Official statistics which are collected for governments and the community can be used to assess the effectiveness of governments' policies and programs. Thus, official statistics should be collected and presented based on correct findings. Erroneous official statistics will lead to lower quality results in assessing those policies and programs. Many statistical agencies, today, use on-line analytical processing (OLAP) data cubes which support OLAP tasks like aggregation and subtotals as a key part of their dissemination strategy of official statistics. Confidentiality protection in data cubes also should be made. However, sensitive parts of data cubes including micro data may be disclosed by malicious inferences. The authors have suggested an inference control process in OLAP data cubes which preventing erroneous cube creating and securing cubes against privacy breaches. The objective of this study is to establish a strategy for inference control of official statistics using the inference control process by taking the case of the Patent Application Expense Support Project.

In contrast to the customary approximations based on standard normal percentage points, direct approximations involve simple functions of parameters (such as degrees of freedom and tail area of the t distributions). This article used techniques of exploratory data analysis following Hoaglin to develop direct approximations for percentage points in the commonly used portions of upper tail of the t distribution with small to moderate numbers of degrees of freedom. These approximations are convenient to use and they compare favorably in accuracy with the popular approximations based on standard normal percentage points such as Peiser's. They can be used as an initial value generator in algorithms for getting more accurate percentage points.

This study provides a comprehensive analysis of recent studies conducted on the topic of nowcasting in order to enhance the accuracy and promptness of official statistical data. Furthermore, we propose an alternative approach involving the utilization of real-time data and its corresponding collection methods to effectively operate a real-time nowcasting model capable of accurately capturing the current economic condition. We explore high-frequency real-time data that can predict economic indicators in both the public and private sectors and propose a pipeline for data collection processing and modeling that is based on cloud platforms. Furthermore we validate the essential elements required for the implementation of real-time nowcasting, as well as their data management protocols to ensure the reliability and consistency needed for accurate forecasting of official statistical indicators.

There are three official official demographics of the Republic of Korea: the population census, population projections, and resident population. Among these, the population projections estimates are based on population census statistics, which are conducted every five years. This study compared and analyzed the future population statistics and resident population statistics. In order to detect errors in the census process, we surveyed the outliers of demographic data. Based on these, we aimed to verify the reliability of official demographics. Resident registration demographics showed a tendency to increase as the age increased from 0 to 12 years, although the population had to decrease as the age increased. In the population projections, as the age increases from 18 to 28, a new population has developed and the population has increased. Also, in the resident population, between 2009 and 2010, in the population projections, between 2010 and 2011, there was a strange phenomenon that the population grew as a result of a new population as the age of all ages increased. Both official demographics need to be carried out through more accurate verification. Increasing the reliability of the aged population survey on the elderly population statistics will provide greater efficiency in establishing administrative policies.

2002년 10월 유럽통계협회는 품질지수개발을 위해 협회소속국가들이 연합하여 특별연구팀을 발족시켰다. 이 팀의 주목적은 유럽통계협회에서 생산되는 자료의 품질을 측정하기 위해 대표성이 있으며, 계산하기 쉽고, 이해하기 쉬운 지수를 개발하는 것이었다. 유럽 통계협회는 연구팀에서 개발한 지수를 이용하여 내부품질보고서를 작성하도록 결정하였다. 개발된 풀질지수들은 유럽 통계협회 소속 국가에 의해 생산된 통계에 적용하기 적합해야하며 유럽전체를 위해 Eurostat 이 보유하고 있는 통계에도 적합해야한다. 그러므로 지수들은 각 국이 합의한 용어, 공식, 변수, 도메인, 분석의 정도를 고려하여 개발되도록 하였다. 이러한 지수는 정기적으로 생산되도록 규정하고 있으며 이 규정이 지켜지기 위해서는 동일한 변수, 공식 통이 적용되어야함은 물론이고 시계열의 유지를 위해 관련된 메타데이터가 제공되어야한다. 서로 다른 조사결과로부터 관련된 통계량의 측정과 개념들간의 차이를 확인하기 위해서 메타데이터는 반드시 필요하며 품질보고서가 있는 경우 많은 도움이 릴 것이다. 본 연구에서는 동계생산자의 관점에서 본 각각의 품질 요소에 따라서 생산된 다양한 통계의 풀질을 평가하기 위해서 개발된 일련의 표준화된 품질지수를 제시할 것이다. 각 지수들의 정의와 가장 대표적인 지수산출을 제안하고 지수산출을 위해 필요한 메타데이터를 선명한 것이다.
