Most university libraries in Korea have expanded the subscription of high-quality electronic resources in their amount and category, which are directly available to academic and research users via the web. Despite more than a decade's history, however, a lack of statistics made it difficult to get the overall pictures of electronic resources subscription status in Korea. The purpose of this study is to provide the analysis on nationwide statistics survey of how much money are spent on electronic resources, what kinds of subject resources are mainly subscribed, and how they are used and required by academic users, etc. Some comparisons are made with several factors that have effect on collection development of university libraries. This study will contribute to the future selection and subscription of electronic resources.

This study is to analyze a cost-benefit and a cost-effectiveness on the basis of number full-text downloaded from IDEAL in the electronic journals consortium of Y University Library during 2000. The result of this study shows that Y University Library used more the combined print and electronic journals than only electronic journals, and in the case of the analysis on the cost-benefit, there was no benefit, but the cost-effectiveness was very high. Based upon the result of this study, it suggests that academic libraries request a trial from the information agency and carry out user instruction analysis of varied use statistics, user satisfaction survey so as to promote use of electronic journals.

대한설비건설협회(회장 박종학)는 월간「설비건설」지령 200호를 맞아 월간「설비건설」의 구독현황을 알아보기 위해 전국 대의원 회원사를 대상으로 2007년 1월 23일부터 2월 5일까지 14일간“월간「설비건설」구독 실태 조사”를 실시했다. 이번 설문조사는 월간「설비건설」이 명실상부한 국내 유일의 설비업계 전문지로서의 위상을 높이기 위해 회원사의 의견을 취합하여 편집발전을 위한 자료로 활용코자 실시한 것이다.

The journal is a important resource of the scholarly communication and it is a kind of the R&D indicator. But the journal subscription cost is rising annually so it has the limits to the journal subscription fee of libraries. This paper analyses the usage of Document Delivery Service(DDS) according to the journal subscription overlapping with NDSL members. In order to select journals for analysis, this paper selects journals of the subscription overlapping top 20% and low 20% and finds out the relationship between the overlapping subscription and usages of DDS.

The purpose of this research lies in exploring both problems in and solutions for developing digital information resource such as e-journal and Web databases, with the case of Korean national university libraries. In details, identified at the first hand is current situations and major changes of digital information resource that Korean university libraries have developed for the recent 10 years(2003~2012). Also investigated is the salient features in the process of selecting and acquiring digital information resource, with emphasis on the work behavioral aspects. In addition this study analyzes the negative impacts which the present digital-centered resource development policy might have on the image of university libraries and the status of academic librarianship in Korea. The final suggestions include both strategies at the national level and practical methods at the library level which might be helpful to escape from the dilemma related to developing digital information resource.

Pricing for e-journals has become more complex than before-certainly much more complex than print pricing has ever been. E-journals charge either a fiat fee based on print, user, library size, usage, and combination. A survey of publisher's pricing structure found that print based model is popular followed by user based model. The current pricing situation is far from equitable and can be improved if publishers can be coerced to change their pricing practices. This study focus on a number of possible pricing models that may supplement and/or possibly replace the current print based model. With the possibility that its pricing will eventually be based strictly according to usage, may lead to the most equitable pricing model as well as the most efficient use of society's resources. Libraries can alleviate the pricing problem by encouraging library organizations and university consortia to exploit their potential monopoly power into a bilateral monopoly situation.

This paper strives to shed a light on open access journals as academic resources for libraries and repositories. It also seeks the measure for the evaluation of information resources. It first attempts to draw outcomes and suggestions on the basis of the issues and implications identified through analysis into aspects of management, service, and infrastructure of repositories. For this task, research methods such as interviews and on/offline literature review were employed. Specific projects were analyzed via literature and website review, although not detailed in nature. Next, the paper discusses issue such as the current quality measures of OAJ. For this, a thorough comparison on the background, outlines and characteristics of the projects and an analysis of the specifics of each project were conducted as well.

This study investigated the antecedents of web-drama success as the interests on web-drama is increasing. We focused on the factors which help web-drama success because current studies on web-drama has focused on the description of market. We examined the effect of fandom on the success of web-drama using the data of constv site which provided with the rank (1-100) of web-drama between February 1st and March 1st in 2016. We found that the fandom had a positive effect on the success of web drama. In addition, we also found that the number of people registered in web-drama channel mediated the relationship between the fandom and the success of web-drama. This study contributed to the current literature by revealing the factors which enable the success of web-drama.
