  • Aerodynamic torque of wind turbine is highly nonlinear due to the nonlinear interactions between wind and blade. The aerodynamic nonlinearity is represented by nonlinear power and torque coefficients which are functions of wind speed, rotational speed of rotor, and pitch angle of blade. It is essential from the viewpoint of understanding and analysis of dynamic characteristics for wind turbine to linearize the aerodynamic torque and define aerodynamic nonlinear parameters as derivatives of aerodynamic torque with respect to the three parameters. In this paper, a linearization method of the aerodynamic torque from power coefficient is presented through differentiating it by the three parameters. And steady-state values of three aerodynamic nonlinear parameters according to wind speed are obtained and their nonlinear characteristics are investigated.

  • CFD simulation is peformed for 2D and 3D frisbees flying at 10m/s. For convenience of simulation, rotation of 3D model is not considered. CFD results show that pitching moment makes the nose down and holes at the leading and trailing edges improve the lift characteristics of the frisbee.

  • The SFRJ(Solid Fuel Ram-Jet) propulsion is attractive for projectiles because of the combination of high propulsive performance and low system complexity more than conventional projectiles. The Objective of this research was to characterize the inlet aerodynamic characteristics (center-body & pitot type) in SFRJ. Diffuser static pressure & combustion chamber pressure was tested and the AoA was changed $0^{\circ}$ and $4^{\circ}$ at Mach number of 3.0 for performance estimate. The performance study of inlet was carried out with the Schlieren system and Supersonic cold-flow system. Under mach 3.0, the center-body showed twice higher total pressure recovering ratio than the pitot type. A Computational fluid dynamic solution is applied internal flow of inlet and the solutions are compared with experimental results.

  • CD-ROM에서 생성되는 소음은 구조소음과 공력소음의 분포비율을 생각해 볼 때 하드디스크 등의 경우와는 다소 다른 특성이 있는데, 구조적으로 차폐나 디스크의 크기 및 회전속도 등의 차이로 인해 공력소음의 비중이 매우 커진 점을 들 수 있다. 공기역학적으로 생성되는 소음은 구조소음의 경우와는 다르게 에너지 분포가 주기성을 찾아보기 어려우며 널은 주파수 대역에 고루 분포하는 특징이 있다.(중략)

  • A three-dimensional numerical study of the WIG-effect vehicle with a direct-underside-pressurization (DUP) system and a propeller is performed to analyze the aerodynamic forces and moments acting on the vehicle. The computational model includes all the compartments of a WIG-effect vehicle, including a propeller in the middle of the fuselage and an air chamber under the fuselage. The DUP system and propeller help considerably reduce the take-off speed and minimize the effect of the hump drag when the vehicle accelerates to take off on water. The airflow is accelerated by a propeller, and the air then enters the air chamber through a channel in the middle of the fuselage, this air helps increase the lift since the dynamic pressure of air is converted to static pressure. However, the air accelerated by the propeller produces excessive drag and creates yawing moment. It is found that the effect of yawing and rolling moments on static stability is negligible.

  • In this study, experimental and analytical studies were carried out to observe the phenomenon of aerodynamic throat formed according to the primary flow and secondary flow momentum of the ejector. The equilibrium interval of the aerodynamic throat, which is the main variable of the ejector performance, was observed through the experiment using the cold flow experiment and the analysis using FLUENT. Performance characteristics were investigated by the change of the primary flow rate and the throat diameter of the ejector cylinder. As a result, the performance of the standard ejector was confirmed to be within the range of 0.33~1.167(off-design/design) and cylinder throat diameter range of 1~1.17(off-design/design area ratio).

  • Three-dimensional unsteady numerical analysis has been performed to observe aerodynamic characteristics of a H-rotor. Generally, the structure of the H-rotor is simple but the aerodynamic characteristics are exceptionably complicated since the angle of attacks and incident velocities to a blade are considerably varied according to the azimuth angles and solidities. The blade in the upwind revolution between 0 to 180 degree obtains aerodynamic energy from the free stream but the blade in the downwind revolution between 180 to 360 degree does not. When the rotating speed increases, the blade in the downwind revolution accelerates the air around the blade like a fan and it consumes the energy and shows negative torque in the area. On the other hand, the direction of the free stream is bent because of the interaction between blade the free stream. Therefore, the operation point (highest power coefficient) appears at a lower tip-speed-ratio what it is expected.

  • 의복 쾌적감은 착용자가 환경변화에 대하여 쾌적한 감정을 갖는 것을 의미한다. 직물의 쾌적성은 접촉감 뿐만 아니라 공기, 열, 수분을 전달하는 직물의 물리적 특성과 관계가 있는데 특별히 직물의 표면특성과 관련하여 변화하는 쾌적인자는 온냉감과 열, 수분 및 공기전달성이다. 따라서 직물의 표면 형태 및 두께에 따라 열, 수분 및 공기전달 특성은 달라질 뿐만 아니라 인체에 접촉하였을 때 접촉면적이 달라지므로 촉감에 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서는 의복의 쾌적성 향상의 중요한 인자로 대표적인 직물의 역학 특성과 열 및 수분전달특성을 직물 구성사의 단면형상을 달리하였을 때의 그 상관 관계에 대하여 알아보았다.   • The aerodynamic drag of ultra high-speed train in evacuated tube have been calculated using computational fluid dynamics and the variation of aerodynamic drag for the change of major system parameter of tube-vehicle system such as the train speed, air density, and the tunnel diameter. The aerodynamic drag in the tube increases with increasing train speed, however, the ratio of drag increase in tube is larger than that on the open field, the V square rule. The aerodynamic drag decreases with increasing tunnel diameter and increasing air density, and the drag increasing for air density is almost linear just like that on open field. For some combination of the parameters, the trend of aerodynamic drag of train showed irregularity.
