  • KSLV-I (Korea Space Launch Vehicle-I) upper stage KM (Kick Motor) is a solid propulsion system which consists of igniter, SAD (Safety Arming Device), composite case, and submerged nozzle capable of TVC (Thrust Vector Control) actuation. Each subsystem of KM fulfilled development requirements for achieving a flight mission successfully. We confirmed the successful development of KM from the $3^{rd}$ flight test results of NARO on January 30, 2013. This article deals with the requirements of KM and the results on configuration management, mass variation, thrust axis alignment, and major test results and so on.

  • The brushless DC motor is widely being used in unmanned factories for its easy maintenance and characteristics of controllability. In this paper, we designed a speed control servo system of a sinusoidal type bmshless DC motor which has high efficiency and usefulness in the industrial fields. This servo system is realized by a controller which is required for driving motors and a new auto-tuning PI control algorithm. The DSP(Digita1 Signal Processor) is adopted as a main controller and a sensor signal processor owing to its fast computational capability and suitable architecture. Also, the hardware PWnl(Pulse Width Modulation) current controller is implemented to pursue a speed command exactly. By experimental results, it is verified that the speed response is pursued fast after command value and the steady-state response is well converged for command value variation without overshoots.

  • In this paper, we have developed the intellectual kegel trainer with the biofeedback. The pelvic muscles of female are composed of a slow twitch fiber and a fast twitch fiber. If two twitch fiber be not well done, then the urine be frequently called by nature. In order to recover the function of pelvic muscles, we use the kegel trainer with biofeedback training. Such a trainer make strengthen the weakness pelvic muscles by biofeedback training and get exercise the pelvic muscles in physical suppress of 10 kg. The biofeedback training against the physical suppress can have strengthen the pelvic muscles and can display the operation graph of strengthen movement in monitor.

Study on Grasping Performance of Finger Exoskeleton Actuated by Electroactive Polymers (전기활성 고분자 구동 손가락 외골격 장치의 잡기 성능에 관한 연구)

  • A finger exoskeleton actuated by ionic polymer metal composite (IPMC) actuators has been developed. In order to evaluate performance of cylindrical grasping of finger exoskeletons, they were equipped with a hand dummy, which is composed of four fingers. The finger dummy has three joints that can be actuated by bending the IPMC actuators. A four finger grasping motion was analyzed using cameras, and cylindrical grasping motion was accomplished within two minutes after applying a 4 volt direct voltage to the IPMC actuators. A pull out test was also performed to evaluate the cylindrical grasping force of the finger exoskeletons actuated by the IPMC actuators. Each finger generated about 2 N of holding force when grasping the cylinder which had a diameter of 50 mm.

  • A nano-stage simulation tool is developed for an advanced E-beam lithography system. Even if piezo-actuators are believed to be compatible fer the E-beam lithograpy system it is difficult to predict their characteristics due to their nonlinearities such as hysteresis and creep. In this paper, the nonlinear properties are modeled for a piezo-actuator by considering the voltage range and speed variations. The hysteresis is described as the first order differential equation with 24 sets of parameters and the creep is modeled as a time-dependent logarithmic function with 2 sets of a parameter. A two-axis nano stage with piezo-actuators are investigated for realizing nano scale motions. The characteristics of flexure guide mechanisms are analyzed based on the finite element method using the ANSYS software. The simulation tool for the nano stage is constructed by using the RecurDyn software. The dynamic response of the nano stage is obtained in simulations and compared with the experimental data.

  • In this paper, we propose a high voltage driver IC(HVIC) for LCD and PDP TV power supply. The proposed circuit is included novel a shoot-through protection and a pulse generation circuit for the high voltage driver IC. The proposed circuit has lower variation of dead time and pulse-width about a variation of a process and a supply voltage than a conventional circuit. Especially, the proposed circuit has more excellent pulse-width matching of set and reset signals than the conventional circuit. Also the proposed pulse generation circuit prevent from fault operations using a logic gate. Dead time and pulse-width of the proposed circuit are typical 250 ns, and its variation is maximum 170 ns(68 %) about a variation of a process and a supply voltage. The proposed circuit is designed using $1\;{\mu}m$ 650 V BCD process parameter, and a simulation is carried out using Spectre.

  • This research investigates vehicle structure acceleration and vehicle deformation with RCAR crash test. To investigate vehicle damage characteristics in an individual case, it is possible to RCAR low speed crash test. In this study, two tests were conducted to evaluate difference between RCAR new condition and RCAR old condition. A two large vehicles were subjected to a frontal crash test at a speed of 15km/h with an offset of 40% $10^{\circ}$ angle barrier and flat barrier. The results of the 15km/h with an offset of 40% $10^{\circ}$ angle barrier revealed high acceleration value on the vehicle structure and high repair cost compared to the RCAR 15km/h with an offset of 40% flat barrier. So in order to improve damage characteristics in low speed crash of vehicle structure and body component of the monocoque type passenger vehicles, the end of front side member and front back beam should be designed with optimum level and to supply the end of front side member as a partial condition approx 300mm.

  • 본 논문에서는 16채널 혹은 8채널의 센서를 통해 들어오는 저주파대역의 아날로그 신호를 수집하고. 수집된 데이터를 실시간으로 처리하기 위한 고속의 신호처리 기능이 결합된 통합 DSP (Digital Signal Processor)시스템을 구현하였다. 구현된 시스템은 휴대가 용이하도록 소형으로 설계되어 있으며 노트북 등의 이동형 장비에 활용되도록 USB 인터페이스를 채택하였으며, 장치간의 네트워크 구성이 가능하도록 Ethernet 인터페이스를 추가하였다 Digital Signal Processor는 Texas Instrument 사의 TMS320C6701 부동소수점 연산방식의 고성능 DSP를 사용하여 16채널의 실시간 신호 분석이 가능하게 하였으며, ICP 센서 구동용 전류 공급부를 내장하여 센서 선택의 폭을 넓히었고, programmable gain amplifier인 PGA202증폭기를 사용하여 입력신호가 작을 경우 최대 1000배, 즉 60dB까지 입력신호를 증폭하여 수집 및 분석할 수 있다. 200kSPS의 샘플링 레이트와 16bit resolution을 가지는 AD976 A/D converter를 사용하여 채널당 0~6kHz의 신호대역폭을 가지며,differential 입력시 8 채널,single ended 입력시 16 채널의 입력 신호의 수집 및 분석이 가능하다. Windows 응용프로그램에서는 사용자가 원하는 입력신호 및 스펙트럼 실시간 분석, 입력신호 기록 및 저장, RPM 측정 및 분석, 외부 트리거 및 레벨 트리거를 이용한 입력신호 제어와 수집된 데이터를 바탕으로 원하는 제어가 가능한 응용프로그램 제작에 활용될 라이브러리가 포함된다.

A study on the transient characteristics during speed up of inverter heat pump (회전수 상승폭 변화에 따른 인버터열펌프의 비정상 운전특성)

  • The transient characteristics of a 4.0㎾ inverter driven heat pump was investigated by theoretical and experimental studies. The heat pump used in this study consists of a high side scroll compressor and $\Phi$7 compact heat exchangers with two capillary tubes. A series of tests was peformed to examine the transient characteristics of heat pump in heating and cooling mode when the operating speed was varied from 30Hz to 102Hz. One of the major issues that has not been addressed so far is transient characteristics during speed modulation. A cycle simulation model has been developed to predict the cycle performance under frequency rise-up conditions, and the results of theoretical study were compared with the results of experimental study. The theoretical model was driven from mass conservation and energy conservation equations to predict the operation points of refrigerant cycle and the performances at various operating speeds. For transient conditions, the simulated results are in good agreement with the experimental results within 10%. The transient cycle migration of the liquid state refrigerant causes a significant dynamic change in system. Thus, the migration of refrigerant is the most important factor whenever An experimental analysis is performed or A simulation model is developed.

  • A interference of outside electric source and electric fast transient(EFT) are origins of destroy and malfunction in the precise electrical and electronic equipments. It makes a serious obstacle as the form of conducted noise. Therefore, it is strongly needed to protect precision electrical and electronic equipments from the interference and EFT. In this research, a EMC filter composed of feed-through capacitors and ferrite beads of high permeability is designed and it's properties are investigated for PDP. The filter produced in this research have wide band frequency characteristics and more than 40 dB reflection loss in the frequence of 10 MHz∼1.5 GHz which satisfy the standard of CISPR Pub. 22 and the level 4 of IEC 61000-4-4.
