  • Electro sensitive traffic system can not consider passenger car unit, so it causes start up delay time and passenger waiting time. In this paper, it antecedently creates passenger car unit at the bottom intersection using neural network. But, sometimes it can make mistakes due to changes in car weight, car speed, and passing area. Therefore, it consequently reduces the car waiting time and start-up delay time using fuzzy control of feed-back data. Moreover, to prevent spillback, it can adapt control even though upper traffic intersection has a different saturation rate, road length, road slope and road width.

  • 다이아몬드형 인터체인지는 고속도로와 노면가로가 교차할 경우 방향별 교통류를 처리하는데 보편적으로 사용하는 인터체인지이다. 인터체인지에 교통량의 부하가 과도해지 면 인터체인지내부의 교차로에서 발생한 대기차량이 종종 고속도로본선으로 역류하여 본선 의 교통소통에 문제를 야기하며 특히 고속도로의 안전에도 큰 위험요소가 된다. 본 논문은 과포화상태의 다이아몬드형 인터체인지의 교통신호제어를 다루며, 신호시간계획을 산출하는 동적 최적화모형(dynamic optimization model)을 제시한다. 최적화 모형은 지체도최소화를 목적함수로 하며, 함수계측법의 형태가 된다. 본 모형의 핵심은 신호제어에 따라 발생하는 대기차량길이를 모형화하여 대기차량길이가 정해진 상한치를 초과하지 않도록 하는 신호시 간계획을 산출하는데 있다. 제시된 동적모형은 다이아몬드형 인터체인지의 신호시간을 위하 여 널리 사용되는 PASSER III와 최적해를 상호 비교한다. TRAF-NETSIM을 통한 시뮬레이 션의 결과에 따르면 동적 모형이 우수한 결과를 보이며, 대기차량의 길이를 효과적으로 제 어하는 것으로 판명된다.

On the Introduction of the Internal Metering Policy in COSMOS (서울시 실시간 신호제어시스템(COSMOS)내 내부미터링 제어전략 도입 방안)

  • Internal metering policy(IMP) is a control strategy to improve the quality of traffic flow within a network by avoiding queue spillback or intersection blockage. It is a more aggressive control strategy than the current control strategy employed in COSMOS. A preliminary study was made to incorporate the IMP logic within the COSMOS system to improve its' functionality at oversaturated conditions. From the study results, a set of guideline for real implementation was recommended : traffic conditions, detector configurations, and control procedures, etc. A simulation study was performed to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed guidelines. It was shown that the occurrence of queue spillback was minimized. and overall network performance was also improved by applying IMP logic as compared to COSMOS control onl.

  • A novel approach based on a nonlinear compensator is prposed to prevent 'windup', which is caused by the saturation of the acutator and the integral action of the controller. The anti-windup compensator is located between the conventional linear controller, designed neglecting the saturation, and the actuator. It was proven based on the describing function method that, if the closed loop control systems are stable assuming no saturation, then there may exist a range of compensator gain which prevents any limit-cycle. The computer simulation results show that the compensator proposed in the manuscript can eliminate the limit cycle and improve the transient response.

  • This paper aims to develop an integrated urban freeway exit-intersection actuated traffic signal control strategy based on which a real-time detection of queue at each of an exit-ramp and an arterial. To evaluate effects of the proposed actuated traffic signal control according to various traffic situations and geometric conditions, this paper analyzed the effects of the proposed traffic signal control strategy according to traffic situations such as the occasion of the arterial being saturated, the occasion of the exit-ramp being saturated, and the occasion of both the arterial and the exit-ramp being saturated. To reflect geometric conditions that influence the effects of the control strategy, this paper evaluated effects before and after applying the actuated traffic signal control strategy according to six cases for both above and under the downstream link length of 200m as proposed by COSMOS. The study results shown that when the link length above 200m, offered a greater effect of applying the actuated traffic control strategy than below 200m. Thus, the actuated traffic signal control through a real-time detection of queue is expected to offer a greater effect at longer downward link.

  • Existing real-time signal control system was brought up typical problems which are supersaturated condition, point detection system and loop detection system. For that reason, the next generation signal control system of advanced form is required. Following thesis aimed at calculating queue length for the next generation signal control system to utilize basic parameter of signal control in crossing queue instead of the volume of real-time through traffic. Overflow saturated condition which was appeared as limit of existing system was focused to set-up range. Real-time location information of individual vehicle which is collected by GPS data. It converted into the coordinate to apply shock wave model with an linear equation that is extracted by regression model applied by a least square. Through the calculated queue length and link length by contrast, If queue length exceed the link, queue of downstream intersection is included as queue length that upstream queue vehicle is judeged as affecting downstream intersection. In result of operating correlation analysis among link travel time to judge confidence of extracted queue length, Both of links were shown over 0.9 values. It is appeared that both of links are highly correlated. Following research is significant using real-time data to calculate queue length and contributing to signal control system.

  • 최근 IC 설계 및 제조 기술의 급격한 진보에 따라 PC 보급이 포화상태에 이르면서 가전제품으로서 첨단을 자랑하던 PC가 일반 가정에서 TV의 보급률과 비슷해지며 대중화에 되어가고 있다. 이에 따라 임베디드 시스템 기술이 PC뿐 아니라 정보 가전, 정보 단말, 통신 장비, 항공, 군사, 물류, 금융, 차량, 교통, 사무 사업 제어 의료 등 전 분야에 걸쳐 다양하게 적용되고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 임베디드 시스템에서의 여러 디바이스를 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 한 가지 기법으로 프레임버퍼를 이용한 디바이스 통합 제어 모듈을 설계 및 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 기법은 임베디드 시스템에서 사용자 인터페이스로만 부각되던 LCD 화면을 통해서 임베디드 시스템의 각종 디바이스를 진단하고 제어할 수 있게 하여 특별한 외부 장치 없이 곧바로 디버깅이 가능하도록 하였다.

  • 스칼라 제어에 속하는 V/F 방식은 기본파 전압의 실효값과 주파수를 독립변수로 하여 평균적인 토크를 제어함으로 제어가 쉽고 구현이 간단하여 산업계에서 널리 쓰이고 있다. 그러나 주파수의 변화에 따라서 전동기 내부 임피던스도 변화하기 때문에 단순히 주파수만을 가변 하는 것만으로는 약계자에 의한 토오크 부족이나 과여자에 의한 여자 포화등에 의해 역률과 효율이 떨어진다. 또한 순시적인 토오크 제어가 불가능하여 전동기의 고성능 제어가 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 벡터제어를 적용한 엘리베이터 도어용 유도전동기 구동 시스템을 제안하고 실험을 통해 그 성능을 확인하였다.
