자동차용 열연강판은 그 용도에 따라 매우 다양한 제품특성이 요구되고 있다. 즉 고강도 및 고강성, 우수한 피로특성, 용접성 및 내식성 등이 요구되고 있다. 이중에서도 고강도화는 향후 자동차의 경량화와 더불어 안전성을 동시에 확보하기 위해 매우 필요한 기술이다. 고강도화에 가장 많은 노력이 이루어졌던 wheel용 강재의 경우, 기존에는 60kg급 강재가 주종을 이루었으나, 일본등에서는 80kg급 강재의 시험생산 및 실차 test가 진행되는 등 소재공급사와 자동차제조사와의 공동노력에 의해 많은 기술개발이 이루어져 왔다. 더우기 96년 6월 일본철강연맹 규격에는 자동차용 열간압연 강판으로 80kg급 강재가 등록이 됨으로서 향후 고강도강의 소요가 크게 증가될 전망이다. 또한 근래 상용화가 활발하게 진행되고 있는 열연 TRIP강의 경우 기존의 개념을 넘어서는 고강도 및 고연성, 우수한 가공선과 더불어 우수한 피로특성을 보이고 있어 향후 동 소재의 사용확대가 크게 기대되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 좋은 철강소재의 개발과 이의 적용은 강재제조기술과 더불어 이의 적정 가공기술 그리고 독자적인 설계기술등이 연계되어야만 비로소 이루어질 수 있다. 이를 위해 소재공급사와 자동차제조사간에 지속적인 기술개발을 위한 공동노력이 이루어져야 되리라 생각된다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the external collaboration factors that affect the performance of Korean venture businesses. We use 1,567 firm data (from Venture Business Survey by Small & Medium Business Administration) and analyze the effect of the external collaborations with large business, research institutions, other small business, and foreign companies, on their sales increase between 2008 and 2009. Our analysis shows that Korean venture business' collaborations with research institutions or foreign companies increase their sales statistically significantly, while their collaborations with large business decrease their sales significantly. In the mean time, their collaborations with other small businesses show no significant result. Additional analysis on the collaboration categories between venture businesses and large businesses shows that collaborative R&D, employee training and collaborative marketing help venture business to increase their sales significantly, while financial collaborations have a significant negative effect on sales increase. Technology transfers and profit-sharing mechanism have no significant effect. The result shows that venture business' collaborations for the increase in the fundamental capability of innovations and for searching new markets rather than simple transfer of technology or financial collaborations, have significant positive effects on the increase in sales.

지방중소기업의 애로기술을 지역대학의 우수한 인력과 자원을 활용하여 현지 업체 가 해결할 수 없는 기술을 지도하고 지원하여, 지방공과 대학이 당해 지방소재 중소기업의 공동 연구소로 활용될 수 있도록 산학연 공동 기술개발 지역 컨소시엄 사업이 통상산업부의 지원하에 많은 학교와 지방 중소기업이 현재 진행중이거나 추진 중에 있다. 본 연구 개발 과제는 산,학,연 지역 컨소시엄 개발 과제로서 96년 초부터 시작되어 97년 6월중에 완료 예정으로 현재 모든 테스트가 완료되고 현업 업무와 병행 가동 중에 있다. 그리고, 이 연구 개발 과제는 밸브 제조 산업을 중심으로 한 생산 공정 관리와 기타 기존에 개발되어 있는 Module 간에 데이터공유와 Interface에 중점을 두고 개발하였으며, 특히 공정 관리에서 Job Schedule을 효율적으로 처리하기 위한 표준 모델을 정립하는데 중점을 두고 개발하였다.

Technology innovation is a competitive weapon of sustainable economic growth at the urban and regional level and the growth of firms. In this study, we empirically investigate the effects of collaborative R&D activity on product innovative outputs and process innovative outputs in manufacturing firms in Korea. We analyze the links between collaborative R&D activity and two types of innovative outputs using an alternative negative binomial regression model. The major finding is that collaborative R&D activity has significant positive effects on both product and process innovation. The results also identify a positive link between all types of innovative outputs and other R&D activities including internal R&D activity, patent activity, external technology and capital goods acquisitions. To induce corporate growth that enhances the productivity of individual firms and produces prolonged economic growth, policy makers should place greater emphasis on creating effective arrangements to promote establishing collaborative R&D strategies for manufacturing firms.

본 연구는 지방의 공동브랜드가 난립하고 있는 실정에서 보령머드의 차별성을 살리고, 원래 가지고 있던 고유성을 부각시켜서 시각적으로 이미지를 정립한 과정을 살펴보고자 한다. 공동브랜드의 가치를 높일 수 있도록 제품 이미지에 부합하고 소비자의 요구에 대응할 수 있는 디자인 방안이 제시되어야 한다. 그러나 현 시점에서 많은 공동브랜드가 유사성과 몰개성적인 난립으로 지역생산자에게 만족스러운 결과를 주지 못하는 부분이 크다. 보령머드는 이러한 점을 인식하고 보령머드의 현재 가치를 유지하면서 미래가치를 높일 수 있는 아이덴티티인 머드반지 개발과 적용을 브랜드 관리 차원에서 순차적으로 진행하고 있다. 세계인을 향한 보령머드의 약속을 상징하는 머드반지는 이미지 전달자인 보령과 이미지 수용자인 소비자 사이에 이러한 시각요소를 전달하고 있다.

This study explores the way to enhance research performance focusing basic and fundamental technology when researchers conduct international joint research with counterparts in foreign countries, funded under the National R&D programs. In order to retain validity and objectivity, mixed approaches including qualitative and quantitative are adapted at the first step. Through this step, main factors affecting the research performance can be addressed, such as the number of SCI papers published, conference attendance held both in domestic and foreign countries, researchers holding PhD involving in projects. Then, at the second step, DEA methodology is applied to explore the way to enhance research performance, based on the analysis at first step. The result at second step shows that the various ways can be drawn according to programs respectively and the general assumption of research funds and number of projects affecting positive outcome is not absolutely mentioned. Therefore, this study implies that input variables including research funds are not compatible with research performance in terms of international joint research and suggests further that the decisive outcome and management be reconsidered according to the programs respectively under the national R&D program.
