  • 지하철 역사 승강장과 대합실에 외부공기를 급기하고 내부공기를 배기하는 공기조화기에 대해 알아보고, 전국 지하철 역사에 적용되고 있는 공기조화기 에어필터의 현황을 분석하고자 한다. 그리고, 한국철도기술연구원에서 개발중인 교체가 필요없는 반영구적인 새로운 방식의 에어필터를 소개하고자 한다.

  • 공기조화기는 건물내에서 일하는 사람의 공기환경을 좋게 하기 위한 시설로서 실내작업자와는 밀접한 관계가 있다. 공기환경에서는 공기의 온도, 습도와 풍속유지 범위를 정하고 탄산가스, 일산화탄소 및 부유먼지 함유량을 규제하고 있다. 더욱 정기적 측정을 하여 그 기록을 보관해야 한다. 이상과 같이 실내환경에 대한 감시가 엄격해짐으로 실내환경에 신경을 써야 할 것이다. 이런 문제 때문에 공기기술자라 할지라도 공기조화기의 기능을 어느정도 이해해 둘 필요가 있다, 그래서 2회에 걸쳐 공기조화기의 기초지식과 실무 주안점을 소개할까 한다.

  • The purpose of this study was to reduce the noise emitted from the package air-conditioner. The optimum design methods of the fans ware investigated experimentally through the analysis of noise problem caused by the conventional PAC system. New PAC system had decreased 6 dBA in overall noise level as compared with the conventional system by various technology.

  • Annually, electrical fires caused by arcing phenomena in power system rapidly increase as the use of more electric appliances, but there is no established method for the prevention of the accidents. With this background, this paper dealt with the experimental results on a series arc detection technique and a device for air conditioners. Series arcing phenomena that is generated in incomplete connection of air conditioners was simulated, and the frequency spectrum was analyzed. The Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) of the arc pulse showed that the dominant frequency components exist in ranges of 190 kHz~250 kHz and 900 kHz~1.6 MHz. An arc detection circuit with low cut off frequency of 170 kHz to attenuate 60 Hz by 170 dB and a signal discriminator were designed. Also, an algorithm which separate series arc signal from unwanted noises produced by switching operation, inverter, and surge was proposed. Application experiment was carried out on several types of air-conditioners by using the arc generator specified in UL1699, and the results showed the over 99 % accuracy.

  • An air handling unit(AHU) has been usually designed by manual calculations. Drawing works together with design calculations should be redone far every designing work, and also be needed to make some corrections of them. In order to design the AHU more efficiently, an AHU program has been developed. The developed program on the Windows environment is operated by the graphic user interface(GUI) realized using the Visual Basic Interpreter. The program provides calculation sheet of coils, weights and pressures in a MS-Excel file format as well as design drawing of the AHU in a Auto CAD file format idealized by AutoLISP. Those files of the commercial softwares make easier for a designer to transfer design results to the another company for bid via e-mail.

  • This paper proposes a new computational aeroacoustics method for an axial fan analysis. The major aeroacoustic noise source of an outdoor air-conditioner is the axial fan. It was revealed that the dominant noise source is the aerodynamic interactions between the rotating blade and stationary orifice. Many researches were focused on the fan only case. However, it does not fit to a real outdoor unit of air-conditioner. Especially, the inlet part of the axial fan of real system case is complex and not uniform. So, in order to identify the dominant noise source of axial fan, full outdoor unit analysis is important. Transient CFD analysis of full system was performed by commercial CFD code - SC/Tetra. Dominant noise source of the system was calculated by commercial CFN code - FlowNoise. The results show that not only BPF peaks but also broadband noise are similar to the measured data.
