한국오리협회 광주·전남도지회(지회장 전영옥)가 지난 7월 14일 전남 영암축협에서 '제14차 정기총회'를 개최했다. 260여 명이 넘는 오리농가들이 참석한 이날 정기총회에서는 지난해 광주·전남도지회 사업실적과 수입·지출 결산안을 원안의결 하는 한편 각종 방역교육 등이 이어지며 전남지역 오리농가들의 힘을 하나로 결집하는 자리로 마련됐다. 최다 인원이 참석한 이날 정기총회를 중심으로 한국오리산업의 메카인 광주·전남지역의 현안을 살펴봤다.

혹자는 그녀를 '대장부'라고도 하고 다른 사람들은 그녀를 '외유내강'이라고도 한다. 대한민국 최고의 오리 집산지인 전남지역의 오리농가들을 대표하는 전영옥 한국오리협회 광주·전남도지회장은 오리농가들의 권익을 위해서라면 불도저처럼 밀어붙이고, 오리농가의 어려움이 있을 때는 옆집 누나처럼 세심하게 살피며 전남·광주도지회를 이끌고 있다. '전영옥이 뜨면 전남도의 오리농가는 모두 모인다'는 소문을 확인이라도 하듯 지난 7월 14일 영암축협에서 열린 광주·전남도지회 정기총회에는 역대 최다 인원인 260여 명의 오리농가가 운집하며 오리농가들의 결집된 힘을 보여줬다. 전남 오리농가들의 '큰 누나' 전영옥 지회장을 만나러 가보자

지난 05년 12월에 내린 폭설로인해 전라도 지역 양계농가에 큰 피해가 잇따라 발생했다. 전국적으로 양계를 포함해 3천 5백억원의 피해를 입은 것으로 알려지고 있는 가운데 본회 최준구 회장은 지난 1월 10~11일 이틀에 걸쳐 호남지역을 방문, 피해현장을 돌아보았다. 이날 최준구 회장은 광주·전남 도지회를 방문하여 양계농가 회원들과 함께 폭설피해 대책 논의를 했다. 큰 피해가 말해 주듯이 호남 양계인들이 다수 모여 피해상황과 대책논의를 위해 광주ㆍ전남도지회에 모였다. 방문일정으로 전남지역은 윤한성 지회장과 김회동 상무가 동행했으며 전북지 역은 박옥룡 지회장과 이희환 상무가 동행해 실질적인 피해현황을 파악하는데 도움을 주었으며 최준구 회장은 방문 농가마다 격려금을 전달하며 위로의 뜻을 전하였다. 본고는 방문한 4개 농장에 대해 피해실태를 간접적으로 파악해 보았다.

Objectives : Severe mental illness is a major risk factor for suicide. This study aimed to identify characteristics of patients who died by suicide among subjects who had been received service from a community mental health center. Methods : We searched individuals who had committed suicide in Gwangju Bukgu Community Mental Health Center since 2006. Sociodemographic and clinical data were gathered from medical records and their case managers and they were compared with those of general members in the center. Characteristics of schizophrenia patients who died by suicide were particularly summarized. Results : Twelve person committed suicide between 2006 and 2016. The characteristics of those who died by suicide were male (67%), diagnosis of schizophrenia (75%), aged below 50 (83%), unemployed (92%), past history of psychiatric hospitalization (100%), recent admission within 3 months (67%), past history of suicidal attempt (78%), family history of schizophrenia (58%), poor adherence to medication (58%), and use of daily rehabilitation program (42%). Ten out of twelve (83%) showed warning sign for suicide. All identified method of suicide in patients with schizophrenia was jumping from high building. Many patients with schizophrenia, who committed suicide, suffered from comorbid depressive symptoms (67%) and auditory hallucination (78%). Conclusion : Case managers should pay attention to and carefully manage individuals who showed suicidal warning, particularly with risk factors for suicide, such as unemployment, admission state or recent discharge from psychiatric hospital, poor adherence to medication, family history of schizophrenia, and a history of suicidal attempt.

This investigation into the actual condition of instruction with the General Science textbook was carried out by conducting a questionnaire survey of a General Science teachers at high schools in the Gwangju-Jeonnam area. As a result of analysis, it was found that the percentage of four different teachers teaching the four science subjects was 62.5% of the whole, and the percentage of one teacher teaching all four science subjects was 7.5% in Gwangju, with the percentages being 21.1% and 36.6%, respectively, for Jeonnam. An most appropriate type of General Science textbook instruction is for four different teachers to teach the for different subjects (75%) according to teachers in the Gwangju-Jeonnam area. The teachers that teach the General Science textbook want the course to include the following sections in this order in the chemistry field in the new General Science textbook: atoms, molecules, and ions; chemical reactions, chemical periodicity, and acids and bases

지난 10월 24일 대전 소재 선샤인호텔에서 '2017년 제4차 계란자조금관리위원회 대의원회'를 통해 제5대 계란자조금관리위원장에 남기훈 후보가 만장일치로 추대됐다. 더불어 이날 자리에서 대의원회 의장에 오정길 씨(전, 한국양계축산업 협동조합장), 부의장은 김양길 씨(본회 광주전남도지회장), 감사에는 한만혁 씨(무지개농장)와 장재권 씨(자연농장)가 당선됐다. 금년 초 본회 제21대 임원으로 선출되면서 본회 부회장이자 채란위원장에 이어, 2년간 계란자조금관리위원회를 이끌어갈 남기훈 위원장을 만나 앞으로 운영 계획에 대해 들어보았다.
