  • Development of digital media and computer graphics related research had changed the overall stream of cultural art and our daily life, as well as its development also had an effect on a fresh and exciting area of cultural arts such as the new media art, interactive art and real-time performing. In this paper, we used emotional expression techniques that they lead audiences on the process of natural communication by combining the particle system of computer graphics with performance based screen art. In this paper, we used emotional expression techniques that they lead audiences on the process of natural communication by combining the particle system of computer graphics with performance based screen art. Namely, by capturing the creation and location speed of particle which is synchronized between the sound, behavior and particles, performance based screen art as the form of the experimental structure in which is combined with scientific technology and art is therefore proposed.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a basic theory of photogeography. There is a close relationship between photos and fine arts, but lots of differences. For examples photos are arts of cognition, analytic media and time. Geographic photos are photos useful for geography. Geographic-photos are a kinds of academic photos which deals with special meaning of geographic phenomena and cognition of the certain area. According to the nature the photos available for geography, can be grouped into geographic photos and general photos. Geographical ideas, photographical skills and artistic senses are necessary to the photogeographers. Geographic photos are useful for research and educational Purpose. The aspect of research is related to the systematic geography, for example ; geomorphology, historical geography etc. In conclusion, to the photo geographer the geographic idea is more necessary than the skill of photography.

  • This article intends to shed a light on the British architect Arthur S. Dixon (1856-1929). He is largely regarded as a pioneer of the English Art and Craft Movement, yet his works are not widely known nor carefully studied. In search of Dixon's architectural characteristics, this paper examined three notable buildings that he designed at the turn of the nineteenth century; Birmingham Guildhall, St. Andrews church and St. Basil's Church. These buildings were erected relatively early in his career as an architect, although he never fully immersed into the profession due to his commitment in family business management. His architectural design shows unique qualities of Art and Craft movement in terms of use of material, spatial arrangement, techniques, and craftsmanship while employing Romanesque as most relevant historic style for ecclesiastical purposes.

  • These Study for meaning of Skirt Exhibition of Prada who has originality about minimalism, anti design. Her special characteristics of modern design world is very trendy. The latest trend which is deconstruction, nonos tribe, techno-functional of Prada style showed her exhibition. It was very meaningful about Prada fashion and modern design and culture. The various fused fashion items and genres are normally observed in the skirt exhibition. Besides interpretation of light and movement, novelty of modern design would be guided to the exit of modern culture and art, which haver to answer to th e continuous questions.

  • Painting is well regarded as a stratified structure by the conservators and restorers. Hence, the scientific methods have been developed for the study of the interal layer of paintings. Examples of such methods are X-ray, infra-red, and ultra-violet photography. A more direct method is to look at the painting in cross section under the microscope and to analyze pigments using an electron probe X-ray micro analyzer(EPMA).In this research, I study and analyze twenty two Korean paintings of self-portraits including the first oil painting of Hui Dong Koh's self-portrait stored in the museum of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, employing these scientific techniques. The small fragments taken from the ground layers of the early oil paintings(1915∼1942)are analyzed using the EPMA. According to their main materials, the ground layers can be classified into five types ; 1. Lead white layer and double layer of calcium carbonate and lead white, 2. Zinc white with some mixiture of lead white, 3.Titanium white with some barium white, 4. Barium white, 5.Double layer of titanium white and zinc white.

  • This paper proposes a methodology of expanding the mind in multi-disciplinary ways through STEAM education program based on science and art. The paper aims at analyzing both the analog- an digital-based emotional expressions experienced by students. Students use digital visualization technology using linguistic tool as well as sense of vision, hearing and touching. This is a STEAM education program designed for high school students and called "Kandinsky, Drawing the Sound". Kandinsky was a prominent proponent of synesthesia and through his artwork, students can learn how to express and develop synesthetic senses. Through this STEAM program, students are empowered to express diverse emotions reconstructed through plays, stories and synesthesia.

  • This study was conducted to organize a program to classify and analyze the characteristics of images for the automation of background music selection in the video content production process. The results and contents of the study are as follows: video characteristics are selected as subject category, emotion, pixel motion speed, color, and character material. Subject categories and feelings were extracted using Microsoft's Azure Video Indexer, Pixel Movement Speed was an Optional flow, Color was an Image Histogram for Image, and character materials was CNN(Convolutional Neural Network). The results of this study are significant in that video analysis was conducted to match background music in the recent content production process of 'Internet One-person Broadcasting Creators'.

  • The characteristics of products and services that induce natural activities of people, namely affordances, play critical roles in making interactions successful and meaningful. Earlier a methodological framework for design for affordances has been devised where repositories of affordance features are used. Affordance features are retrieved from the repository so that the new affordance feature is to be designed through an analogical reasoning. In two classes of Product-Service Systems Design education, this design for affordance method has been introduced in a tutorial setting for designing a hand carrier cart. This paper describes how the method was introduced and shows new affordance features in their design proposals with source affordance features retrieved from the repository. Implications obtained from this tutorial effort are discussed to enrich practical application of the design for affordance method. The study tries to suggest new product design method by using affordance feature repository.

  • Cooperation and participation in Local Expo by local residents as a Mega event is critically important to maximize the effectiveness of event. By studying on residents' expectation and on whether the expectation affects to their making decision for their attitude, we tried to draw the basis for successful operation of local expo. In conclusion, the result of analysis shows that local residents' expectation on Expo affects positively and meaningfully to their intention and attitude to cooperation and participation.

  • A Product-Service Systems (PSS) is composed of service and product element to provide values for relevant stakeholders. A typical service interaction involves providers and receivers, and respective values are provided in a social interaction. In cases, more than one providers are interacting with a receiver. In others, service interaction is happening in a public manner where social issues amang peer receivers are important. When service channel is supported by physical touchpoints, receivers would interact with products, which may interact with providers. Thus, in PSS, a various kinds of interactions occur in diverse social contexts. A simple representation method for social contexts is introduced where service providers, receivers and products are represented as nodes and interaction between them are represented as directed edges. Social context of several PSS examples are described with this. In booth designing and operating PSS, social context representations could be used in analyzing and comparing key aspects of social interaction types to retrieve similar cases to exploit related interaction design strategies and operation know-hows.
