Development of Highly Selective Fluorescent Chemosensors for Fluoride Ion (불소 이온 감지용 형광 센서의 개발)

  • Novel fluoride sensory systems have been successfully developed. Previously developed method of the fluoride-induced lactonization to fluorescent molecules was detailed, and newly developed fluoride-induced aromatic cyclization scheme was introduced. Based on the strategies using the specific affinity of fluoride to silicon, our systems are highly selective for fluoride ion. Incorporation of the developed sensor to a conjugated polymer has successfully enhanced its sensitivity to fluoride ion.

Improved Solubility and Characterization of Photovoltaic Properties D/A Copolymers based on Rigid Structure of Phenothiazine-Quinoxaline (Rigid한 Phenothiazine-Quinoxaline D/A 공액 고분자 구조의 용해성 향상 연구 및 유기박막태양전지로의 특성 분석)

  • In this study, two kinds of polymer (PPQX-2hdPTZ (P1), POPQX-2hdPTZ (P2)) were synthesised by Suzuki coupling reaction based on phenothiazine derivative as electron-donor and quinoxaline derivative as electron-acceptor. Microwave synthesis workstation was used to shorten the polymerization time and increase the degree of polymerization. The physical, thermal stability, optical and electrochemical properties of the synthesized polymer were confirmed. The thermal stability of two polymers was outstanding as the initial decomposition temperature was $323-328^{\circ}C$. And additional substituted alkoxy chain on P2 showed higher degree of polymerization. An analysis of electrochemical properties, all polymer had similar HOMO energy level values. Device was fabricated by ITO/PEDOT:PSS/active layer/$BaF_2$/Al structure and photovoltaic properties were confirmed. Each device has a different film thickness and the resulting change in PCE was confirmed. As a result the thinner thickness of the film showed a high efficiency ($PCE_{max}:P1=1.0%$, P2 = 1.1%).

  • Soft actuators can be applied to various fields such as the medical industry and manufacturing industry due to the flexibility and smooth movement resulted from their constituent materials. Stimuli-responsive hydrogels are a class of materials that can show large volume changes due to various surrounding stimuli and thus is suitable as a soft actuator material. However, because the change in volume of the stimuli-responsive hydrogel depends on the rate of temperature change and the rate at which the solvent diffuses into the polymer network, in most typical operating conditions, the response time of the actuator is slow due to inefficient heat transfer and diffusion process. In this study, a conjugated polymer was introduced into polydiethylacrylamide, a thermoresponsive hydrogel, to implement a soft actuator driven by light, and the improvement in response time by the photothermal effect of the conjugated polymer was investigated. It was confirmed that the response time was improved by 41% by the introduction of the conjugated polymer, due to the improvement in heat transfer efficiency. Finally, a soft gripper using the hydrogel with improved response time was fabricated and the response time of the gripper was investigated.

  • In this work, it is possible to simply improve the molecular ordering of a conjugated polymer thin film by dipping into poor solvent. The structural order, optical, and electrical properties of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) films were profoundly influenced by dipping time and solubility of solvent. Especially the dipping time in methylene chloride was controlled to efficiently improve the molecular ordering of the P3HT. The correlation between the structural order and the electrical properties was used to optimize the dipping time in the appropriate solvent.

  • 금속과 유사한 전도성을 가진 공액이중결합의 전기전도성 고분자를 사용한 Langmuir-Blodett (LB) 막의 제조에 관한 연구는 그 범위가 넓으며, 지금까지 많은 연구 논문들이 보고되고 있다[1]. 특히 전도성이 뛰어난 polyaniline, polypyrrole, polythiophene은 전도성과 stability가 우수하여 전기 전도성 LB 막에 대한 연구들이 많이 진행되어 왔다[2]. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 전기전도성 유기물질을 사용한 전도성 LB막이 수직방향에 비해 수평방향의 전기전도도가 크다는 전기적 장점을 이용하여 전도성 LB막을 제조하기 위해 새로운 전도성 고분자를 합성하여 전기 전도성을 띄는 LB 막을 제조하였다[3,4].
