A Comparative Analysis on Ad Avoidance of Korean and Chinese Mobile Advertising Audiences based on Country and Age (한국과 중국 모바일광고 수용자의 광고회피에 관한 국가 및 연령별 비교연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how the consumer's entertainment, information, relevance, reliability, and perceived invasion affect the avoidance of advertising. Besides, the purpose of this study was to examine whether there is a difference according to the country and age in the effect of advertisement characteristics on the evasion. This study investigated the avoidance of mobile advertising among 254 Koreans and Chinese publics in their 20's and 40's, evaluated the results in terms of comparative analysis. Collected data were verified by multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. The higher the advertising entertainment and relevance, the lower the avoidance of advertising. The higher the perceived penetration, the higher the avoidance of advertising. Besides, there were differences by country and age in the effects of advertising entertainment, information, relevance, and reliability on ad avoidance. The implications of this study are to find out how to reduce the mobile advertising avoidance of consumers by identifying the predictive factors that cause the avoidance of advertisements by country and age.

  • Attitude toward the advertising is widely used in studies of traditional mass media advertising. As internet marketing becomes more important, attitude toward the website will gain parallel status in evaluating effectiveness. And also, studies on relationship among attitude toward the website, attitude toward the advertising, attention to the commercial, attitude toward the brand, & purchase intention was needed. This study sets a hypothetical model about the relationship among attitude toward the website, attitude toward the advertising, attention to the commercial, attitude toward the brand, & purchase intention. And to testify this model, 10 hypotheses were set. The results of the analysis, all variables were related significantly.

The Context Effect of Web Contents and Advertising (웹사이트 콘텐츠와 광고의 맥락효과 검증)

  • This study is to verify effects of banner advertising by context effect in web contents. For this, it analyzed the effects of banner advertising by association of internet article's contents, emotion, difficulty of article and the level of involvement. According to the result of experimental design, banner advertising effects by context effects of web contents were high in the following cases; in the case when the contents were highly associated with banner advertising; in the case when the positive emotions were formed by the internet article; in the case when the difficultly of article was low; and in the case when consumer's involvement was high. And also, when the contents were highly associated with the advertising, the content effects of web contents were high even in the case when the negative emotions were formed; in the case when the difficulty of article was high; and consumer's involvement was low.

Advertising Strategies of Incongruent Extension Product : Focused on Difference of Adult and Children (불일치 확장제품의 광고전략 : 성인과 아동의 차이를 중심으로)

  • Previous researches on advertising type of extension product have limitations in focusing on adult and simplifying advertising type of extension product as elaborational/relational ad. This study expands to children and subdivides advertising type of extension product by elaborational/relational/elaborational-relational ad. Based on these experimental setting, this study investigates the effects of interaction between age and advertising type in incongruent brand extension. The results show that adult's evaluation on incongruent extension product is the most favorable in elaborational-relational ad. On the other hand, children's evaluation on incongruent extension product is the most favorable in elaborational ad. Based on these findings, theoretical and practical implication and future direction are discussed.

  • 문맥광고는 인터넷 사용자들이 뉴스나 커뮤니티 사이트에서 콘텐츠를 조회할 때, 해당 콘텐츠와 일치하거나 관련성이 높은 제품 또는 서비스 정보를 제공하는 새로운 방식의 광고기법이다. 그러나 현재 제공되고 있는 서비스의 대부분은 콘텐츠와의 관계가 다소 떨어지거나, 수동적으로 광고주가 선택한 키워드 또는 카테고리 선택에 의해 서비스가 제공되고 있다. 따라서 문맥광고의 효율성을 높이기 위해서는 사용자가 조회한 콘텐츠내의 문맥정보를 분석하여 콘텐츠와의 관련성이 높은 서비스를 제공하는 방법에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 사용자가 조회한 콘텐츠의 내용과 보다 관련 있는 서비스 제공을 위해 콘텐츠의 내용을 대표할 수 있는 중요 키워드를 선정하고, 콘텐츠 내에서 추출된 키워드간의 연관성을 분석하여 콘텐츠와 관련된 서비스를 제공하는 방법에 대해 제안한다.

A Study of Characteristics and Symbolic Meanings appeared in Body Modification Commodity Ads (신체수정을 위한 상품 광고의 특성과 상징적 의미에 대한 연구)

  • 패션잡지에 실린 패션 및 뷰티 관련 상품의 광고들은 현시대의 미의 이상을 제시하고, 상품소비를 통해 이를 성취할 수 있음을 제안함으로써 신체와 관련한 미적 상징성을 보여준다. 본 연구의 목적은 신체수정을 위한 상품의 특성과 상징적 의미를 확인하는 데 있으며, 이를 위해 여성잡지 Vogue와 남성잡지 GQ 광고 중 화장품과 바디케어 용품 광고를 선정하여, 이를 신체의 특성, 즉 색상, 볼륨과 비율, 형태와 구조, 텍스쳐, 향의 측면에서 구분하여 조사하였다. 그 결과, Vogue와 GQ 모두 다양한 종류의 신체수정을 위한 상품광고를 선보이고 있었으며, 상대적으로 Vogue가 GQ보다 더 많은 양과 종류의 상품 광고를 보이고 있었다. 신체의 특성에 따른 상품의 비중을 보면, Vogue는 신체의 색상과 관련한 시각적인 면이 높게 나타났고. 반면, GQ는 신체의 골격과 형태미, 볼륨과 비율, 그리고 향과 같은 덜 시각적인 면에서의 상품비중이 높았으며, 텍스쳐와 관련한 상품은 비슷한 비율로 나타났다. 이들 상품광고의 텍스트와 이미지에서 보이는 특성은 다기능성. 자연성, 개별성으로 구분할 수 있으며, 세계적 미의 추구, 젊음과 건강 이데올로기, 젠더 무경계화라는 상징적 의미를 내포하고 있다.

Factors Influencing Consumer's Sharing Intent of Facebook Viral Advertising (소비자의 페이스북 바이럴 광고 구전의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • As online video advertising market grows, viral advertising is drawing attention. This study investigated factors influencing consumer's sharing intent of viral advertising each from four dimensions which are content, sender, consumer, and network. As a result, factors of persuasive intent, brand-ad image fit, perceived self-presentation, and bridging social capital were found to affect consumer's sharing intent of viral advertising. And persuasive intent of content was found to be negatively affect consumer's sharing intent. Social value and bonding social capital were not found to have significant influence on consumer's sharing intent of viral advertising. From the analysis of this result, this study suggested future research topic and academic/practical implications.

  • In this study, a model of the effects of advertising on an employee's organizational identification was proposed by combining psychological contract, social identity theory with hierarchy of effect model. Our empirical results show that perceived accuracy of message in advertising affected attitude toward advertising significantly while perceived relevance of message with respondents' department didn't. And attitude toward advertising influenced employee's organizational identification. New findings in this research is the role of attitude toward advertising influencing on employee's organizational identification as mediator variable.

  • There has been remarkable growth in the study of the role played by affect in advertising in the past 16 year. The research of the role in advertising has studied in different perspectives, provide guidelines for practicers. But the evidence of these research have limits to service advertising creative strategy, because of no integrated framework. The goal is to provide broad assessment and insight of the role played by affect in advertising from academic literature. This article are discussed the concept relating affect, the type of advertising appeal, affect and context effects, affect and individual different in reponses, affect and attitude toward the ad in advertising. Finally, from a critical analysis of state knowledge, this article suggested 5 directions for future research in the recommended areas.

Relevant perceptual features on advertising and indirect advertising effectiveness factors of Chinese viewers (중국시청자의 간접광고 효과요인과 광고기능 관련성 지각)

  • The purpose of this study was targeting Chinese viewers. Awareness of factors affecting indirect advertising effects were investigated. What is the awareness of advertising features for Chinese viewers also examined. Advertising and indirect advertising effectiveness factors examined relationships recognized. Chinese viewers were collected through surveys. Firstly, factors affecting indirect advertising effects was seven. Sponsor, celebrity involvement, and blatantly portrayed, reliability, brand differentiation, ethics and information provided is a factor. Second, the advertising capabilities of the Chinese viewers were relatively positive perception. Indirect advertising effects of Chinese viewers, features and advertising on the relevance factors, there was a significant relationship. Celebrity involvement and brand differentiation, blatantly portrayed, and ethical factors had an impact on the function of advertising. These results provide indirect advertising of China and South Korea produced implications for practitioners. Korea also interested in entering the Chinese enterprises will provide the basic material in the production of indirect advertising.
