Mediation effect of career self-regulation on the relation between family strength and career decision-making difficulties (대학생의 가족건강성과 진로결정 어려움 간의 관계에서 진로자기조절의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between family strength and career decision-making difficulties and the mediating effect or career self-regulation. The results of the present study suggested the significance of family strength and career self-regulation in understanding career decision-making difficulties. With 172 Korean college students, there were both significant direct and indirect effects from family strength to career decision-making difficulties. Specifically, the mediation roles of career self-regulation was confirmed. Comparing the partial mediation model with full mediation model, the partial mediation model fits better with the data. These results have significant clinical implication that counseling practitioners need to address the possible influence of family strength on college student's perceived difficulties in career decision-making process and to assist students develop appropriate level of competencies of regulating one's emotion, thoughts, and behavior related to career problems.

An Analysis of the Difficulties Faced by New Science Teachers in Secondary Schools (중등과학 초임교사가 교직수행과정에서 겪는 어려움 분석)

  • This study aimed to identify the difficulties that new science teachers in secondary schools experience. Subjects for this study were 190 science teachers attending qualifying training for 1st degree of teaching certificate. Using an open questionnaire, the difficulties these teachers encounter were collected, categorized, and compared between their first year and their succeeding years of teaching in terms of their school level, gender, majors and regions. Results showed that first year science teachers have had difficulties in areas including subject teaching, guidance, administrative affairs, human relationship and self-understanding. On their succeeding years, difficulties about subject teaching were reduced to half while other difficulties remained. New teachers in middle schools have experienced the most number of difficulties about guidance, while new teachers in general high schools have experienced the most number of difficulties about subject teaching. Based on these findings, some recommendations were proposed for new science teachers in secondary schools, school administrators, and training institutions.

  • 유역의 홍수량 산정하기 위해서 데이터기반 모형, 개념적 모형, 프로세스 기반 모형과 같은 다양한 개념의 수문학적 모형이 개발되고 적용성이 검토되고 있다. 물리기반 강우-유출관계 모형의 경우, 이론적으로 강우유출응답의 연속 모의에 적합하다고 알려져 있으나 모형 구성에 필요한 수문자료 확보의 한계성 때문에 실절적인 적용에 어려움이 있다. 또한 수문 자료가 충분하지 않거나, 없는 미계측 유역에서 홍수량을 산정하기 위해서는 기존의 수문 관측 시스템의 데이터를 이용하기 어렵기 때문에 레이더 및 위성 등을 이용한 다양한 기상수문데이터 도입이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 관측된 자료와 함께 모델기반 수문기상 시스템인 GLDAS(Global Land Data Assimilation System, GLDAS)의 자료를 이용하여 개념적 강우-유출관계 모형인 PMD(Probaility Distributed Model, PMD)을 통해 홍수량을 모의하는 방법을 적용하였다. 이를 위해 개념적 강우유출관계 모형을 구성하고, 공간적 토양저류(soil moisture storage)분포를 산정하기 위해 토양의 함수상태를 산출하였다. 이같은 접근법은 수문 자료의 제한, 모형 검정의 문제와 같은 어려움을 해결하기 위한 대안으로 제시할 수 있으며, 분석 결과로부터 모델기반 수문기상 자료와 개념적 강우-유출관계 모형의 활용가능성을 검증할 계획이다.

Design and Implementation of Transformation of XML Schema to Relational Schema (XML 스키마로부터 관계형 스키마 변환 기법 설계 및 구현)

  • XML은 W3C에서 제안된 웹 상에서 데이터를 표현하고 교환하는 표준이다. XML 문서를 관계형 데이터베이스나 객체지향 데이터베이스에 바로 저장하기에는 적합하지 못하기 때문에, XML문서에서 DTD를 이용하여 관계형 데이터베이스 스키마를 추출하고, 저장하는 방법에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 DTD는 타입이 제한되어있고, 확장의 어려움이 있기 때문에 XML 스키마를 이용하여 DTD의 단점을 보완하고, 관계형 데이터 베이스 스키마를 추출하여 저장할 수 있게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 XML 스키마를 관계형 스키마로 변환하는 기법을 제안하고 구현 결과를 보인다. 제안된 방법은 XML 스키마를 이용하므로, 타입의 확장성 및 유연성 등을 제공할 수 있다.

Suicidal Ideation among Low-income Households in South Korea - Focusing on the Experience of Material Hardship - (저소득층의 자살생각에 관한 탐색적 연구 - 물질적 어려움의 경험을 중심으로 -)

  • Using a nationally representative sample from three recent waves of the Korean Welfare Panel Study, this study examined the association between experiencing material hardship and suicidal ideation among low-income households in South Korea. Overall, we found that experiencing material hardship was associated with a higher likelihood of having suicidal ideation. We also found that, among individual items of material hardship, experiencing food insecurity or credit problems was associated with a higher likelihood of having suicidal ideation. Furthermore, we found that the association of experiencing material hardship with having suicidal ideation was more pronounced for male-headed or elderly-headed households. Policy implications to improve living condition among low-income households and reduce their suicide-related behavior were discussed.

  • 감정이입은 친사회적 행동의 잠재적 동기요인으로서 발달심리학자들 (e.g., Feshbach, 1978 ; Hoffman, 1975)로부터 지대한 관심을 받아왔다. 어려움에 처한 다른 사람에 대해 감정이입적으로 자극된 사람은 상호 체험하는 심적 고통(distress)으로부터 벗어난다는 기대에 의해서, 또는 지원적 행위 후에 대리체험할 수 있는 긍정적인 감정에 대한 기대에 의해서, 그 사람을 지원하도록 동기유발 되어질 수 있다(Barnett & Thompson, 1985; Hoffman, 1975). 감정이입과 친사회적 행동 사이의 긍정적 관계에 대한 충분한 이론적 근거에도 불구하고, 그 관련성을 실증하는데 실패한 많은 연구들에서 나타난 개념적, 방법론적 문제들이 본 논문에서 분석되었다. 성인의 감정이입과 친사회적 행동과의 관계에 대한 연구들은 상당히 일관된 긍정적 결과를 제시해온 반면, 아동들, 특히 어린 유아들을 대상으로 한 경우, 명백하거나 쉽게 해석할 수 있는 패턴의 관련성이 확립되지 못했다. 이러한 종전 연구에서의 문제점은 감정이입에 대한 개념적 논쟁 및 측정방법의 어려움에 기인할 수 있다. 감정이입과 친사회적 행동 사이의 실험적인 관련성의 강도는 이 변인들을 측정하기 위해 사용된 방법들의 특성과 제한성에 다분히 의존하는 것으로 보인다. 친사회적 반응에 영향을 미치는 것으로 가정되어지는 다양한 상황적, 동기적 요소들을 감안하여, 유아의 감정이입 능력이 구체적인 사회적 상황에서 작용되는 과정이 보다 면밀하게 연구되어져야 한다.

인쇄업 10년 경기분석

  • 한국은행이 최근에 발표한 1990년 이후 인쇄업체의 기업경영 분석에 따르면 인쇄산업의 성장세는 주춤하거나 하락세를 보인 반면, 각 기업의 재무구조는 건실해 진 것으로 조사됐다. 외형보다는 내실화에 집중하는 경향은 97-98년을 전후로 뚜렷하게 나타났는데, 구제금융의 한파 이후 환율상승과 이자율 급등에 어려움을 겪었던 업체들이 기업의 내실 경영에 치중했기 때문이다. 기업 경영의 안정성이 점차 확보되는 가운데 몇가지 우려되는 점은 과다경쟁으로 인한 부가가치 하락과 99년 이후 양호해 지던 각종 지표들이 2002년 들어 주춤하는 양상을 보이고 있다는 점이다. 한국은행 발표자료를 업계의 성장성, 생산성, 손익의 관계비율, 매출액과 관련된 기업경영, 자산 및 부채 관계비율로 나누어 분석해 보았다.

Moderated Mediating Effect according to the Severity Level of a Disability and Mediating Effect of Job Security in the Relationship between Difficulties in the Workplace of the Disabled Wage Workers caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic and Their Life Satisfaction (장애인의 코로나19로 인한 직장 내 어려움과 생활만족도의 관계에서 고용안정성의 매개효과 및 장애중증여부의 조절된 매개효과)

  • The objective of this study is to verify the moderated mediating effects according to the severity level of a disability as well as the mediating effects of job security in the relationship between difficulties in the workplace of the disabled wage workers caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and their life satisfaction. As a result of analysis using SPSS ver. 25 and PROCESS macro, the difficulties within the workplace caused by the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative influence on life satisfaction through the job security of the disabled wage worker. In other words, it was revealed that the level of difficulties being faced by the disabled wage workers, which were caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, hinders their life satisfaction through job security. In addition, no moderating effect according to the severity level of disability was identified in the relationship between these variables. This is translated that difficulties in the workplace caused by the COVID-19 pandemic reduce job security and life satisfaction of the disabled wage workers regardless of the severity level of the disability. Based on the results thus far, this study further discussed the institutional implications for promoting the job security and life satisfaction of the disabled wage workers under the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Phenomenological Study on the Elementary Students' Experience Participating in the Science Fair (과학전람회에 참여하는 초등학생들의 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the elementary student's growth and its implications from the students' experience participating in the science fair by phenomenological study. The results are as follows. First, the students have various experiences. They acquire scientific knowledge and inquiry skills by conducting in-depth experiments, visiting several places, and interviewing experts. They have some experience in writing experiment journals to record the inquiry process in their own language, and presenting their results in public. Second, the students suffer several difficulties while preparing for the science fair. They have some difficulties when the results were not consistent with the hypothesis, or they had to repeat the experiment over and over. They feel burdened in writing the experiment journal. They had a few time to meet friends or for hobbies. Third, the students improve scientific attitude through the science fair, and they receive a positive effect on the affective side. They developed scientific interest, curiosity, cooperation, etc. And they also gained a sense of accomplishment, confidence, friendship, good relationship with teachers, career interest, etc. This study finds out that students participating in the science fair have a lot of experience that cannot be done easily in a normal science class. Even though students confront some difficulties in the inquiry process, they make good progression and feel accomplished. So the science fair is valuable experience for them.

Effects of Cognitive Impairment on Self-reported Hearing Handicap in Older Adults with Early-stage Presbycusis (초기 노인성 난청자에서 인지장애가 일상생활 듣기 어려움에 미치는 영향)

  • Everyday hearing handicap caused by presbycusis ultimately reduces quality of life in older adults. The aim of this study was to explore effects of cognitive impairment on self-reported hearing handicap in older adults with early-stage presbycusis. We compared K-HHIE scores between 40 elderly subjects with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and age- and hearing-threshold matched 40 cognitively normal elderly (CNE) subjects. The results are as follows: 1) The MCI group scored significantly higher than the CNE group on the social/situational and emotional sections, and in total. 2) The MCI group scored significantly higher than the CNE group on all four subscales, and the most significant group difference was on the first subscale relating to interpersonal relationships and social handicaps. 3) Both groups scored highest on the item 8 (problems hearing whispering sounds) and item 15 (problems hearing TV or radio sounds). Besides those two items, the MCI group also scored high on the item 21 (problems hearing in a restaurant), item 6 (problems hearing when attending a party), item 3 (avoiding groups of people), and item 20 (personal or social restrictions). Our findings suggest that, among older adults with early-stage presbycusis, older adults with cognitive impairment tend to report greater everyday hearing handicap than their peers with normal cognitive function. Especially, they show significant problems hearing in background noise or multi-talker situations, which cause social restrictions and social/emotional loneliness.
