  • 2성분계 혼합물(1,2-dichloropropane + 2-methoxyethanol)에 대해 과잉몰 부피(excess molar volumes) $V^E$ 및 과잉 몰엔탈피(excess molar enthalpies) $H^E$를 298.15K에서 측정하였다. 혼합물의 밀도측정은 digital vibrating tube densimeter를 이용하였고, 과잉 몰엔탈피는 isothermal flow microcalorimeter를 이용하였다. 측정한 과잉 몰부피는 전 조성 영역에서 양의 편차를 나타내었으며, 과잉 몰엔탈피는 S 자형용 보였다. 또한 얻어진 data는 Nelder- Mead의 simplex method를 이용하여 Redlich-Kister 다항식에 접합 (fitting)하였다.

Zero In ated Poisson Model for Spatial Data (영과잉 공간자료의 분석)

  • A Poisson model is the first choice for counts data. Quasi Poisson or negative binomial models are usually used in cases of over (or under) dispersed data. However, these models might be unsuitable if the data consist of excessive number of zeros (zero inflated data). For zero inflated counts data, Zero Inflated Poisson (ZIP) or Zero Inflated Negative Binomial (ZINB) models are recommended to address the issue. In this paper, we further considered a situation where zero inflated data are spatially correlated. A mixed effect model with random effects that account for spatial autocorrelation is used to fit the data.

  • Zero-Inflated Poisson distributions have been widely used for defect-free products in manufacturing processes. It is very interesting to check the shift after the unknown changepoint. If the detectives are caused by the two different types of factor, we should use bivariate zero-inflated model. In this paper, likelihood ratio tests were used to detect the shift of changes after the changepoint. Some inferences for the parameters in this model were made.

  • Supernumerary teeth are found frequently in the dental office causing many dental complications. They are one of the many dental abnormalities that may occur during tooth development. Inversely impacted supernumerary teeth in the midpalatal area are especially important clinically because they occur with high frequency and many complications. Though many previous clinical and radiographical studies exist, the sample numbers were small and the evaluation of shape, location, and effects to its surrounding tissue may not be accurate due to the solitary use of intraoral radiographs or panoramic radiographs. Among the patients who visited department of pediatric dentistry, yonsei dental hospital, from July, 1998 to June, 2002, those with inversely impacted supernumerary teeth took computerized tomography for a more accurate diagnosis. Their dental chart, panoramic radiograph and computerized tomography were evaluated for this study. The number, form, convexity, location, distance, and complications of inversely impacted supernumerary teeth in the midpalatal area were recorded. This study show that when the supernumerary teeth is tuberculated with a curved root and is in close proximity to the adjacent teeth, it causes complications such as eruption disturbance, rotation, displacement of adjacent teeth, and diastema. Such factors must be considered in making decisions for diagnosis and treatment.

  • 본 연구에서는 수정 Cam Clay 모델과 혼합체 커플링 이론(coupled theory of mixtures)을 이용하여 피에조콘 관입시험을 해석하여 지반의 투수계수와 과잉간극수압의 정량적 관계를 고찰하였다. 본 연구의 이론적 해석 결과는 시험결과들과 비교하였으며 그 결과 피에조콘 관립 시험시 관측된 과잉간극수압은 지반의 투수계수가 $10^{-9}$m/sec에서 $10^{-6}$m/sec의 범위에서는 투수계수에 따라 피에조콘 관립 시험시 관측된 과잉간극수압이 현저하게 변하는 것으로 나타나 피에조콘 관입시험시 관측한 과잉간극수압을 이용하여 지반의 투수계수를 결정할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 지반의 투수계수가 $10^{-9}$m/sec 이하에서는 지반이 거의 완전 비배수 상태에 가까운 거동을 나타내면, 투수계수가 $10^{-6}$m/sec 이상에서는 거의 완전 배수상태에 가까운 거동을 하는 것으로 나타났다.으로 나타났다.

  • In case of Zero-Inflated Poisson model with a change-point, likelihood ratio test statistic was used for testing hypothesis for a change-point. A change-point and several interesting parameters were estimated by using the method of moments and maximum likelihood. In order to compare the estimators, empirical mean-square-error was used. Real data for the Zero-Inflated Poisson model with a change-point and Poisson model without a change-point were examined.

SEM/EDS Analysis of the Enamel in Mesiodens (정중 과잉치 법랑질의 SEM/EDS 분석)

  • The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the microstructural properties and mineralization quality of mesiodens with permanent and primary central incisors. Fifteen mesiodens, permanent and primary central incisors were collected. The enamel rod diameter and enamel thickness were observed and measured using field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). Chemical composition of the enamel was analyzed using energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS). The measurements were then assessed using the one-way ANOVA and Tukey test. There was no statistically significant difference in the enamel rod diameter between mesiodens and permanent central incisors. However, enamel rods of primary central incisors were smaller than remaining two groups. The thickness of enamel was thick in order of permanent central incisors, mesiodens, primary central incisors. In the composition analysis using EDS, there was no difference in the Ca/P ratio and Ca/C ratio between mesiodens and permanent central incisors, but small in primary central incisors. In conclusion, the microstructural properties of mesiodens were more similar to those of permanent central incisors compared to primary central incisors. Futher, the mineralization quality of mesiodens did not differ significantly from that of permanent central incisors.

Qualitative Analysis of Medical Usage Patterns of Medical Aid Patients (의료급여환자의 의료이용행태에 관한 질적 분석)

  • This was a qualitative study on medical aid patients to understand the cause and process of statistical difference of health service utilization between medical aid and health insurance patients. The main results were the following; 1) There was few overuse of health service in medical aid patients. The reason of heavy utilization was mainly due to the complicated disease. Some of them were considered to overuse physical therapy and oriental acupuncture. 2) In case of medical aid patients, medical cost was paid by their welfare benefit of government or by the support of family or neighbors. They usually could not adequately use the services of uninsured benefit or large hospitals due to the cost. Some patients just endured the pain. There was still discrimination for medical aid patients in some medical institutions. 3) The health officials and institutions did not provide sufficient information to medical aid patients about the policy of medical cost support. 4) Health policies, such as selective clinic system, medial aid case management, approval of extended care, were considered to contribute in preventing unnecessary use of health service. However, this might limit adequate use of medical aid service. In conclusion, there is little evidence of overuse of health service for medical aid patients, which is different from the previous studies. A new plan is necessary, because medical aid patients thought that the necessary health service was not accessible to them.

Excess Methanol Recovery and Reuse in Biodiesel Production from Animal Fat & Oil (동물성 오일의 전처리 반응 메탄올 재활용 연구)

  • 바이오디젤 대체 원료로서 폐돈지, 폐우지를 이용한 오일 추출 및 바이오디젤 생산 반응을 진행하고 이때 사용되는 과잉 메탄올의 회수 및 재사용에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 추출된 오일의 상태에 따라 전처리를 위한 에스테르화 반응여부를 판단하게 되지만 에스테르화 반응과 전이에스테르화 반응 모두에서 상당량의 과잉 메탄올을 투입하게 된다. 에스테르화 반응에서는 이론량보다 20~50배 가량을 투입하고 전이에스테르화 반응에서는 오일:메탄올 이론 몰비인 3:1 보다 2~4배 가량을 이용하게 된다. 에스테르화 반응에 사용되는 촉매는 균질계 액체 산 촉매와 불균질계 고체 산 촉매가 이용될 수 있으며 본 연구에서는 황산을 이용한 에스테르화 반응을 실시하였으며 전이에스테르화 반응에서는 KOH를 촉매로 이용하였다. 각각의 공정에 사용된 과잉 메탄올의 재이용 방안을 조사하였으며 메탄올을 단증류를 통해 회수하는 방법과 회수된 메탄올을 이용한 에스테르화 반응 및 전이에스테르화 반응을 실시해 반응성을 조사하였다. 이를 통해 미반응 과잉메탄올의 회수 정제시 메탄올의 최대 수분함량(%) 허용치를 결정할 수 있었다. 회수된 메탄올을 재이용함에 따라 바이오디젤 생산비 중의 원료(메탄올) 및 설비비 절감이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

Liquefaction in Seabeds and Stability of Coastal Structure Foundations (해저지반의 액상화와 해안구조물 기초의 안정성)

  • 해안구조물 설치시 기초지반의 안정성 해석을 위한 파랑에 기이한 액상화 메카니즘을 과잉간극수압(excess pore pressure) 현상과 관련하여 논의하였다. 과잉간극수압 발생 메커니즘에 있어서 두 가지 형태, 즉 변동과잉간극수압 (Oscillatory excess pore pressure) 및 잔류과잉간극수압 (Residual excess pore pressure) 각각에 기인한 액상화의 특성을 구명하였다. 또한, 과잉간극수압 및 해저지반의 액상화 가능성에 대한 평가공정을 제시하였는데 이는 모형실험과 현장관측자료에 의해 그 적용성이 검증되었다. 이러한 평가공정(Assessment Procedures)은 투수성 해저/기초 지반의 액상화를 추정하는데 이용될 수 있다. 해안구조물 기초 설계 및 해저 지반의 안정성 평가시 액상화의 가능성 또는 과잉간극수압의 적절한 평가.고려가 무엇보다 중요하다고 사료된다.
