The purpose of this study is to investigate pre-service science teachers' difficulties in the 'inquiry mentoring' program, which was developed to improve pre-service science teachers' inquiry teaching ability. For this study, I developed the 'inquiry mentoring' program in which pre-service science teachers taught high school students. This program was adapted for 2.5 months, and 45 pre-service science teachers participated and taught 44 high school students. During this program, pre-service science teachers kept 'mentor diaries' and wrote 'mentoring reports' at the end of the program. Interviews were conducted with all pre-service science teachers. Results are as follows: first, pre-service science teachers thought that the difficulties in inquiry mentoring resulted from their inadequacy (mentor factor) than students' inadequacy (mentee factor). Second, pre-service science teachers perceived their lack of cognitive ability, inquiry ability and teaching ability as a mentor factor. Third, pre-service science teachers thought that they had difficulties in students' differences and lack of activity as a mentee factor. Fourth, they described difficulties caused by emotional distance as well as physical distance as an interaction factor. They also mentioned the difficulties related to teaching range and online interaction. Fifth, pre-service science teachers expressed a sense of frustration with the inquiry environment. Additionally, some implications were discussed for pre-service science teacher education through the 'inquiry mentoring' program.

The purpose of this study is to consider the influence of the French Royal Academy of Science on the European mapping of China in the eighteenth century. For this, the historical background of French Jesuits mission of mathematicians sent to China by Louis XIV in 1685 was examined. It was found that making astronomical observations for the determination of Chinese geographic coordinates was one important reason of the French Jesuit mission. Secondly, Cassini instructed the longitude determination method to the missionaries and they reported their survey results to the Academy as correspondence member. Thirdly, the cartographic materials they accumulated in the first state were not sufficient to change the map of China. But after 1700, the map of China was broken with the Ptolemaic tradition and the longitude of Peking was moved westward about $20^{\circ}$. This reduced the width of China. Fourthly, the French Jesuit contributed to the making of Huangyu quanlan tu. The manuscipt was sent to France and it was published in d'Anvill's atlas. And his map was used as a standard map of China for more than 100 years.

본 논문에서는 대한민국 국토에 대한 토지피복지도를 인공위성 영상으로부터 생성하는 기술을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 먼저 합성곱 신경망을 이용하여 인공위성 영상의 각 패치를 4 종류의 토지 용도로 분류한다. 이후 인공위성 영상과 토지 용도 분류 결과를 조건부 랜덤 필드에 적용하여 픽셀 단위로 색상과 질감이 유사한 영역을 같은 토지 용도로 분류될 수 있도록 하여 정확한 토지피복지도를 생성한다. 현재 대한민국 국토에 대한 토지피복지도 생성을 위해 구축된 데이터 세트가 없기 때문에 본 연구에서는 합성곱 신경망 학습을 위한 데이터 세트를 직접 구축하였다. 이를 위해 환경공간정보 서비스 웹사이트로부터 인공위성 영상을 취득하고, 각 영상을 패치 단위로 나누어 토지 용도를 직접 분류하였다. 실험 결과를 통해 제안하는 토지 용도 분류 합성곱 신경망의 성능을 평가하였으며, 최종 생성된 토지피복지도는 제안하는 방법이 효과적으로 토지 용도를 분류할 수 있음을 나타낸다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate teachers' perception about 'Science Field Trip(SFT) to Korean historical sites'. Ninety-seven teachers were asked to reply the questionnaire about SFT to Korean historical sites. This questionnaire was divided into three parts: educational value, teaching method, and difficulty of management. Firstly, teachers indicated that SFT to Korean historical sites had much educational value in that it could give students chances to understand Korean culture, to acquire investigative process skills, to experience divergent investigation and cooperative learning, to raise integrated thinking skill concerning science and other subjects, and to learn contents related with science curriculum. It also had advantages of caring for students out of school and giving the information for future occupation. Secondly, teachers suggested the desirable teaching method: teachers' explanation about SFT to Korean historical sites with worksheets before it, students' group work during it, and the presentation and discussion after it. Finally, the most frequent answer in the difficulty of management was the lack of teaching materialsfor SFT to Korean historical sites.
