The decline in urban center, changes in the population structure, economic slump and etc. have caused empty or deserted houses in the city. The government recognizes the houses as the reason for the accelerated formation of local slum, and as the negative element threatening the residential environment, urban landscape, social stability and others. This research aims at investigating the spatial distribution of empty or deserted houses in Gwangju metro city, identifying hotspots and classifying those hotspot according to the socioeconomic indicators as well as physical ones, and examining their characteristics and problems in the urban space. The results of this study are as follows. First of all, there is a positive spatial autocorrelation in the spatial distribution of empty and deserted houses in Gwangju metro city. Second, several hotspots are identified mainly around the old CBD area showing a sign of urban decline. Third, the indicators of urban decline were visualized using triangulation charts, and hotspots of empty(deserted) houses are classified so that the classification could serve for effective urban regeneration policy making tailored for each region.

경기도 광주시 경안동 해태그린아파트에 생계란 자판기가 들어섰다. 아파트에 거주하는 300세대의 주민들은 매일 농장에서 생산된 계란을 먹을 수 있는 특권(?)을 갖게 된 것이다. 이런 일은 국내에서 전대미문이었기 때문에 처음에는 상인들의 상술로 치부되어 부정적인 시각으로 바라볼 수밖에 없었다. 하지만 주민들은 농장에서 신선하게 생산되는 계란을 쉽고 저렴하게 구입할 수 있다는 것을 알게 되면서 판매량이 부쩍 늘고 있다. 계란자판기는 앞으로 광주시내에 9대가 더 설치되어 생산자와 소비자를 더욱 가깝게 만드는 교량역할을 할 것으로 기대되고 있다.

본 연구에서는 광주광역시 지하수의 수질 및 이용형태를 분석하고, 수질의 지화학적 조성을 통해 지하수의 유동기구를 추정하고자 한다. 그 결과를 기초로 지하수의 오염방지 및 지하수 이용에 대한 제반 관리방안을 제시하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 화강암질 편마암은 광주지역의 기저가 되는 암석으로서 동남부의 일부지역에 부분적으로 분포하고 있으며, 북동부와 남서부의 축을 중심으로 넓게 분포한 화강암은 대부분 쥬라기때 관입한 조립질 흑운모화강암으로서 풍화에 약하여 300m이하의 낮은 능선을 이루고 있다. (중략)

정부가 광주 지역에 광산업을 육성하겠다는 방침을 밝힘에 따라 작년 말부터 진행돼오던 ‘광산업 육성 및 집적화계획’이 수면 위로 떠올랐다. 광주광역시는 첨단과학산업단지 내에 광산업 집적화단지를 조성해서 저가로 임대해 주고, 제품 개발, 평가, 생산을 지원하는 시스템을 갖출 예정이다. 지금까지 진행돼 온 과정과 중점 내용, 관계자 인터뷰를 통해서 자세한 내용을 소개한다.

광주광역시를 중심으로 광산업 육성방안이 추진되고 있는 가운데, 광주 시청 관계자와 관련 교수, 기업인 등 15명은 미국 광산업 실태 조사를 위해 9월 16일부터 11일간 미국을 방문해 광관련 벤처기업과 연구소를 방문했다. 또한 광관련 박람회를 참관하고 OIDA 및 광산업 집적지에 대한 실태조사도 벌였다. 이를 통해 몇몇 업체와 연구소, 협회로부터 투자유치와 협조 의사를 듣고 돌아왔다. 광주 시청의 연수 보고서를 통해 미국의 광선진기술과 산업 내용을 개괄

무등산 지역은 광주광역시 동부와 전남 화순군 서부 및 담양군 남부지역이 만나는 곳에 위치한 무등산(1187m)과 그 주위 지역을 포함하는 곳으로, 기존 연구는 광주지질도폭(김규봉 외, 1990)과 동복지질도폭(김봉균과 박병권, 1966)조사에서 비교적 자세히 수행되었으며, 화성암체에 대한 연구는 김용준 교수팀(김용준 외, 2003)에 의해 수행되었다. 본 연구는 이 지역의 화산암류를 중심으로 암석-광물의 화학적 특징, 분출시기 및 광물조성을 밝힘으로서 광주 동부지역에서의 백악기 화성활동과 이들 화산암류의 암석화학적 특징을 밝히는데 있다. 청각 장애인 운전자를 위한 보조등을 개발하고자 한다. 청각 장애인들은 운전할 때 다른 차의 경적이나 구급차, 소방차와 같은 긴급 자동차의 사이렌 소리를 듣지 못한다. LED 기술과 아두이노를 활용하여 소리의 발생 위치와 종류를 시각적으로 표시하며, 진동으로 알림을 제공해 주고자 한다. 이를 통해 다른 운전자와의 오해를 줄이고 운전 중의 시각 집중도를 높일 수 있을 것이다. 이로써, 청각 장애인들이 운전 시 마주치는 애로사항을 완화할 수 있을 것이다. 이 제품은 다양한 차종에 적용할 수 있을 것이며, 청각 장애 운전자에게 자유로운 운전과 도로 안전을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

This study was conducted to identify the factors of hypertension treatment in Gwangju and to establish a hypertension cure rate management plan by using local community health surveys to provide the hypertension cure rate management plan centering around the wellness local community. The research collected 13,714 Gwangju research data among a total of 685,820 local community health surveys of KDCA (Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency) from 2017 to 2019. Among the data, 2,941 subjects, those with diagnosed hypertension aged over 30, were selected and analyzed through SAS 9.4, SAS Enterprise Miner 15.1. The results are as follows. The differences in hypertension diagnosis cure rate in Gwangju based on the subjects' socioeconomic characteristics were shown in gender, age, marital status, level of educational attainment, economic activity status, and monthly income. The significant differences in hypertension cure rate based on health behavior characteristics were shown in current smoking, monthly alcohol consumption, high-risk drinking, breakfast, recognition of good health level, diabetes and treatment, annual unmet medical needs, and annual health center use. As a result of the logistic regression analysis and interactive decision tree analysis to identify the factors affecting hypertension treatment, the research found that the factors that appear are age, marital status, diabetes and treatment, and annual unmet medical needs. Accordingly, to increase the recognition of the importance of hypertension treatment to people of young ages and not to develop complications, public health-educational effort in Gwangju is needed with an effective preparation plan.

A Study on individual Characteristics and Daily Activities of Housewives in the City of Kwangju. This study examines housewives' daily activities, focusing upon individual characteristics. The data used in this study are based on the fuestionaire survey, asking of personal trip for the weekdays and the weekend. Daily activities are classified into 7 categories and individual characteristics are revealed by age, occupation, a degree of education, number of family, and the residential environment. The results of this study are as follows: 1) The relations between daily activities and individual characteristics are influenced by housewife's occupation. Daily activities of housewives who have jobs are different from those who do not have jobs for a weekday as well as for a weekend. 2) Housewives' daily activities show very busy and vigorous on Saturday. 3) Housewives who are employed are willing to make mutipurpose trips on Saturday. 4) For a weekday, housewives' daily activities are inclined to make one cycle trip in a day, and the more trip cycles are, the more multipurpose trips are made. 5) The relationships between daily activities and individual characteristics show the pattern of WH, WLH, LHLH as it can be grouped.
