Information Systems Outsourcing Success: The Interaction Effect between Partnership and Asset Specificity (정보시스템 아웃소싱의 성공요인 분석: 파트너십과 자산특이성의 상호효과)

  • 실증적인 연구들에 의하면 고객회사(client firms)와 서비스 제공업자(vendor) 간의 파트너십의 질과 범위가 정보시스템 아웃소싱의 성공적인 구현에 결정적인 역할을 하는 것으로 알려졌다. 본 연구는 이러한 정보시스템 아웃소싱 구현에 있어서 파트너십의 역할을 좀 더 심층적으로 분석하려는 노력의 일환이다. 본 연구에서의 기본 명제는 파트너십 특성들의 아웃소싱 구현에의 효과는 아웃소싱 업무의 특성(task characteristics)과 같은 상황적 요인에 의해 영향을 받을 수 있다는 것이다. 구체적으로 본 연구에서는 자산특이성(asset specificity)과 파트너십 특성간의 상호효과(interaction effect)에 중점을 두고 조사를 하게되는데, 파트너십은 관계적거래 특성(relational exchange characteristics)에 의해 구체화되었다. 207개의 미국 회사의 아웃소싱 관계를 대상으로 한 설문조사를 기반으로 한 결과에 의하면, 전반적으로 비관계적거래(discrete exchange)보다 관계적거래에 기반을 두고 아웃소싱 관계를 운영하는 것이 아웃소싱의 성공적 구현을 위하여 필수적인 것으로 보인다. 한편 상호효과를 조사하기 위해서는 MRA와 하위그룹분석(subgroup analysis)을 시행하였는데, 자산특이성과 일부 관계적거래 특성들간에 상호효과가 유의성이 있음을 발견하였다. 발견된 상호효과를 근거로 상황 변수를 고려하지 않은 연구 결과 중 확실하지 않은 결과(inconclusive results)에 대한 해석을 시도하였다.

  • 최근 소셜 네트워크 서비스가 새로운 커뮤니케이션의 패러다임이 되었다. 트위터 등의 마이크로블로 그 서비스 경우 사용하기 편리하고 단순하여 많은 사용자가 존재 한다. 그리고 주제가 특정되어 있지 않아 어떠한 정보도 공유 될 수 있기 때문에 많은 양의 정보가 공유되고 있다. 하지만 기존의 소셜 네트워크 서비스에서 사용자 간의 관계 형성은 상호 간의 신청과 허용이 이루어져야만 가능하기 때문에 관계를 형성 하고 정보를 공유 하는데 있어 이런 점은 다소 불편하게 작용 된다. 또한 다양한 주제의 정보가 다수 존재하기 때문에 사용자에게 불필요한 정보까지 노출이 되어 사용자가 원하는 정보를 찾는데 어려우며 않은 시간이 낭비 되는 문제점이 있다. 그리고 학교 자체적으로 운영 되고 있는 커뮤니티 사이트의 경우 학생들을 위한 시스템이지만 불편한 인터페이스, 낮은 접근성, 늦은 피드백 등으로 학생들의 참여도가 낮고 공유 되고 있는 정보의 양이 적은 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서 기술하는 시스템은 사용자가 수강하는 특정 강의를 기반으로 사용자 간의 관계를 자동형성 한다. 그러므로 정보를 찾는데 있어 선행 되어야 할 많은 작업에 소요 되는 노력과 시간을 줄여준다. 또한, 강의 기반의 자동 관계 형성으로 인하여 공유되고 있는 많은 정보들 중에서 사용자가 원하는 정보를 찾기가 간편하다. 본 논문이 제안하는 시스템은 이미 형성 된 관계 혹은 조직에서 사용할 수 있는 소셜 네트워크 서비스로 발전될 것으로 사료 된다.

Service Failure, Service Recovery Activity and Satisfaction with Online Shopping Channel of Apparel Products (온라인 의류쇼핑에서 서비스 실패 경험 후 쇼핑채널의 회복노력에 따른 채널만족도)

  • Unexpected consumer dissatisfaction emerges through rapid growth and expansion of on-line shopping channel. This research focused on the fashion online retail channels' negative aspect caused by service failure which possibly disappointed consumers. We also tried to seek for appropriate service recovery types based on frequently offered recovery types on-line. Data from college students were analyzed. Results indicate that fitting problem, insufficient information, product defect, inventory problem and slow delivery were the main service failure types in apparel e-shopping. Regression analysis identified that among these types, insufficient information, product defect, and slow delivery had significant influence on channel satisfaction after post recovery effort. Results also confirmed significant relationships between channel satisfaction and channel switching. Consumers perceived benefit level causes overall channel satisfaction level to rise while perceived risk leads to lower level of channel satisfaction. Choosing desirable service recovery activities in each service failure situations is necessary in order to raise consumer's channel satisfaction in online apparel shopping.

Influence of the Innovativeness on the Use Intention in SNS: Focused on UTAUT (혁신성이 SNS 사용 의도에 미치는 영향: UTAUT를 중심으로)

  • Social Network Service is a web-based service that allows the people to construct relationship among users with same interest and supports various activities such as managing personal relations and sharing information or contents. The objective of this study is analysing the influence of the innovativeness on the use intention in SNS based on the UTAUT model. This study establishes a theoretical model that includes four independent variables(performance expectancy, effort expendancy, social influence, innovativeness) and two moderating variables(gender and innovativeness). The empirical results obtained in a sample of 403 university students are followings; 1) The use intention is positively influenced by the performance expectancy, effort expendancy, social influence and innovativeness. The effort expectancy is the strongest predictor of the use intention 2) The gender has a moderating effect whileas the innovativeness has no moderating effect. For men, the stronger the effect of performance expectancy on the use intention and for women, the stronger the effect of social influence on the use intention.

  • Tourism information related to the selection and the images formation of tourist destinations is getting more important in tourism industry, and the problems of information overflow is also on the rise simultaneously. And this information overflow can affect the tourists' cognition, emotion and attitudes about tourism information. The objective of this study is to assess their information overload on tourism information on tourists' emotion, attitude and information searching effort. Data were collected from total 438 people with 224 people at public spaces in Seoul, Korea and 214 people at public spaces in Xi'an, China. This study conducts confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis and structural equation modelling to verifying 5 hypothesis related to information overflow. The main results of the study show that the cognition of information overload can lead to positive effect to tourists' positive emotion, attitude and searching effort.

Factors Affecting Information Protection Efforts for Preventing Deviant Behavior of Adolescent in Cyber Space (사이버 일탈행위 예방을 위한 개인 정보보호 노력의 영향요인 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the determinants of planned behavior of adolescent, toward information security and cyber crime prevention. A survey methodology was used to investigate a proposed model of influence, and regression analysis was used to analyze the results. The hypothesized model was largely supported by this analysis, and the overall results indicate that the intention to actively participate in information security and cyber crime prevention is mostly influenced by the fear for cyber crime and the perceived usefulness of information security and cyber crime prevention activity. In addition, it was found that the perceived easy of use for information-security related ICT skill, fear for cyber crime, and social norm for information security influence the level of usefulness, but that the prior experience with information leaking was statistically insignificant factor to the level of usefulness and fear for crime. Useful suggestions for promoting information security and cyber crime prevention are also provided.

Decision of Neural Network Architecture for Software Development Effort Estimation using Prior Information (사전 정보를 이용한 소프트웨어 개발노력 추정 신경망 구조 결정)

  • An increasingly important facet of software development is the ability to estimate the associate cost and effort of development early in the development life cycle. Most of the proposed models are based upon a combination of intuition, expert judgement, and regression analysis of empirical data. Overall, the work has failed to produce any single model that can be applied with a reasonable degree of success to a variety of environments. This paper presents a neural network (NN) model that related software development effort to software size measured in function element types. The heuristic approach is applied to decide the number of hidden neurons in NN from the relationship between input-output pairs. The research describes appropriate NN modeling in the context of a case study for 24 software development projects. Also, this paper compared the NN model with a regression analysis model and found the NN model has better accuracy.

  • Putnam develops SLIM (Software LIfecycle Management) model based upon the assumption that the manpower utilization during software project development is followed by a Rayleigh distribution. To obtain the manpower distribution, we have to be estimate the total development effort and difficulty ratio parameter. We need a way to accurately estimate these parameters early in the requirements and specification phase before investment decisions have to be made. Statistical tests show that system attributes are highly correlation (redundant) so that Putnam discards one and get a parameter estimator from the other attributes. But, different statistical method has different system attributes and presents different performance. To select the principle system attributes, this paper uses the principle component analysis (PCA) instead of Putnam's method. The PCA's results improve a 9.85 percent performance more than the Putnam's result. Also, this model seems to be simple and easily realize.

The Achievement of The Employment-oriented Welfare State (고용중심 복지국가의 고용과 재정 성과)

  • This study explores the effectiveness of employment-oriented welfare state by analyzing the mediating role of employment rate on the relationship between public welfare effort and fiscal soundness. Notably, this study considers the quality of employment into the analysis: part-time work, involuntary part-time work and low-wage work in analysis. The data sample consists of 18 OECD countries which initiated employment-oriented welfare strategy after the crisis of welfare state. An analysis was conduct based on Baron & Kenny(1986)'s method and panel two-stage model to handle the endogeneity problem. The results show that while the high level of public welfare effort negatively affects the fiscal soundness if it contributes to boosting employment rates, it has positive effects on the fiscal soundness. However, when the incidence of involuntary part-time employment and low-wage employment is high, the mediating impact of employment rate on the fiscal soundness disappears. This study argues that unless the quality of employment is taken into consideration, the positive effect of employment-oriented welfare state strategy to improve the fiscal soundness is not fully guaranteed.

Experienced Discrimination and Volunteering among the Second Baby Boom Generation - The Mediating Roles of Perceived Equal Opportunity and Achievement by Personal Merit (차별경험이 2차 베이비붐 세대의 자원봉사참여에 미치는 영향: 기회평등과 노력성취에 대한 인지적 평가를 중심으로)

  • In this study, we explored the relationship between experienced discrimination and volunteering activities among the $2^{nd}$ baby boom generation. Specifically, applying structural equation modeling, we examined how the effect of experienced discrimination on volunteering among the $2^{nd}$ baby boom generation is mediated by the negative perception of equal opportunity and achievement by personal merit. Data were obtained from the 2016 National Survey on Unequal Opportunity from the Circle Foundation. The research sample was comprised of 474 baby boomers ages 42 to 48 at the time of survey. Results indicated that perceived discrimination affects the level of volunteering among the $2^{nd}$ baby boom generation, through the negative perception of equal opportunity and achievement by personal merit. Based on the findings, we presented policy implications that could promote volunteering activities among the $2^{nd}$ baby boom generation.
