could improve the suction efficiency of the ejector based on the CFD model. Based on the CFD results, structure optimization was performed for the internal shape of the rotation induction device to increase the suction flow rate of the ejector, which was performed using the kriging technique and a metamodel. The optimized rotation induction device improved the ejector efficiency by about 3% compared to an ejector without rotational motion of the driving fluid.

  • This paper proposes the new type LED driver modularization for illumination LED driver. The proposed LED driver circuit insulates a hot GND of AC input power and a cold GND of LED driver part by using a fly-back converter. In order to control easily the current of the LED, the fly-back converter is operated in the discontinuous mode with excellent dynamic characteristics, and the characteristics of the LED are verified after the closed loop control is performed using a KIA2431. The LED driver module allows the wide AC power input ranges and realizes the burst dimming function which directly regulates a PWM control IC. This paper describes the operation principle of the LED driver module and it is proved the usefulness through the real model with experimentation. Besides, this paper proposes the multi-channel LED driver which the miniaturized and modularized LED driver module are connected by parallel, and verified its propriety by experiments.

  • A fundamental study on the cooling apparatus inshore fishing boat and its operation characteristics in sea water cooling system were performed experimentally. The circumstance is giving the blow against fisherman with incoming-decreasing and the difficulty of crew's supply and demand and management. In addition, the depression of the external situation such as the plan of EEZ(Exclusive Economic Zone) proclaim is forcing them into improving their fishing condition. By this international and domestic surrounding, the development of a cooling apparatus inshore fishing boat is demanded sincerely. We investigated load characteristics as the pilot plant operation characteristics estimation which is based on the development of cooling system and optimum cooling apparatus inshore fishing boat. These results provide useful informations which are applicable to an actual design and show the possibility of application to other fields.

  • This paper presents implementation details of home appliance control system using personal communicator based on LN2440 single board computer, which recognizes hand-gesture of user, controls remote moving device such as mobile home server, robot etc. through delivery of proper control commands. Also, this paper includes details of design and implementation of home gateway and mobile home server. The implemented prototype can be utilized to develop various remote control system including a remote exploration robot, intelligent wheelchair based on general purpose embedded system.
