Equivalent Circuit Modeling Analysis of Square Split Ring Resonator with Defected Ground Structure (결합 접지면 구조의 사각 분리형 링 공진기의 등가 653회로 모델링 해석)

  • In this paper, the Square Split Ring Resonator(: SRR) of Defected Ground Structure(: DGS), applicable to MMIC(: Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) design, is proposed. The mathematical method to solve the equivalent parameter of the resonator from the measured results of resonator is introduced in this paper. To verify the method, SRR-DGS resonator with 2.95 GHz center frequency is fabricated, for measuring characteristics and calculating the equivalent parameter. The result from this process is compared with the data of the ADS simulation, and as a result both were identical.

  • In this paper, the analysis results of synthetic resonance characteristics are described for the electrohydraulic thrust vector control actuation system. The synthetic resonance is induced by integration of position servo actuation system on the flexible launch vehicle mounting structure. The new resonance mode is synthesized due to composition of hydraulic resonance for electrohydraulic position servo system with inertia load condition and structural resonance for flexible mounting structure. This synthetic resonance can make stability of control system worse by feedback and amplification of control system. The exact nonlinear analysis model of this phenomenon is developed to predict and design a control algorithm for improvement characteristics. The DPF (Dynamic Pressure Feedback) control algorithm has been designed and has excellent resonance suppression capability.

  • In this paper, an X-band oscillator is presented using a new miniaturized microstrip hairpin resonator. The newly designed hairpin resonator on the microstrip line employs the spiral structure, which shows a higher loaded quality factor and the 50 % reduced circuit area compared to the conventional one at 9.2 GHz. The oscillator using proposed resonator shows the output power of 10.87 dBm, the second harmonic suppression of 41.99 dBc, and the phase noise performance of -101.49 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset, which is better than the conventional resonator oscillator by 6.17 dB.

  • 본 논문은 LLC 공진형 컨버터의 효율 특성 검토에 관한 연구이다. 고효율을 구현하기 위하여 제안된 동기정류기형 LLC 하프브리지 공진형 컨버터를 채택하였으며 출력측 회로에 다이오드 대신 능동 스위칭 소자(MOSFET)를 사용하였다. 본 논문에서는 고효율 컨버터를 구현함에 있어 몇가지 경우의 입력 및 출력 조건에서 고효율을 갖는 스위칭 소자를 선정하였고 실제 스위칭 소자의 특성을 반영한 시뮬레이션을 통해 LLC 하프브리지 공진형 컨버터의 효율 특성을 검토하고 개선효과도 확인하였다.

  • 2차측 Multi-winding구조의 LLC공진형 컨버터는 교차조절(Cross-regulation) 특성에 의해 각 출력의 부하의 변화에 따라 출력전압의 불균형 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 2차측 Multi-winding 구조의 LLC공진형 컨버터에서 나타나는 교차조절 특성을 이론적으로 분석하고 240W급 LLC공진형 컨버터를 이용하여 실험을 진행한다. 실험 결과를 통해 출력 채널 수의 증가에 따른 교차조절 특성에 대해 고찰한다.

A Design of Novel Compact Microstrip Bandstop Filters Based on Split-Ring Resonators and Spiral Resonators (Split-Ring 공진기와 Spiral 공진기를 이용한 새로운 소형의 마이크로스트립 대역 저지 필터 설계)

  • In this paper, two novel compact microstrip bandstop filters using complimentary split ring resonators(CSRRs) and spiral resonators is proposed. The first one is the bandstop filter using an array of CSRRs etched on the center line of a microstrip. The bandstop is due to the presence of negative effective permittivity and positive permeability near resonant frequency which prevent the wave propagation. The second on is the bandstop filter using an array of spiral resonators etched on the center line of a microstrip. The bandstop is due to the self-resonance of spiral circuit. We have achieved controllable resonance frequency and bandwidth, super compact dimension, low insertion losses in the passband and high level of rejection in the stopband with sharp cutoff. The electrical sizes of two proposed filter are very small. Additionally, they can be easily fabricated and compatible with MMIC or PCB technology.

  • 본 연구에서는 공진주파수 수식을 이용한 MATLAB과 Modal 해석법을 사용한 ANSYS로 공진주파수 특성을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 외팔보의 시뮬레이션 결과에서는 길이가 길어짐에 따라, 또는 proof mass의 크기가 커짐에따라 공진주파수 특성이 낮아지는 결과가 나타났다. 따라서 본 실험에서의 외팔보는 낮은 공진 주파수를 가지기 위해 Si proof mass를 사용하여 제작하였다. 외팔보 소자는 Silicon-on-insulator wafer를 사용하여 SiO2/Ti/Pt/PZT/Pt 박막을 증착하였고, 마스크를 사용한 식각 공정으로 제작하였다. 이때의 MATLAB, ANSYS 시뮬레이션 결과와 실험에서 제작된 소자는 유사한 공진주파수 특성을 나타내었다.

  • The external quality factor ($Q_e$) is controlled by coupling condition between resonator and input/output ports in design of microwave filter. In this paper, we represent extracting method of external quality factor using phase response for resonator with input/output ports according to position of feed line from microstrip line resonator. The results regarding to position, coupling gap and line width for tapped line and coupled line structure are represented, and we got the exact $Q_e$ value from the this method. This results will be applied to coupled resonator filter design.

  • In this research, the vibration characteristics of composite quadcopter are analyzed, and avoidance design and analysis are performed to avoid resonance. The full platform of a commercial quadcopter with composite rotor arm is analyzed to see the vibration characteristics using FEM program. The manufactured stacking sequences of rotor arm is used for analysis, and the natural frequencies are compared with experimental results and simple analytic model results. It is also confirmed that the natural frequency of the particular mode is included within the operation range of the motor. The resonance avoidance design is carried out by selecting three variables from the existing model: stacking sequence, rotor-arm pipe length, and pipe thickness.

A Comparison of High Frequency Properties of LTCC Substrate Systems (LTCC 기판 시스템의 고주파 특성 비교)

  • In the measurement of the RF properties, the LTCC substrate must be considered as a system including various conductor patterning processes. In this paper, the LTCC substrate system is compared with a conventional PCB(Printed Circuit Board) substrate such as FR-4, Duroid and Teflon, etc. The microstrip resonator method is employed for the measurement of the RF properties in the range of DC to 20 GHz. Experimental results show that the ring resonator method is suitable for system loss measurement, and the series gap resonator method for dielectric constant measurement. The process of conductor patterning and its effect on the system loss were also studied.
