A new cultivar $Dendranthema$ $grandiflourm$ 'Dream Water' was developed at Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research & Extension Services, Korea in 2009. The cultivar 'Dream Water' was initially derived from the cross in 2005 between 'Patra', a spray chrysanthemum cultivar with yellow single type, and 'Ruces', a spray chrysanthemum cultivar with white single type. The cultivar has single type with ivory petals. Trial evaluation was conducted from 2006 to 2009 for selection of this variety, including a shading culture in spring and a retarding culture in summer. The flowering time of 'Dream Water' was October 24th, and year-round flowering is possible by shading or lighting treatment. The diameter of the flower is 56.0 mm. Number of flowers per stem and petals per flower are 11.1 and 26.8, respectively. Its leaf color was green (Green Group 147A) and plant height was 89.7 cm. Days to flowering under the short day treatment is about 54 in spring, and diameter of flower center was 1.4 cm in the summer. The vase life was 16.7 days in autumn and consumer's preference of new spray chrysanthemum is high level than control.

$Cymbidium$ 'Purple Princess' ('Show Girl' x 'Eiko') is a new cultivar having dark purple sepal and petal (RHS, RP59A) with purple lip (RHS, RP59A). A cross was made between pink colored $C.$'Show Girl' as maternal line and dark purple colored $C.$ 'Eiko' as paternal line in 1994. It was preliminarily selected as Line No. 94019267 in 1999 considering the characters of flower shape and color, leaf growing shape and growth habit in normal culture condition. Multiplication, cultivation, and characteristic trials were conducted from 2000 to 2003. The line was named as Wongyo F1-7 and phenotype was characterized in 2004 as a new 'Purple Princess'. 'Purple Princess' has about 13.2 flowers per flower stalk and flower size of 5.2 cm. General appearance of petals and sepals is slightly incurved shape. The plant size is intermediate having erect peduncle. Blooming starts from early December under optimal culture condition. Leaf attitude and twisting is erect and very weak respectively. Erect leaf will be suitable for growing and handling in the nursery as pot orchid flowers.

A new standard rose cultivar "Snow Day" was bred from the cross between pink standard cultivar "Saphia" and pink standard cultivar "Bridal Beauty" at the National Institute of Horticulture & Herbal Science. The cross was made in 2003 and "Snow Day" was finally selected in 2008 after evaluating characteristics for three years from 2006 to 2008. A white standard cultivar, "Snow Day" grows vigorously and resistant to powder mildew. The major characteristics of this cultivar are $152stems/m^2/year$ in yield, 81.8 cm in length of cut flower, 11.3 cm in flower diameter, 29.2 in petal number, and 13.7 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference for this cultivar is relatively higher than that for the control cultivar, "Tineke".

A new spray rose cultivar 'Cherry Tea' was bred from a cross between pink spray cultivar 'Pinocchio' and yellow spray cultivar 'Flair' at the National Institute of Horticultural Research Institute. The cross was made in 2003 and 'Cherry Tea' was finally selected in 2008 after evaluating characteristics for three years from 2006 to 2008. 'Cherry Tea', a light orange spray cultivar grows vigorously and has good vase life. The major characteristics of this cultivar are $137stems/m^2/year$ in yield, 68.8 cm in length of cut flower, 5.5 cm in flower diameter, 34.0 in petal number, and 12.4 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'Little Marble'.

A new rose cultivar, 'Pretty You' was selected from the progenies of a cross between 'Red Sandra' and 'Mira Bai' by rose breeding team of the Gyeonggi-Do Agricultural Research and Extension Services in 2008. 'Pretty You' was crossed in 2005 and seedlings were produced. After the test of specific characters from 2006 to 2008, it was finally selected and named. 'Pretty You' a stand type with large sized flower, has red and pink color (main color: Red Group 52B, second color: Red Group 50A) flower. 'Pretty You' grows vigorously, it took 45.8 days from pruning to blooming and cut flower productivity is $142.8stems/m^2$ in a year. The length of cut flower is 69.2 cm. It has 11.7 cm in flower diameter and 32.1 in petal numbers per flower. Vase life of the this cultivar can be as long as 12.3 days.

A new poinsettia(Euphorbia pulcherrima. Willd. ex Klotzch) cultivar 'Red Stone' was bred by the National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science (NIHHS) in 2009. In 2006, a cross was made between 'Freedom Rose', a cultivar with vigorous growth and deep pink bracts, and 'Enduring Pink', a cultivar with pink bracts early colored. 'Red Stone' was finally selected in 2009 after the investigation of the growth and flowering characteristics from 2007 to 2009. 'Red Stone' has red elliptic bracts and strong rugosities between bract veins. Leaf blade is ovate and very dark green. Stem color is reddish and petiole length is medium but relatively longer than that of 'Pepride Red', control cultivar. 'Red Stone' develops as many as 3.8 branches and which is more than double of 'Pepride Red'. Its bracts and transitional leaves are fully colored at 7.5 weeks after short-day commencement. Plant variety protection right of 'Red Stone' was registered in April 2011, and its grant number is 3487.

This experiment was conducted to investigate the propagation system by seed to check growth, flowering, and making seed of three-year-old cactus of potted Mammillaria goldii. M. theresae, and M. pseudopeclinata. Plant height and width of them was 2.5~2.8 cm, and 2.8~3.1 cm, and seed formation of Mammillaria goldii and M. theresae had internal body taking130 to 135 days to ripening seeds, however, M. pseudopectinata had externals taking just 26 days to ripening seeds. The mean seeded pod from April to June of M. goldii was 50.0% and the number of seeds in a pod was 25.3. In M. theresae, the mean seeded pod from April to June was 57.3% and the number of seeds in a pod was 35.0. However, the highest rate of seeded pod on May of M. pseudopectinata was 75.0% and the number of seed in a pod was 66.0. The sib crossing was much more ripening seed fertilization than that of self cross ing in the Mammillaria. The self crossing was formed from 12.0% to 20.0% of seeded pod, from 12.0 to 16.0 number of seed in a pod. However, sib crossing obtained 58.0% of seeded pod, 30 seeds in a pod of M. goldii, 65.0% seeded pods and 40 seeds in a pod of M. theresae, and 75.0% seeded pod, 68 seeds in a pod of M. pseudopectinala as the highest of them.

A new spray rose cultivar 'Glory Purple' was bred from the cross between a pink spray cultivar 'Macarena' and a pink spray cultivar 'Million Pink' at the National Institute of Horticulture & Herbal Science. The cross was made in 2004 and a candidate genotype which named as 'Glory Purple' was selected in 2009 after three years investigation for agronomical characters from 2007 to 2009. 'Glory Purple', a purple colored spray cultivar, has vigorous growth and has powdery mildew resistance. The major characteristics of this cultivar are high yield and long stem with relatively large flower size with $157stems/m^2/year$ in yield, 63.5 cm in mean length of cut flower, 6.8 cm in mean flower diameter, 25.78 in mean petal number, and 10.2 days in mean vase life. This cultivar is suitable for propagation by both cutting and grafting methods. The consumer's preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of the control cultivars, 'Pinky and Charming'.

A new spray chrysanthemum cultivar 'Yellow Candy' was released by National Institute of Horticultural & Herbal Science (NIHHS), Rural Development Administration (RDA), in 2008. The cross was made in 2003 between 'Restone' and 'Lollipop'. Trials were conducted from 2006 to 2008 for the evaluation and selection of this cultivar, including shading cultures in summer and retarding cultures in spring. The natural flowering time of 'Yellow Candy' is late October, but year-round flowering is possible by photoperiodic control. It has pompon flower type with yellow petals and yellowish red flower center. The growth of plant is very vigorous. The diameter of flower is 4.3 cm. Number of flowers per stem and petals per flower are 8 and 184, respectively. Days to flowering under the short day treatment is about 58.5 and its vase life is 18.5 days in autumn season. 'Yellow Candy' was applied as No. 2009-177 on Feb. 18, 2009 for variety protection and the plant variety protection rights have been registered as No. 3247 on August 3, 2010 at the Korea Seed and Variety Service.

A new spray rose cultivar "Morning Star" was bred from the cross between orange spray cultivar 'Macarena' and yellow spray cultivar 'Lion Sunshine' at the National Institute of Horticultural Research Institute. The cross was made in 2002 and "Morning Star" was finally selected in 2007 after investigating characteristics for three years from 2005 to 2007. "Morning Star", a orange spray cultivar grows vigorously and has good flower shape. The major characteristics of this cultivar are 170.2 stems/$m^2$/year in yield, 57.4cm in length of cut flower, 5.5cm in flower diameter, 48.5 in petal number, and 11.4 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'Sunny Lady'.
