5축 머시닝센터의 소비 에너지 저감을 위한 운동요소 경량화 (Lightweight of Movable Parts for Energy Reduction of 5-axis Machining Center)

  • Mass reduction of the machine tool movable parts is a tool for achieving lower energy demands of the machine tool operation. The realization of lightweight design in machine tool can be achieved by structural lightweight design and material lightweight design. In this study, topology optimization strategy was applied to design optimized structures of movable parts of 5 axis machining center. The weight of ram which has most significant influence on the stiffness of whole machine tool was reduced without stiffness deterioration. The redesigned optimized ram has 24.2% less weight while maintaining the same displacement caused by cutting force.

  • This Paper describes a Nonlinear adoptive noise canceller using Neural Network for Machine Tools Controller System. Back-Propagation Learning Algorithm based MLP (Multi Layer Perceptron)is used an adaptive filters. In this Paper. it assume that the noise of primary input in the adaptive noise canceller is not the same characteristic as that of the reference input. Experimental results show that the neural network base noise canceller outperforms the linear noise canceller. Especially to make noise cancel close to realtime, Primary Input is divided by Unit and each divided pan is processed for very short time than all the processed data are unified to whole data.

  • In order to utilize a parallel machine tool for CAM system, the development of adequate interpolator is necessary. This paper presents a quintic B-spline interpolator with algorithm of limiting maximum interpolation error. The favored property of near arc-length parametrization in the curve representation is used in the implementation of the reference command generation. Then, this interpolator is applied to cubic parallel manipulator to show its validity.

  • A kinematically-hybrid 5-axis machine tool is analyzed from the perspective of machine tool design. Its kinematic characteristics are pointed out, which should be considered during the conceptual design process. A result of the structural analysis of the machine is presented, which is performed during the detailed design process. It is also presented how we improve the thermal characteristics of the machine tool by changing the installation position of the actuators.

  • Accuracy of a machined component is determined by the relative motion between the cutting tool and the workpiece. One of the important factors which affects the accuracy of this relative motion is the geometric error of machine tools. In this study, geometric error is modeled using form shaping motion of machine tool, where a form shaping function is derived from the homogeneous transformation matrix. Geometric errors are measured by laser interferometer. After that, the local positioning error can be estimated from the form shaping model and geometric error data base. From this information, we can remodel the part by shifting the design surface to the amount of positional error. By generating tool path to the redesigned surface, we can reduce the machining error.

  • In this article, we introduce a practical case study of the structural design improvement for a vertical machining center. During test operations, it have experienced excessive deflections and vibrations due to the fluctuating forces generated by the ball-screw thrust motor. At first we did investigate where and how much deflections and vibrations had been brought about on it. Next we made some possible structural design alternatives. It is a matter of course to compare finite element static and dynamic analysis results of both the original design and alternatives. Fortunately we have been able to find out a good one among those alternatives.

  • A 2$\frac{1}{2}$ dimensional measurement and inspection system realized on the machine tool using a touch trigger probe and measuring G codes is synthesized in this paper. Measuring G codes have been constructed according to geometric farms, precision attributes, relationships between two parts, datum hierarchies, and relevant technological data by using measuring arguments. Algorithms far calibration and compensation of measuring errors are proposed to ensure the measuring accuracy by using a laser interferometer and ring gauges. Classification of feed rates according to the objectives of movement makes it possible to reduce measuring time and also implement collision-free measurement. Experiments are conducted to verify the validity and effectiveness of proposed methods.

  • It can be acquired the high effective productivity through of high speed, precision of machine tools, and then, machine tools will be got a competitive power. Industrially advanced countries already developed that the high speed feed is 60m/min using the high speed ball screw. Also, a lot of problems have happened the feed drive system. It is necessary to study about the character of positioning accuracy, heat generation and high speed control for feed drive system of high speed. In this study, we make use of the feed drive system with a ball screw of large-scale-lead. We'll develop the feed drive system at the speed of 60m/min. Using the design of the mechanical element and the high speed control, the basic design concept can be established. After manufacturing one-shaft feed drive system and conducting the performance test, it'll be analyzed properties of the high speed feed drive system.

  • In this paper, input-output transmission characteristics of the Eclipse, which is a parallel machine tool capable of 5 face rapid machining, are investigated. By splitting the weighted Jacobian matrix into two parts, the force and moment transmission characteristics together with the velocity and angular velocity transmission characteristics are analyzed. A new manipulability measure, which combines the volume of the manipulability ellipsoid and the condition number of the splitted Jcobian matrix, is proposed. Two link parameters, the ratio of upper and lower platforms' radii and the length of a supporting link of the Eclipse, are designed by applying the new manipulability measure derived. Computer simulations are provided.

  • In this paper, we design a new automatic workpiece loading system for the loading and unloading of a workpiece for a CNC lathe. Conventional workpiece loading systems are bulky and require a large area when installed around a shelf. Therefore, an automatic loading system with small horizontal and vertical dimensions and a large loading capacity was designed. Structural analysis of the system was then carried out to assess the displacement and safety of the main components. Following this, the automatic loading system was manufactured according to the structural analysis results and conceptual design, and experiments characterizing the performance of the system were conducted. As a result, the automatic loading system was found to operate accurately and safely, meaning it can be used to load and unload workpieces for a CNC lathe.
