This study was conducted to examine the oral health, dental treatment and insurance awareness of the community during the COVID-19 period from September 1 to October 29, 2021 for patients who visited a local dental clinic in Gangwon-do. For analysis, SPSS Statistics 24.0 program was used. As a result of the analysis, it was found that oral health status, interest in oral health, and awareness of health insurance expansion affect dental treatment during the COVID-19 period. In addition, those who did not receive oral health education, those with a high school diploma or lower, and those with poor oral health showed positive results for dental treatment during the COVID-19. In conclusion, it is necessary to expand publicity on oral health education, and to list the cost of infection control in health insurance and separate compensation materials. In future research, I think that it is necessary to conduct research through a variety of subjects and study the expansion of insurance in detail.
This study was conducted to analyze the impact factors of serious dental disease of elderly and to propose the need to treatments of negative factors on oral health-related quality of life. This study used the data of the 6th 3nd-year(2015) National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. The dependent variables of this study were reviewed for serious dental diseases, and the independent variables were divided into demographic characteristics, health status and behavior, oral health status, and behavior. The results of study were as follow. Factors influencing dental caries was household income(p<.01), health checkups(p<.05), experience of toothache for the recent 1 year(p<.05), and whether to use oral hygiene devices(p<.05). Factors influencing periodontal disease was age(p<.05), occupation(p<.05), and whether to Comorbidity(p<.05). Based on these results, a political alternative plan will need to be arranged for promoting oral health in the aged as a relevant research is vitalized.
Objectives: The purposes of this study were to comprehend the subjective dental health status and the level of dental health knowledge in some middle school students and to analyze the correlation with dental health behaviors. Methods: A survey was conducted in some middle school students and the final 637 survey data were analysed. As the statistical analysis methods, the subjective dental health status, dental health knowledge and dental health behaviors according to the general characteristics were analyzed by independent t-test, one way ANOVA and Scheffe. The correlations among the subjective dental health status, dental health knowledge and dental health behavior were found by Pearson's correlation and multiple regression analysis. Results: Through correlation analysis of the subjective dental health status, dental health knowledge and dental health behavior, all showed a significant correlation. As a result of the factor analysis affecting dental behaviors, subjective dental health status was the highest (${\beta}=0.304$, p<0.001). Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that the improvement of subjective dental health status and dental health knowledge related to dental behaviors health in the middle school students should be considered. In addition, dental health education should focus on improving subjective dental health status through motivation rather than knowledge transfer training. Moreover, development programs appropriate for the middle school students whose behavioral changes are hard to obtain are needed.
The purpose of this study is to create a hypothetical model that explains and predicts oral health promotion behavior of adolescents by reviewing preceding literature on Pender's Health Promotion Model, and to verify the model's validity and proposed hypothesis through PLS (partial least square) structural equation model analysis. This study was cross-sectional survey consisted of self-administration questionnaires. The subjects in this study were a total of 293 alternative high school students in Jeollabuk-do Province. They were selected by convenience sampling. In alternative high school students, perceived benefit, locus of control, self-efficacy, and self-esteem had an effect on their oral health promoting behavior. As a result of the indirect effects in black is subjectively good subjective oral health, oral health related behaviors well past the more oral health promotion behavior showed a high. The prediction model of oral health promotion for adolescences, which was made using Pender's Health Promotion Model, was considered to be useful in explaining and predicting alternative high school students oral health promotion behavior.
The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting perceived oral health status according to socioeconomic status and community periodontal index(CPI) and decayed, missing, and filled teeth(DMFT) using the 6th Korean national health and nutritional examination survey(KNHANES VI) and provide a basic data for plan of policy. The higher the age, the lower the household income and education level, the worse the subjective oral health had better oral health and there was a tendency that the respondents who had no oral exam within 1 year and experienced CPI or DMFT estimated their own health as worse. It is needed to make policy development to resolve the inequality of oral health.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the oral health impact profile (OHIP) in the industrial accident injury patients, and the effect of subjective perception and attitude of oral health on the oral health-related quality of life in industrial injury patients. Methods : A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 496 industrial accident injury patients from October 29 to November 30, 2013. Data were analyzed using SPSS ver 20.0 program for chi-square test, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results : The OHIP-14 was higher oral health-related quality of life in young people, women, highly educated persons, and those having high income and frequent scaling service. The subjective perception and attitude of oral health was closely correlated to the OHIP-14. The factors influencing on the oral health-related quality of life were the subjective perception and attitude toward oral health. Conclusions : It is necessary to emphasize the oral health promotion program for industrial injury patients. The government should pay more attention to the policy for the improvement of the oral health of industrial accident injury patients in the future.
Objectives: The purpose of the study is to identify the relationship between happiness, subjective oral health condition and oral health behavior in Korean elderly people. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 487 elderly people using facilities for the senior citizens in Gyeonggi-do from January 3 to November 28, 2014 by convenience sampling method. The questionnaire consisted of demographic characteristics of the subjects, subjective oral health status, oral health behavior, and happiness. Cronbach'a alpha in the happiness was 0.734 in the study. Results: Happiness was closely correlated with abscence of subjective periodontal diseases, dental fillings, and denture. The number of toothbrushing and dental health education had also influenced on happiness. Conclusions: In order to improve the quality of dental health in the elderly, it is necessary to develop a multilateral systematic dental health promotion program by Ministry of Health and Welfare.

Methods : Subjects were 151 psychiatric patients who filled out the structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed for independent t-test, one-way ANOVA and hierarchical multiple regression by using SPSS Win Program 18.0 version. Results : Higher DMFT index was shown in the older age(p<0.001) and low perceived oral health group(p<0.001). Higher DMFT index included no tooth brushing after breakfast(p=0.045), wrong tooth brushing method(p<0.001). Chewing discomfort(p=0.027) and denture(p=0.027) were closely related to higher DMFT index. Bread(p=0.033) and snack(p<0.001) increased DMFT index. Factors affecting oral health status were age, denture, snack and bread. The explanation power of the final model was 29.4%. Conclusions : Dietary control for the psychiatric patients is very important to prevent dental caries. Tooth brushing and use of oral hygiene devices can improve good oral health care. Furthermore, this result can improve the oral health care for the disabled people.
