과학로켓 3호(KSR-3) 자력계 데이터 분석을 통한 로켓비행자세 연구

  • 과학로켓 3호에 탑재된 자력계의 데이터 분석을 통해서 로켓의 비행자세가 어떻게 비행시간에 따라 어떻게 변화했는지에 대해 논한다. 과학로켓 3호에 탑재된 로켓의 비행 자세 정보 획득을 위한 Fluxgate 자력계인 Attitude Information Magnetometer (AM)의 데이터 분석을 통해 로켓의 비행시간동안 자세가 어떻게 변화했는지 수치해석 프로그램 및 시뮬레이션을 통해 알아보았다 본 연구에서 사용한 수치해석 프로그램은 Spline 보정법, 다항식 수치법인 Bairstow Method, Least square method이며, 자체 개발한 로켓비행정보 획득용 프로그램과 OpenGL을 이용한 로켓의 3차원 시뮬레이션을 통해서 과학로켓 3호의 자세를 나타내는 roll, pitch, yaw의 변화를 알아보았다. 그리고, 이 결과를 이용하여 자력계가 자세제어에 적합한지도 분석하였다.

  • Korea Sounding Rocket(KSR)-III onboard telemetry system has acquired various data from subsystems and sensors in the rocket, and radiated PCM/FM data using two S-band antennas during the flight. Simultaneously, it is necessary that the ground receiving systems track the rocket, and receive and decode telemetry data. Also post processed telemetry data are needed to be broadcasted on ethernet network in real time. Range safety display system displays flight trajectory using telemetry data in mission control center, and so flight manager makes a decision for flight termination from the trajectory This paper describes operating technique about telemetry reception, the development for the realtime data processing system, and the results for telemetering reception on fight test. We telemetered, processed, and broadcasted numerous telemetry data during the flight test successfully.

  • This paper describes the re-design and the calibration results of the MAG digital circuit onboard the KSR-3. We enhanced the sampling rate of magnetometer data. Also, we reduced noise and increased authoritativeness of data. We could confirm that AIM resolution was decreased less than InT of analog calibration by a digital calibration of magnetometer. Therefore, we used numerical-program to correct this problem. As a result, we could calculate correction and error of data. These corrections will be applied to magnetometer data after the launch of KSR-3.

  • A ground firing test facility for Liquid Rocket Engine(LRE) combustor was built in Korea Aerospace Research Institute(KARI) in 2001 to support the development of the first Korean LRE for the KSR-III. About 170 tests were conducted up to date since its establishment and in the meantime a considerable improvements were made in the facility capability. This paper describes the outline, conducted tests and operation techniques which have been acquired through the operation of the test facility.

  • A Liquid Rocket Engine(LRE) ground firing test facility was built in Korea Aerospace Research Institute(KARI) in 2001 to develop the LRE for the first Korean liquid rocket, KSR-III. Around 170 tests were conducted since its establishment until recently by September 2006, and in the meantime, a considerable improvements were made in the capability. This paper describes the outline, conducted tests and operation techniques which have been accumulated through the operation of KARI LRE ground firing test facility.

  • 국가우주개발 중장기 계획에 의거, 독자 인공위성 발사체 개발에 필요한 필수기술을 확보하기 위하여 액체추진제 로켓엔진의 개발에 대한 필요성이 대두되었으며, 이에 따라 한국항공우주연구소는 과학로켓 3호(KSR-III)에 적용하기 위한 액체추진기관을 개발하고 있다. 이러한 목적으로 kerosine/LOx를 사용하며 13톤급의 추력을 낼 수 있는 시제엔진이 설계, 제작되었으며 이 엔진에 대한 연소시험이 실시되었다. 본 연구에서는 액체추진기관 시험을 위한 일련의 진행사항, 시험방법을 소개하며, 시험을 통하여 획득한 정특성 자료 및 동특성 자료에 대하여 분석하였다.(중략)

  • Based on the national space development project, the necessity of developing liquid propellant rocket engine is revealed to secure the basic technology for the development of individual artificial-satellite launcher. Consequently, KARI (Korea Aerospace Research Institute) is developing a liquid propellant rocket engine for the KSR-III. Currently, a prototype engine using kerosene/LOx which produces 13-ton thrust is designed, fabricated and tested. In this paper, test procedure and technique for liquid propellant rocket engine are introduced with the analysis of static and dynamic test data.

'컬럼비아호' 공중폭발의 미스터리

  • 컬럼비아호는 처음 만들어졌을 때 순수한 선체무게만 7만 1800kg이었으며 메일 엔진이 장착된 후에는 8만 741kg에 달했다. 전체 길이는 56.1m이며 승무원이 타는 오비터와 외부연료탱크, 고체연료 로켓 부스터 등으로 구성돼 있다. 20여 년간 27차례의 우주비행을 하면서 우주개발과 과학연구에 커다란 업적을 남긴 컬럼비아호는 지난 1월 16일 28번째 우주비행에 나섰다가 지구 착륙을 불과 10분도 남겨놓지 않은 상태에서 공중 산화했다.
