Current Status and the Way Forward for Fruit Harvesting Mechanization (과수 수확작업 기계화 현황 및 추진방향)

  • 연구목적: 국내 과일 산업의 한 단계 도약과 대외 경쟁력을 높이기 위해서는 수확작업의 기계화가 시급함. 이 연구는 국내외 과일 수확 기계화 현황과 문제점을 분석하고, 향후 수확작업 기계화 방향을 제시하고자 수행 수확기계 실용화 현황 및 고찰 (국내) 과일을 직접 수확이 아닌 수확 작업을 보조해주는 고지 작업기(수동형, 모터 진동형)와 고소 작업차가 대부분임. 수동형은 사과 감 등을 수확하지만, 작업능률이 낮고 작업자가 쉽게 피로하여 장시간 작업이 불가능하므로 실질적인 대안이 되지 못함. 진동형은 자체 동력을 이용하여 나무에 진동을 가하여 주로 대추 매실 등 소과류 수확에 이용되고, 수확능률은 우수하나 충격 손상이 많아 개선이 요구됨. 고소작업차는 동력원에 따라 충전식과 엔진식으로 구분되고, 충전식은 엔진식에 비해 진동 소음이 적어 쾌적하지만, 작업시간이 배터리 용량에 제한을 받음. 또한 작업대 작동방식에 따라 리프트형과 붐형으로 구분함. 리프트형은 리프트를 이용하여 작업대를 상하로 구동하는 방식으로 높은 위치의 과실 수확이 어렵고, 작업대 넓이 만큼의 작업 공간(과수간의 거리)이 필요함. 붐형은 필요한 곳으로 접근성이 우수하나 무거운 무게를 지탱하기 어렵기 때문에 본체를 무겁게 하거나 수시로 수확된 과일을 하차시켜야 함. (국외) 수확 후 가공되는 과일류와 포도 올리브 오렌지 매실 등 소과류 수확이 기계화되었지만, 사과 복숭아 등 신선과일은 아직도 외국의 값싼 노동자들에 의존하여 수확되고 있음. 현재 실용화된 수확 기계는 진동식 수확기계와 터널식 수확기계가 대표적임. 진동식은 집게형의 부착기를 나무 줄기에 고정한 후 트랙터 동력원으로 나무에 진동을 가하여 수확하고, 올리브 대추 등과 같은 소과류와 과피가 두꺼운 오렌지 등에 적용되고, 수확 작업능률이 매우 높으나 과일의 낙하 상처를 피할 수 없는 단점이 있음. 터널형은 규격화(과수 크기 및 형태, 재식거리)된 과수원에 잘 적응하도록 설계 제작되어, 과수 위를 지나가면서 내부에 설치된 진동장치와 컨테이너로 과일을 수확하고, 와인용 포도 수확기가 대표적임. 기계수확이 가능하도록 과수원 조성단계에서부터 재배양식(과수 좌우 및 전후 거리)을 기계의 제원(바퀴 간격, 작업부 간격 등)에 맞추어 재배함. 과일 수확로봇에 관한 연구는 활발하고 일부에서 실증시험단계에 있음. 결론: 구체적인 추진방향을 제시하면, 단기적으로는 과일 수확작업자의 작업편이성과 노동강도를 줄일 수 있도록 소형 저가 범용성이 우수한 보조기구/기계의 보급을 확대하고, 중장기적으로는 수확기계/수확로봇 개발을 위한 연구개발비 투자를 늘리는 동시에, 기계/로봇이 과수원에 잘 적응할 수 있도록 수형 재식거리 등 재배양식의 표준화가 추진되어야 함.

A Study on Stability Estimation of a Orchard Vehicle using Multi-Body Dynamic and Finite Element Analysis (다물체 동역학 및 유한요소 해석을 통한 과수원용 작업차량 안정성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • Because of effective fruit growing and management in the slope land, the use of orchard vehicle with lifting utilities has been increased. For this reason the study on the stability of that vehicle for worker's safety is needed. This study is investigated on the stability estimation of orchard vehicle with four wheels and dual rectangular-type lifting utilities which can be moved on the dirt sloping load. Through the multi-body dynamics analysis on the vehicle mechanism, overturning angles of 19.2 and $34.6^{\circ}$ in the right-left and front-rear direction can be calculated. It is determined tractive resistances and required powers of the wheels. And through the finite element analysis on the frame of lifting utility its maximum von-Mises stress is 146 MPa and it is structural stable. Therefore it is known that the orchard vehicle with wheels and lifting utilities has static and dynamic stability.

  • This study was carried out for the production of aerial work machinery in high place in the orchard. In the case of orchards, there are many unpaved roads and sloping grounds to solve the problem of overturning or safety problems when working in a orchard. For more stable operation, an automatic leveling system was designed. During the structural analysis, the horizontal sensor was installed in addition to the standard that we wanted. Based on the INVENTOR, the structural analysis through 3D modeling showed that the maximum tilt of the worker was 116.49Mpa on the left and 118.26Mpa on the right.

  • 한국은 국토의 약 70%정도가 산지이고 약 25%정도가 평지로 구성되어 있으며 산업화, 도시화로 인해 농경지가 줄어들고 있는 실정이다. 그래서 식량자급이 어렵게 되어 수입 의존도가 증가할 것이므로 경사지를 이용하여 농경지를 확대하여야 하겠다. 건설부 토지분류에서 전 국토면적의 경사도중 5$^{\circ}$ 미만은 약 21.1%이므로 5$^{\circ}$ 이상의 토지인 78.9%중 농경지가 가능한 경사지에 해당하는 면적에서 트랙터로 작업을 하면 작업자의 위험부담뿐만 아니라 작업의 효율이 현격히 떨어질 것이다 현재 일반 트랙터로 작업을 하는 범위는 전답, 과수 및 초지 등의 경운 및 관리용 차량으로 많이 사용되고 있다. 그런데 모든 작업의 조건이 동일한 것이 아니라 예를 들면, 경사지 작업과 같은 열악한 조건에서도 작업을 할 경우가 종종 있다 그러므로 일반형 트랙터로 작업을 하기가 힘들기 때문에 경사지용 트랙터가 요구된다. 국내에서는 거의 연구가 행해지고 있지 않은 실정이며, 국외에서는 구미 및 일본을 중심으로 활발한 연구활동이 행해지고 있다. Analysis of Sloping Ground When Lifting with Force Platform (힘판을 이용한 들기 작업시의 경사면 분석)

  • Even manual materials handling tasks(MMHT) is decreasing by adopt of automatic manufacturing system & transportation supporting machine because of increase of productivity, wage lack of labor, safety, in fact working at inclined & complicated slope such as farm, orchard, harbor loading & unloading, logging place and mining place can't be substituted by machine perfectly. So, workers should do MMHT at this place by themselves, lifting on slope can cause much of hazard, include falling. Keeping balance net to slip can be a reason of low back pain(LBP) by overloaded musculoskeletal system but, there's no enough study about lift on slope. Therefore, In this study, we assessed and analyzed change of center of pressure(COP) when lifting on slope by force platform. The result showed that the length lengthen as increasing angle of slope. Especially, the length extremely increased over 15°. Through These basic result, present proper angle boundary, prevent industrial accidents and give proper data not only lifting but also pushing and pulling on slope someday.

Risk Assessment of Pesticide Operator Using Modified UK-POEM in Korean Orchard (변형된 UK-POEM을 이용한 한국 과수 농약살포자 위해성 평가)

  • This study was performed in order to assess the risk of korean orchard worker due to pesticide exposure. The amount of pesticide exposure was calculated based on the informations of 97 kind of items that are used the form of a spraying in Korean orchard. The risks of these pesticides were assessed to compare the exposure amount with AOEL (acceptable operator exposure level) which was released form developed countries. When the operator sprayed pesticides using speed sprayer, 74.2% of pesticide items showed the risk for operator if the operator have not worn the personal protective equipment (PPE), and 42.3% of pesticide items showed the risk for operator if the operator have worn the PPE. In case of using motor sprayer, 64.1% of pesticide items showed the risk for operator if the operator have not worn the PPE, and 19.4% of pesticide items showed the risk for operator if the operator have worn the PPE. This result was indicated that the risk of pesticide against the operator was very high in korean orchard operator.

Monitoring of Working Environment Exposed to Particulate Matter in Greenhouse for Cultivating Flower and Fruit (과수 및 화훼 시설하우스 내 작업자의 미세먼지 노출현황 모니터링)

  • With the wide use of greenhouses, the working hours have been increasing inside the greenhouse for workers. In the closed ventilated greenhouse, the internal environment has less affected to external weather during making a suitable temperature for crop growth. Greenhouse workers are exposed to organic dust including soil dust, pollen, pesticide residues, microorganisms during tillage process, soil grading, fertilizing, and harvesting operations. Therefore, the health status and working environment exposed to workers should be considered inside the greenhouse. It is necessary to secure basic data on particulate matter (PM) concentrations in order to set up dust reduction and health safety plans. To understand the PM concentration of working environment in greenhouse, the PM concnentrations were monitored in the cut-rose and Hallabong greenhouses in terms of PM size, working type, and working period. Compare to no-work (move) period, a significant increase in PM concentration was found during tillage operation in Hallabong greenhouse by 4.94 times on TSP (total suspended particle), 2.71 times on PM-10 (particle size of 10 ㎛ or larger), and 1.53 times on PM-2.5, respectively. During pruning operation in cut-rose greenhouse, TSP concentration was 7.4 times higher and PM-10 concentration was 3.2 times higher than during no-work period. As a result of analysis of PM contribution ratio by particle sizes, it was shown that PM-10 constitute the largest percentage. There was a significant difference in the PM concentration between work and no-work periods, and the concentration of PM during work was significant higher (p < 0.001). It was found that workers were generally exposed to a high level of dust concentration from 2.5 ㎛ to 35.15 ㎛ during tillage operation.

An Experimental Study on the Thermal Physiological Response in the Pesticide Proof Clothing Textile Materials for a Fruit-grower (과수용 농약방제복 소재 특성에 따른 인체생리반응에 관한 연구)

  • This study was to develope the pesticide-proof clothes(PPC) for fruit-grower which has been well known over applied agricultural chemicals. The ergonomic evaluation of PPC were tested in two ways. Male adults volunteered the tests to evaluate the safety to pesticide in the field and the thermal comforts in the climate-chamber($30^{\circ}C$, 60%R.H.). PPC were made of 4 different fabrics. Two of them were on the market(coated non-woven and coated nylon). Others were water-repellent treatment and coated waterproof film by developed polyester. The field study was conducted for farmers growing apples to evaluate pesticide exposure. In this experiment, we collected data with patch test on the head, chest, back, right upperarm, right forearm, left thigh and left calf. From the results, the developed PPC showed the more excellent comfort than an existing PPC with nylon coated polyurethane. But the developed PPC of water-repellent fabric was penetrated into the PPC. Therefore, we designed the functional pesticide-proof clothes of 2 different developed polyester fabrics(water-repellent treatment in chest, abdomen, the lower of back, waist, and calf; coated waterproof film in head, shoulder, the upper of back, the crotch, hip, upper arm and thigh).

  • The development of unmanned AI continues, and the development of AI unmanned is aimed at more efficiently, accurately, and speedily the work that has been resolved by manpower such as industry, welfare, and manpower. AI unmanned technology is evolving in various places, and it is time to switch to unmanned systems from many industries and factories.
