광복 이전에 설립된 조선기술연맹섬유산업회를 모태로 1964년 사단법인으로 출범한 한국섬유공학회는 정회원 3천여명으로 해마다 학술발표회와 기술세미나를 여는 등 왕성한 학술활동을 하고 있다. 한국섬유학회 회원들은 분야별로 연구활동을 계속하면서 고급기술인력 확보와 산ㆍ학ㆍ연 협력체제의 활성화를 위해서도 노력하고 있다.

모든 생물이 갖고 있는 천적과의 상호작용을 체계적으로 연구하여 해충방제에 새로운 길을 열고 있는 유문일 교수가 이달의 과학자로 선정되었다. 유교수는 "우리는 농업분야에 우수한 인력들이 모일 수 있는 사회적 분위기를 만들어야 하며 농업인들의 자부심과 긍지를 높여가는 분위기가 시급하다"고 말하고 있다.

Many institutes and organizations carrying out the national R&D projects have and use the expert pool database at each need. But there is lack of human resources information about expert in science and technology part for many policy planning and committee activity, also most of the expert pools are scattered on several database systems. So it is necessary to manage systematically the human resources informations about scientific expert. As the committeeman assignment and committee findings management are conducted by the off-line method, there are wastes of time and labor in committeeman assignment process and committee history management. Therefore we need to provide an effective and automatic process for committeeman assignment and management. In this paper, we construct a database for expert pool who can be used in committee activity or policy planning, and implement a system that services committee management and committeeman assignment process. The human information retrieval service of this system is based on the KRISTAL-2002, an information retrieval and management system developed by KISTI.

This study aims to develop and apply a metaverse-based instructional design model for the education in science and technology. It analyzed the concept and characteristics of metaverse, existing non-contact education models, and major teaching strategies systematically. Based on the prior researches, an instructional design model using metaverse is developed that presents metaverse-related teaching strategies and design principles for the before-, during-, and after-lesson phases. Then, this model was applied to a project-based learning program, conducted a perception survey on instructors and learners, and revised the metaverse instructional design model based on the results of the survey. In the Metaverse Instructional Design Model, before-lesson phase is a physical and psychological preparation stage for class participation, which includes familiarization with the Metaverse learning environment, formation of expectations for education, and self-directed pre-learning. During the lesson, to effectively deliver the lesson content, it is necessary to build confidence in the learning environment, promote learning participation, provide reference materials, perform team projects and provide feedback, digest learning content, and transfer learning content. The after-lesson phase provides strategies for ongoing interaction between learners and mentors. This study introduces a new instructional design model that utilizes metaverse and shows the potential of metaverse-based education in science and technology. It also has important implications in that it provides practical guidelines for the effective design and implementation of metaverse-based education.

최근 서울대 총장에 취임한 이기준박사는 "21세기의 사회지도층은 다재다능한 사람보다 전문가로 형성돼야 하며 국가경영도 자연과학도들이 그 축을 이뤄야한다."고 말했다. 본지와의 회견에서 이총장은 "국가는 기술로 흥하고 기술로 망하기 때문에 우수한 과학기술인력을 육성하고 배출하는 것은 국가발전의 기본이다"라고 강조했다. 이총장은 또 "교수채용때도 현장경력자를 우대하는 시스템 접근이 필요하다"고 덧붙였다.
