A preliminary study for the development of educational IPTV contents (IPTV 교육용 콘텐츠 개발을 위한 탐색적 연구)

  • As a convergence media, IPTV is expected to provide better learning experience with customized and individualized contents. Yet, little has been known in the are of contents development. Hence, the purpose of this study was to explore educational use of IPTV in terms of design and development perspective. First, this paper identifies the concept and characteristics of IPTV in an educational context. Second, it categorizes the types of IPTV contents. Lastly, the paper discusses guidelines for the design, development, and management of educational IPTV contents.

  • 우리 사회는 국제결혼과 외국인 근로자 수가 증가하면서 다문화가정이 빠른 속도로 증가하고 있다. 다문화가정의 자녀들에게 교육할 때 학습자들의 수준이 다양하여 교육용 콘텐츠를 활용한 수업지도 방안이 필요하다. 따라서 교육용 콘텐츠가 다문화가정 아동에게 투입되기 위해 기존 개발되어 있는 교육용 콘텐츠를 다문화가정 아동 교육에 활용할 수 있는지를 평가하기 위한 평가 도구를 개발하였다. 이를 통하여 교육용 콘텐츠를 활용한 다문화 교육을 실시하도록 하며, 다문화 교육을 위한 교육용 콘텐츠 개발방향에 도움을 주고자 한다.

  • This paper suggests the methods of curriculum-standards analysis and collection analysis. This paper also designs the sample of archival contents for education based on this methods. This paper intends to verify the methods and to suggest a model of archival contents for education available in connection with the curriculum-standards by designing the archival contents for education on national unification in high school classrooms.

  • So far, previous works with respect to evaluating program contents have concentrated on the implementation of general educational content evaluation. In terms of the efforts required to solve problems, however, there are a few evaluation methods on educational programming language contents. Therefore, we propose new evaluation criteria for educational programming language contents. The detailed research contents can be summarized as follows. First, we analyze existing works and propose naval evaluation criteria for educational programming language contents. Second, the new evaluation criteria is verified by teachers who use Visual Basic educational contents via questionaries. Also, a program content is experimented via the evaluation criteria. Finally, it is expected that our proposed evaluation criteria for educational programming language contents can be used to evaluate newly developed educational programming language contents and to design its evaluation plans.

  • 최근 스마트폰은 가장 대중적인 모바일 기기로서 초중등 학생들의 교육적인 활용 가능성은 다른 IT 기기에 비해서 높다고 할 수 있다. 또한 교육용 소프트웨어 중에서 컴퓨터의 잠재성을 가장 잘 보여줄 수 있는 것은 시뮬레이션이다. 그러나 스마트폰에서 실행되는 교육용 소프트웨어는 다른 모바일 기기에 비해서 특히 작은 화면에 대한 제약 등을 고려해야 하는 특성을 가지고 있다. 이 논문에서는 대표적인 시뮬레이션형 교육용 앱들을 분석하고, 이를 토대로 스마트폰의 특성을 고려한 교육용 콘텐츠 개발전략을 제시하였다.

  • There are various types of educational contents in mobile world. Moreover new and various kinds of contents have been developed recently according the smart phone has become popular. Therefore, many telecommunication companies of domestic and overseas are showing many kinds of smart phone as to customers are growing more and more interested in mobile devices. Currently, most of the language educational contents are composed to foreign languages like English, Japanese, Chinese, but the development of Korean educational contents are inadequate. In this paper, so, we design the linguistic contents for beginning Koran education of foreigner which are used on mobile platforms.

  • Most domestic educational mobile contents put special stress on learning foreign languages such as English, and usually the telecommunications companies and the education companies partner to provide mobile terminals with the contents such as video files. Recently the trend of mobile platforms for the educational contents have been changed because of the release the many kinds of smart phones like iPhone and Google Phone. In this paper, we design the educational contents for Korean listening education to aid to study Korean effectively as a foreign language. It carries out a detailed design to realize and run the contents based on the Android OS which is an open source platform backed by Google.

  • Most of the domestic educational mobile contents are concentrated on learning foreign languages like English and it's common to provide contents with mobile cellphone under partnership between mobile and education companies. In recently, the trend is that the mobile platform of educational contents is changing according to development of various smart phones like I-phone and Google-phone. In this paper, so, we implement listening contents for Korean education to support learning Korean as foreign language effectively. In detail, we implement the operation of contents based on android OS of Google open-type platform of smart phone.

  • In this paper, to establish a way controlling educational contents, range of contents for quality control are offered. And a life-cycle suitable for present circumstance has defined and successive quality control process has suggested supporting development and use of the contents through analyzing the life cycle of its software and previous contents. A life cycle is defined as whole process from formation of contents to its extinction. The developing process includes stages of planning, designing, manufacturing, and the applying process includes evaluation, circulation and management. Suitable quality control guidelines for each process have established and offered. Aim of this paper is also to develop a model which is applicable to developers as well as supporters who help the developing process.

  • As the teaching environment of schools has significantly shifted toward using various types of educational contents, the need for the use of educational contents as class resources has increased. Having an archive is an effective way of organizing information that can provide various educational contents. The National Archives (TNA) of the UK has been actively producing and providing educational contents for teachers and students for a long time. The purpose of this study is to analyze in depth the detailed examples and structure of the contents, the process of producing educational contents, and the methods of providing various contents of the TNA, which systematically provides diverse educational contents. It intended to help archivists discover the educational values of archives in providing users with various types of educational contents. Then, the study compared the analysis results with the National Archives of Korea and suggested for its improvement, as well as that of other archives in the country.
