A Study of the TA Program and its Effects on the Development of Communication Skills for Dental Hygienist (치과위생사를 위한 TA (Transactional Analysis) 프로그램 개발)

  • This study was conducted to study the effects of the TA Theory and the TA Program, an educational testing tool developed to improve functional communication skills for dental hygienists. The results taken from the experiment using the TA program has been verified by Examination Tool for Personnel Communication developed by Chung(2001). 44 in two experimental groups and 16 in control group took part in TA Program training sessions. The experimental Group I received TA technique training session for 12 hours per day in a period of three days and Group II for 6 hours per day in a period of two days. From this experiment, the following conclusion was obtained. The results are as follows: 1) As it can be seen from the results of the examination taken prior to the experiment, the subjects of the control group and experimental groups were homogenous in all categories including self-disclosure, awareness, evaluation and acceptance of feedback, self-expression, coping with feelings, clearness, avoidance, dominance, handling of differences, and perceived acceptance. 2) After the training of TA Program was completed on Group I and II, the examination results are as follows: Control Group (1.5158), Group I (1.8260) / Control Group (1.4684), Group II (1.9985). The results of Group I and II (1.7970 and 1.9985 respectively) therefore showed a meaningful difference. 3) From the results of the experiment it is shown that dental hygienists' communication skills improved after receiving the TA Program training. Therefore TA Program may be used as an effective tool for such purpose. 4) As it can be observed from the data, Group I and II showed difference in the degree of improvements. Therefore, there needs to be a further investigation on the effects of the difference in training period. 5) This program is not only limited to the education of dental hygienists but may be widely applied to various forms of education and teaching methods.

The Relationship between Major Satisfaction, Self-Esteem, Work Values of Nursing Students at one University (일개 대학 간호대학생의 전공만족도, 자기존중감, 직업가치관의 관계)

  • This study is a descriptive research study to confirm the degree and correlation of major satisfaction, self-esteem, and work values of nursing students, and was attempted to provide basic data for nursing students' nursing education. The subjects of this study were 224 nursing students from one university in the c region. Data analysis was analyzed using SPSS 22.0 program with frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, t-test and ANOVA, and Pearson's Correlation Coefficients. As a result of this study, there was a statistically significant difference in major satisfaction at the time of major decision(F=4.127, P=.004), self-esteem at the motivation for admission(F=7.384, P<.001), and work value at the motivation for admission(F=5.023, P<.001) and the presence or absence of nurses in the family(F=3.501, P<.001). There was a significant correlation between major satisfaction, self-esteem, and work value of nursing college students. Through the results of this study, it is suggested that it is necessary to develop an education and training program that can improve the major satisfaction, self-esteem, and job value of nursing college students.

Development of Internet Information Push-Delivery System Design of Smoking Cessation for Health Promotion (지역주민의 건강증진을 위한 인터넷 금연 강화 프로그램 개발)

  • Objectives: The development of internet programs for smoking cessation was motivated to quit smoking in the large group of smokers. This personalized program consisted of tailored message to consider the smokers characteristics, and contain the informations on the outcomes of smoking cessation and the skills to be used in the quit attempts. The purpose of this study was to develop the internet management program and information push-delivery system for smoking cessation to encourage the personal intention to quit smoking. Methods: We conducted in 3 steps as developing push service to encourage intention of smoking cessation, analyzing problems of smoking cessation program through the pilot test and suggesting improvements by implication stages. Results: This program is delivered for 30 days. if the participants do not fail to quit smoking. The contents consisted of 13 stages which were divided on starting period. practical period, maintenance period and success period. And push service afforded the tailored message to participants using their e-mail. According to the evaluation of pilot test, the problems of internet information push-delivery service for smoking cessation were the over-tasks per visiting time, recording style of participants, difficulty of terms and sentences, lack of visual effects, absence of follow-up module and unsuitable link with main homepage. Improvements were divided on 3 stages by implication period. The first stage included the immediate improvements as improving link with homepage, modifying menu of smoking information and upload file of notice part. The second stage included the short term improvements as alleviating condition of withdrawal, coordinating start stage of retrial, modifying errors of information push-delivery service and addition of educational materials. The third stage included the long term improvements as development of follow-up module, cost-effectiveness evaluation, reducing contents quantity, introduction of checking style, compensation of graphics effect and review for SMS utilization. Conclusions: This program contribute to improving smoking cessation rate. Therefore this program should be tested in a community to evaluate the effectiveness. To promote the effectiveness, this program should be developed the contents and the strategies for various targets, and established the follow-up system for ex-smokers.

  • Today, shipping companies have shown the positive volition to the finding of chanced market through the development of new route with the new recognition and enhancement of competitiveness on the quality management in order to cope with the sharply-changing environment of shipping industry. Accordingly, this study is an empirical study which attempts the general and situational approach in order to clarify what TQM source, Activities and performance affect the enterprises and how it is different upon the step of quality management activities in the object of the incidental business related to the oceangoing and costal transportation, and marine and the groups related to the marines, subdividing the area of offering the shipping service.

Effects of smartphone app-based oral muscle strength training on functional improvement in the elderly (노인 대상 스마트폰 앱 콘텐츠를 이용한 구강 근력 강화 훈련의 기능 개선 효과)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to develop educational content for a smartphone app on oral muscle training and examine its effects on the elderly population. Methods: A total of twelve training sessions were delivered through the smartphone app over a six-week period, from late August to early October 2023. Each session lasted approximately 60 minutes. Participants were followed up after the program. Results: The experimental group showed significant improvements in oral health before and after using the smartphone app. These improvements included decreased dental plaque (p<0.05) by 0.69 units, decreased gingivitis (p<0.001) by 0.99 units, decreased tongue plaque (p<0.01) by 1.11 units, increased salivary secretion rate (p<0.001) by 0.73 units, increased hard palate strength (p<0.001) by 5.25 units, and increased soft palate strength (p<0.01) by 6.82 units. Compared to the control group, the experimental group showed significant improvements in dental plaque (p<0.001), gingivitis (p<0.001), and tongue coating (p<0.01). Conclusions: This study found that oral muscle strengthening training using the smartphone app effectively improved oral health in the elderly. The developed app content has the potential to be a valuable tool for promoting oral health in this population within their daily routines. However, further efforts are needed to ensure clear communication and effective utilization of the training program through user training or educational materials.

  • The heart service of a receptionist who receives customers in the front line of a business has a great effect on the management of Company. Considering of this, this study offers a view that high job satisfaction of an employee who works eating-out businesses raises the quality of service and has a great influence upon satisfaction of customers. To support this view, the only original study were made. and for the management of human resources in the eating-industry, satisfaction factors, that have a great effect upon the characteristics of job satisfaction by vital statistics factors, are human relations, advancement, working surrounding. And we should recognize that among these, especially, human relations have d considerable effect on service offering degree and they are important variables for customers' satisfaction. In conclusion, service offers have a need to know how service products differed to customers are selected and appraised. Until now our recognition has been confined mainly to products themselves, but when service can exert its value much more. accordingly, under the recognition that job contentment has an effect on service offering and works as important variables for customers' satisfaction, employers should have incessant on job education of employees.

A Study on the Development of Training Programme for VTS Operators in Korea (우리나라 VTS 운영요원의 교육훈련 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the training programme for VTS operators in Korea. The methodology used are literature and questionnaire survey. The literature, proceedings of international symposia and letters from Canada, USA, Japan and other countries were properly used and analyzed in order to compare their contents. Through the results of this study, I proposed the basic training programme for VTS operators in Korea as followings. First, the number and level of Korean VTS should be properly decided. Second, the training organization and staff should be built and appointed. Third, the VTS trainee should selected, and the training level & period should be established according to their qualification and experience. Fourth, the training should be acted by the VTS training curriculum. Fifth, The VTS operator certificate should be issued through proper test. This paper concluded as followings through the analysis of the questionnaire regarding to VTS training programme in Korea. First, the proposed curriculum were properly constructed and the independence among them was existed through the reliability and correlation analysis. Second, the difference of the curriculum importance among the questionnaire group was nearly not found through the Analysis of Variance(ANOVA). Third, the required days per each curriculum was limited to maximum 5days.

  • 조종사가 수행하는 조종 업무는 여러 정보를 동시에 지각하여 처리하여 야 하는 복잡한 작업으로 구성되어 있어, 조종사에게는 고도의 인간성능이 요구되고 있다. 또한 조종기술을 습득하기 위해서는 많은 훈련시간과 비용 이 소요되며, 조종사의 실수는 치명적인 사고를 초래한다. 따라서 조기에 비행 부적격자를 판별하고, 미흡한 조종 적성을 함양시킬 수 있는 교육 . 훈련 프로그램을 조종 후보생에게 적용시키는 분석적 조종적성 진단 체계 개발은 조 종사의 도태율 감소, 효율적인 비행훈련, 비행 안전사고 감소 등의 측면에서 절실하게 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 조종 업무 수행시 요구되는 여러 인간 기능의 중요도 차이를 조종 적성 평가 체제에 적용하기 위해서, 각 적성 검사 항목들의 상대적 중요도를 분석하고 이의 타당성을 평가하였다. 적성검사 항목의 상대적 중요도 분석은 조종적성검사 계층구조의 각 수준별 쌍체 비교 평가와 AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) 분석에 의한 상대적 중요도 산출 및 평가, 그리고 일관성 지수(Consistency Index)에 의한 분석 결과의 조정을 통해 이루어 졌다. 적성검사 항목의 쌍체 비교 평가는 심리기능검사, 비행자질 검사 등 총 29개 적성검사 항목에 대해 검사를 받았고 또한 초등비행 훈련과정을 수료한 조종 학생들에 의해 이루어 졌다. 상대적 중요도를 분석한 결과 심리기능 검사(W=0.30)가 다른 검사에 비하여 조종적성 평가에 중요한 검사로 나타났으며, 세부 항목으로는 주의 분배력(W=0.13), 추적능력(0.06) 등이 상대적으로 중요한 검사 항목으로 나타났다. 또한 상대적 중요도 결과를 적용한 적성검사 성적이 적용하지 않은 적성검사 성적에 비해 비행성적에 대한 예측 능력이 좋은 것으로 평가되었다.al age)가 있다는 것을 의미하는 것이다. 한편, 생산현장에서는 자동화, 기계화가 진보되어 육체적인 노동이 경감된 결과, 중고령자라도 할 수 있는 작업이 많아지고 있다. 또, VDT (Visual Dislay Terminal) 작업과 같은 정보처리 작업의 수요가 증가하여 그 인재의 부족이 지적되고 있다. 따라서 중고령자의 기능을 조사하여 어떠한 작업에 적합한가를 판단하는 것이 중요한 과제로 되었다. 그러나 노동에는 많은 기능이 관여 하고, 그 내용에 따라서 요구되는 기능이 서로 다르기 때문에 노동적응능력의 기본적인 기능으로 보여지는 것에 좁혀서 작업능력의 연령증가 변화에 대하여다원적 평가를 하는 것이 실제적이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 인간이 가지고 있는 다수의 기능중에서 수지교 치성과 연령증가와의 관계를 조사한다. 만약 연령증가 만으로 수지교치성을 평가 할 수 없는 경우에는 어떠한 요인이 수지기민성의 변화에 영향을 미치는가를 검토한다.t list)에서 자동적으로 사건들의 순서가 결정되도록 확장하였으며, 설비 제어방식에 있어서도 FIFO, LIFO, 우선 순위 방식등을 선택할 수 있도록 확장하였다.   • In the maritime universities, cadets of deck part should practice on board training using training ships of university or merchant vessels of company for 1 year according to STCW Convention. For training period, trainees are educated many education items as to positioning ability, chart work ability, vessel operation ability and cargo operation ability etc. Among many abilities, vessel avoiding ability which is demanded as a basic ability for deck officer can't be gained easily, because avoiding maneuver of ship controlled by cadets is not allowable regally and encounter situations occur randomly. This paper investigated CPA to the various encounter types with other vessels during the ocean going navigation of T.S Hannara. We analysis danger degree per each encounter type, and proposed a basic material of efficient training education about proper look-out and avoiding maneuver.

119 Emergency Medical Technicians' Infection Control Education Status, Stress, and Needs related to Emerging Infectious Diseases

  • This study investigated to provide basic data for infection control education on new infectious diseases by confirming the level of knowledge, training status, stress, and need for training on new infectious diseases for 119 emergency medical technicians (EMT). This data collection period was a total of 39 days from August 10 to September 18, 2022, and a total of 105 copies were collected. The analysis of this study used the SPSS 25.0 program. As a result of the study, among the 119 paramedics, the gender of the EMT was 54 men (51.4%) and 51 women (48.6%), with more men than women, with 47 people in their 20s (44.8%) and those in their 30s or older. There were 58 people (55.2%), most of whom were in their 30s or older. The highest total work experience was 3 to 5 years (37 people (35.2%)). In the pandemic situation, an attempt was made to check the education status of 119 paramedics on COVID-19 and the need for education on new infectious diseases. As a result of the study, the status of education on COVID-19 was insufficient. The demand for education on new infectious diseases was found to be high. Among 119 emergency responders who are frequently exposed to new infectious diseases, theoretical and practical training in personal protective equipment, stress, including theoretical training, is needed. A theoretical and practical education program on new infectious diseases and personal protective equipment should be developed as a subject for college students before becoming EMT.
