The study is to investigate the effects of the constructivist instructional model using ARCS strategies (attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction) on the environmental conservation of environment textbooks of middle school. The subjects of this study were applied to 135 students sampled 2nd graders of a middle school in Busan. All students were divided three groups according to teaching strategies. The first experimental group is consisted of students who participated in the traditional teaching program, the second is students who participated in the constructivist teaching program, and the third is students who participated in the constructivist teaching program with ARCS strategies. The pre-conceptions test was administered to examine students' pre-conceptions before the instructions. After the instructions, students' acquisition of scientific conceptions, academic achievement, and learning motivation were also tested. On average, the degrees of academic achievement for the group with ARCS strategies were higher than those of other groups and shown a significant difference among three programs. Thus the constructivist teaching program with ARCS strategies was more effective programs in acquisition of environmental conservation conception and learning motivation than the two other teaching programs.

In this paper, an adaptive multimedia synchronization scheme for VOD (Video On Demand) services in internet environments is proposed. This scheme considers the characteristics of MPEG (Moving Picture Expert Group) system stream. Consequently, the intra-synchronization is handled at the pack layer, and the inter-synchronization is handled at the packet layer. The proposed scheme can cope adaptively with variation of packet loss, jitter and client's playback capacity. If there are variations of the packet loss or client's playback capacity, the server will change the transmission rate by selective picture skip. The client can then adjust and control the playback time according to the variation of the network jitter. Our experimental results show that the proposed scheme can quickly adapt to the network condition, and can guarantee a better quality of service than the other existing schemes.

This study intends to divide consumer's psychological attachment of pro-sport into the identification of attitudinal dimension and the identification of behavioral dimension. And then intends to examine the relationship effect between motivation variables associated with pro-sport team(concern with the team's ranking, ability of players, attraction of players) and inspection intention, sponsorship effect(sponsor brand attitude). Almost all previous studies measured such relationship at the fragmented level, then there were no previous studies on the complicated relationship between sport team and sponsorship. Because of mentioned facts, this study used structure equation model to verify such relationship. Briefly, verifying hypothesis is as follows. First, almost all motivations related to the team are connected behavioral identification through attitudinal identification. Second, when examining the relationship between psychological attachment and inspection intention, sponsorship brand attitude, psychological attachment had positive effect on inspection intention and sponsor brand attitude in the case of attitudinal identification, but it had positive effect on only inspection intention in the case of behavioral identification. Findings and corresponding implications are discussed & future research directions.

The purpose of this study were to identify the difference of demographic variables, motivation and dissatisfaction to purchase of groups who classified by frequency of purchase. Data were collected via intercept surveys conducted at nine regional branches of two major department stores situated in Seoul. Participants(n=1,120), who had previously purchased women's private brand apparel, were asked to complete a questionnaire. The results of this study were as follows; The subjects were classified into 3 groups by frequency of purchase and their demographic variables were analyzed. The customer groups of high frequency who were 18 to 39 years old had some college education, housewives and white collar workers. Their monthly household income is one to three million won and their monthly expenditure is 100,000 to 300,000 won on apparel shopping. The most important purchase motivation of lower frequency groups was design, whereas that of middle and high frequency groups was good quality over price.

Some process algebras were applied to enterprise business modelling for formal specification and verification. ${\pi}$-calculus and mobile ambient can be considered for the distributed and mobile, especially to represent the movements of distributed real-time business processes. However there are some limitations to model the movements: 1) ${\pi}$-calculus passes the name of port for indirect movements, and 2) mobile ambient uses ambient to synchronize asynchronous movements forcefully. As a solution to the limitations, this paper presents a new process algebra, called ${\delta}$-calculus, to specify direct and synchronous movements of business processes over geo-temporal space. Any violation of safety or security of the systems caused by the movements can be indicated by the properties of the movements: synchrony, priority and deadline. A tool, called SAVE, was developed on ADOxx metamodelling platform to demonstrate the concept.

This longitudinal study examines changing factors readers of online newspaper on 1999 and 2004. In terms of Users and Gratification approach, this survey explore changing what is motives of online newspaper readers, using and satisfying of online news during five years. The factor analysis of Online newspaper's reading motive statements yielded three interpretable factors: 'informativeness-convenience', 'inter-activity', 'entertainment'. First, 'informativeness-convenience' on 2004 was lower than '99 in online newspaper reading motives and satisfying, but factor of 'interactivity' and 'entertainment' measured thar 2004 was higher than '99 in chat of online newspaper. A level of reading online newspaper on 2004 is lower than '99, 'people' and 'opinion' is highest reading online newspaper item. Bur that of '99 is 'top news' and 'political news'. 'Top news', 'economics' and 'infor-mation/science' is highest satisfying level of online news item on '99, but that of order changed into 'people'. 'opinion' and 'broadcasting/enter-tainments' on 2004. In conclusion, this study shows online newspaper readers perceived interactive service and entertainment factor.

Races must be detected for debugging OpenMP programs with directives, because they may cause unintended nondeterministic results of programs. Intel Thread Checker, an existing tool that can detects races, can not verify the existence of races and is often time-consuming and tends to require large space. To solve these problems, we developed a tool that verifies the existence of races using user requirements and analyzed model of programs. However, the tool does not have optimal performance in programs which have no synchronization for interthread coordination. This paper presents an optimal tool that applies the optimum labeling and protocol for program models without interthread coordination. For synthetic programs without interthread synchronization, the tool verifies races over 250 times faster than the previous tool on the average, even if the maximum parallelism increases in every case of which the number of total accesses are identical.

The modern battlefield is being developed as a network-centric warfare where priority is given to rapid status grasp and power deployment through scientification and modernization. Therefore, tactical data link has been continuously improving the network speed, and recently, security technology is required for wireless communication with the UAV and various devices for reconnaissance. In addition, the future information warfare will utilize advanced IT technology positively. Efforts are needed to integrate various systems and networks. However, these efforts are meaningful only when they can assume sufficient security in a newly changing information and communication environment. In this paper, we propose a new cryptographic synchronization for link encryption suitable for tactical data links. The proposed cryptographic synchronization is useful for T4 UAV link encryption, and it is also adaptable for lower BER, then we analyze the performances analysis of that.

This study explores the relationships among franchisor's leadership style, franchisee's revenue, and commitment The main purpose of this study is when the causal relationship between leadership style and revenue to determine the mediating effect of commitment and when causal relationship between leadership style and commitment to determine the moderating effect of motivation. The results of the study show that franchisor's leadership styles are significantly related to franchisee's revenue. Although all leadership styles exhibit significant relationships with franchisee's revenue, only achievement oriented leadership style plays a significant role in the formation of franchisee's revenue. The level of franchisee's intrinsic motivation is significantly moderated between franchisor's supportive leadership style and commitment. It is also revealed that commitment exhibit complete or partial mediation effect in the relationships between franchisor's all leadership style and franchisee's revenue. Implications and future research directions are also discussed.

Hardware based dynamic voltage and frequency scaling is a promising technique to reduce power consumption in a globally asynchronous locally synchronous system such as a homogeneous or heterogeneous multi-core system. In this paper, FPGA prototype design of hardware based dynamic frequency scaling is proposed. The proposed techniques are applied to a FIFO based multi-core system for a software defined radio and Network-on-Chip based hardware MPEG2 encoder. Compared with a references system using a single global clock, the first prototype design reduces the power consumption by 78%, but decreases the performance by 5.9%. The second prototype design shows that power consumption decreases by 29.1% while performance decreases by 0.36%.
