Automatic Tuning of Notch Filter to Suppress Oscillations in a PMLSM Drive (선형 영구자석 동기전동기 구동장치의 진동억제를 위한 노치필터 자동조정)

  • This paper deals with an automatic tuning method of the notch filter to suppress oscillations in a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor(PMLSM) drive. First, it saves automatically the reference torque-component current when oscillations are detected. Then the oscillation frequency of the saved data is calculated by using the fast Fourier transform(FFT) algorithm. And also the Hanning function is used to reduce the leakage components due to the aperiodic measurement data. Finally, the proposed method tunes the notch filter to suppress oscillations. Experimental results on the test rig show the validity of the proposed method.

  • 전동기의 동손 및 철손을 포함한 손실이 최소가 되는 운전 점을 추적함으로써, 전동기의 제정수 변동에 무관하게 항상 최대 효율점에서 영구자석 동기전동기를 운전할 수 있는 새로운 최대 효율 제어 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 최대 효율점 추적 제어 알고리즘은 전류의 위상각 변동에 따른 가변속 구동장치의 입력 전력 변화로부터 부하 변동에 의한 영향을 제거함으로써 정상 상태에서 부하변동에 무관하게 최대 효율점으로 수렴이 가능하고, 그 구성이 단순하기 때문에 산업계에 널리 적용될 수 있다. 실험을 통해 제안된 알고리즘의 효용성을 입증한다.

  • This paper presents a simple approach for improving the performance of back-electromotive force (back-EMF)-estimation-based sensorless drives for surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motors (SPMSM). Similar to conventional approaches, a hypothetical d-q synchronous reference frame model of SPMSM is employed in the proposed approach to estimate the back-EMFs. This approach also employs a dual phase locked loop structure to compensate for the effect of the dead time and parameter uncertainty of the inverter on the estimated back-EMFs. The proposed algorithm is validated by conducting experiments.

  • This paper deals with the design, implementation, and test of a CRCS for nuclear power plants. Although CRCS is still classified into non-safety class, much attention on its reliability issue has been given so far because of its importance for the stable operation of the reactor in the plant. In terms of technical aspects, our system adopts a full-duplex configuration to enhance reliability in contrast to the existing systems that are all simplex.

  • This paper proposes the boost input type resonant power supply for driving the magnetron device of the high-capacity microwave oven. Circuit topology of the proposed power supply is the boost input type resonant converter which uses the resonance between transformer leakage inductance and resonance capacitance. Proposed power supply obtains high power factor more than 98% through continuous current mode pulse width modulation. To verify the validity of the proposed power supply, operation principle in the steady state is analyzed and experimental results are presented.

When we are trying to retrofit control rod control system from analog system to digital one, new communication network and controller is required to be constructed. In this paper, we are going to introduce experience in developing economic and reliable control rod control system construction. this proposed system consists of redundant POS, communication network, and controller to provide enhance reliability and safety.

  • An advanced angular position detector (APD) for the SMART CEDM (control element drive mechanism) was designed. The APD is required to be small size with high resolution for angular displacement of rotary step motor. Unfortunately the proximity sensors can not be adopted to SMART CEDM because the motor shaft is located in the pressure boundary cylinder filled with the primary coolant under high temperature and pressure. This paper describes the electromagnetic finite element analysis for the design of advanced angular position detector for the SMART CEDM. The electromagnetic properties obtained will be used as Input for the optimization analysis of the APD.

  • The sustaining driver for color ac plasma display panel should provide alternating high voltage pulses and recover the energy discharged from the intrinsic capacitance between the scanning and sustaining electrodes inside the panel. In this paper, a novel efficient energy recovery circuit employing boost-up function is proposed to achieve a faster rise-time and in order to obtain a stable sustain voltage. The principle of operation, features, and simulated results are illustrated and verified on an equivalent capacitance, which is equals In that of 40-inch-panel, 200 (kHz).

  • In this paper, 2-axis driving mechanism, which uses voice coil motor (VCM), is proposed to measure the friction force. The proposed VCM actuator consists of two parts; structural part and magnetic circuit part. Structural part is simplified to perform the friction experiments. Magnetic circuit part is composed of two parts. The experiments are accomplished by changing the mass of moving part. Through the experiments, optimal dimension is selected. Finally, the experimental results are verified and the optimal case is applied to the 2-axis driving mechanism, optical image stabilization actuator.
