배관 세척장치의 성능평가

  • 점차 복잡해지고 있는 사회적 욕구를 만족시키기 위한 건물에서는 반드시 복잡한 설비가 요구되고 있고, 이러한 설비시스템 중에는 급수, 급탕 및 배수설비라고 하는 배관시스템이 없다면 기능유지에 막대한 지장을 초래할 것은 자명하다고 하겠다. 이러한 배관시스템에서는 항시 또는 일부 사용되어질 물이나 사용된 물이 흐르기 때문에 배관내부에 발생하는 스케일(scale)이나 슬라임(slime) 등은 피할 수 없는 사실인 것이다. 건축물 내에 설치된 각종 배관은 건물의 기능을 유지하고 보건위생과 직결되는 중요한 기능을 담당하고 있어 세척의 필요성이 매우 높음에도 불구하고 배관의 수명이 다할 때까지 거의 세척이 이루어지지 않고 사용되어 왔다. 이들 배관에 대한 세척은 배관의 수명연장과 관마찰 계수를 낮추어 급수의 수송동력을 절감할 수 있고, 난방관의 열전달 효과를 높여 에너지 절약 효과를 거두어 건물의 유지관리 비용 절감에 기여할 수 있음에도 적절한 세척공법이 개발되지 않고 있다. 이러한 관점에 맞추어 건물배관의 특성에 맞도록 고압 세척장치를 개발하고 이를 이용한 세척공법을 적용하고자 하였다. 즉, 배관 내에 압축공기를 주기적으로 분사하여 맥동현상이 일어나도록 하면서 기포를 발생시켜 기포가 관의 내벽에서 성장하여 파괴될 때 관내에 부착된 이물질을 제거할 수 있고, 또한 세척효과를 높이기 위하여 관의 벽면에 접촉하면서 배출되는 과정에서 이물질을 제거할 수 있도록 구조와 아울러 이들 장치를 이용한 세척방법의 적용성에 대해서 고찰하고자 한다.

  • 가스터빈 사이클의 성능 및 NOx 배출물 생성량 예측을 위한 모사 프로그램을 개발하였다. 압축기 및 터빈은 등엔트로피 과정으로, 연소기는 Thermal NOx 생성을 수반하는 연소모형으로서 가정하였다. 또한 터빈 냉각을 위한 추출공기량과 냉각방식이 성능에 미치는 적절한 상관 관계식을 도입하여 평가하였다. 본 성능평가 모델을 이용하여 예측된 결과와 실험결과간의 비교를 통하여 모델의 타당성을 검증하였고, 증기 분사량, 터빈 냉각변수 및 압축비 변화에 따른 예측결과를 통하여 가스터빈 시스템 최적 운전 및 설계기준을 제시하였다.

  • 가스터빈 엔진의 효율 및 성능은 터빈입구온도에 크게 좌우되므로, 높은 열효율을 얻기 위하여 최근 가스터빈 엔진은 높은 입구온도(대략 1400-150$0^{\circ}C$)에서 작동되도록 설계되고 있다. 이는 요소재질의 열한계점을 훨씬 상회하며, 이와 같은 입구온도의 고온화 경향은 터빈요소에 대한 열부하를 증가시키고 있다. 따라서 극한의 작동조건하에서의 허용수명 및 안정성의 유지를 위해서 내부대류냉각, 충돌세트냉각과 더불어 막냉각기법이 많이 응용되고 있다. 막냉각기법은 연소기 벽면 혹은 터빈블레이드 표면의 작은 구멍들을 통해서 압축기의 공기를 분사하여 표면에 고온의 유체와 일종의 단열벽을 형성하여 표면을 보호하는 냉각방법이다. 지금까지는 주로 단면적이 일정한 막냉각홀에 대한 연구가 주가 되어왔으나, 이러한 막냉각홀을 이용하는 경우 많은 문제점이 발생한다.

Characteristics of Temperature, Humidity and PPF Distribution by Covering Method and Environmental Control in Double Covering Greenhouse (이중피복 온실의 피복방법과 환경조절에 따른 온습도 및 광합성유효광량자속 분포 특성)

  • The objective of the present study is to provide data needed to find double covering method to be able to improve environment of temperature, humidity and PPF in tomato greenhouse. The distribution charts of temperature, humidity and PPF which were measured in environment control conditions such as thermal insulation, air heating, roof ventilation and air fog cooling in conventional and air inflated double layers greenhouses were drawn and analysed. The thermal insulation effect of the air inflated greenhouse was the same as that of conventional greenhouse because the temperature between insulation curtain and roof covering material was equal in heating season. The ventilation effect of the air inflated greenhouse was superior to the conventional greenhouse. The temperature distribution in the fog cooled greenhouse was uniform and the cooling effect was about $3.5^{\circ}C$. The condensation on the roof covering surface could be controlled by removing the moisture between insulation curtain and roof covering by using humidifier. The PPF of conventional greenhouse was more decreased than the air inflated greenhouse as time went by because the transmittance of conventional greenhouse declined by dust collected on the inside plastic film owing to rolling up and down operation for ventilation.

  • This study presents the blow molding of injection stretch-blow molding process for PET bottle. The numerical analysis of the blow molding of PET bottle is considered in this paper using CAE with a view to minimize the thickness difference. In order to determine the design parameters and processing conditions in blow molding, it is very important to establish the numerical model with physical phenomenon. In this study, a shell model with thickness has been introduced for the purpose and blow simulations with 3-type blow process condition are carried out. The simulations resulted in the thickness distribution in good agreement with the physical phenomenon. Also, from the result of numerical analysis, we appropriately predicted the thickness distribution along the PET bottle wall and Using the result of numerical analysis we apply the preform design and blow molding process condition for optimization.

  • As the large Coolant amount used of a machine holds mass serious trouble recently, an environment pollution is increased, and a machine is conquering large specific gravity in an empty cost plane. It is the stage that must reexamine the parts washing that processing is later with this current way or a problem of a liquid waste treatment back. The environmental problems by using coolant demanded the new cooling methods. As one of them, the studies on the grinding with compressed cold air and oil mist have been done. The cooling method using compressed cold air was effective through going down the temperature of compressed air supplied below -$25^{\circ}C$ and increasing the amount of compressed cold air, but had not enough cooling effect due to the low performance of lubrication. Therefore, the cooling methods using oil mist newly were suggested. This method can satisfy both cooling effect and lubrication with only small amount of coolant, also have the benefit in the point of decreasing the environmental pollution. This paper focused on analyzing the grinding characteristics of the cooling method using oil mist. The grinding test according to compressed cold air and oil mist supply direction were done.

A Study on the Uniform Mixing of Ammonia-Air with the Change of Ammonia Supply Device Shape in a De-NOx System (탈질설비에서 암모니아 혼합기의 형상에 따른 암모니아-공기 균일 혼합에 관한 연구)

  • Selective catalytic reduction(SCR) method is widely used among various methods for reducing nitrogen oxides in combustion devices of coal power plant. In the present study, the computational fluid dynamic analysis was accomplished to derive the optimal shape of ammonia-dilution air mixing device in a ammonia injection grid. The distribution characteristics of flow and $NH_3$ concentration had been elucidated for the reference shape of ammonia mixing device(Case 1). In the mixing device of Case 1, it could be seen that $NH_3$ distribution was shifted to the wall opposite to the inlet of the ammonia injection pipe. For the improvement of $NH_3$ distribution, the case(Case 2) with closing one upper injection hole and 4 side injection holes, the case(Case 3) with installing horizontal plate at the upper of ammonia injection pipe, the case(Case 4) with installing horizontal plate and horizontal arc plate at he upper of ammonia injection pipe were investigated by analyzing flow and $NH_3$ concentration distributions. From the present study, it was found that the % RMS of $NH_3$ for Case 4 was 4.92%, which was the smallest value among four cases, and the range of $R_{NH3}$ also has the optimally uniform distribution, -10.82~8.34%.

  • The combustion process and the performance of a diesel engine are seriously affected by the ignition delay period of the fuel used. Some methods for improving the combustion process in the engine cylinder are to well match the strength of air swirl with the space of sprays in the cylinder, to blend an ignition improver in the fuel, to inject a small amount of auxiliary fuel prior to main injection and so on. Recently, the improvement of fuel economy and the reduction of exhaust smoke and NO have been successfully achieved by supplying diesel engines with emulsified fuel. However, it is very difficult to know real combustion mechanism under such special conditions, because of many factors affecting on the combustion process in practical reciprocating engine. In the present paper, the combustion processes of diesel fuel and emulsion fuel were tried to improve and to observe by making contact with various lean pre-mixtures in the hot air stream duct. This hot air stream method has an advantage that the spontaneous combustion process can be observed under a simplified condition.

  • This study exploits the robot system which is necessary in gene study, bio-technology industry. As well, it can achieve the job of DNA chip manufacturing whose use rate has been increased recently. The robot consists of DNA spotting device for spotting DNA on the silylated slide and well plate, bed for fixing well-plate, washing & drying device of washing and drying the pin part of DNA spotting device, distillation-water vessel, and discharge vessel of wash water. We made the term of sticking DNA to the pin on well plate to be 15 seconds. The spot size of DNA was set to be 0.28 mm on the average by bringing the slide into contact with pin for 1 second. At this rate, if DNA is spotted in the minimum space possible of about 0.32mm, it can stick about 8,100 DNA spots on the well plate. Analyzing the procedure: Movement starts. Pin washes, dries, and smears DNA on the well plate. Spots DNA onto 12 chips takes 2 minutes and 50 seconds.

Pre-grouting for CHI of EPB shield TBM in difficult grounds: a case study of Daegok-Sosa railway tunnel (복합지반 EPB TBM 커터교체를 위한 그라우팅 수행 사례)

  • Railway projects have been consistently increasing in Korea. In relation to this trend, the mechanized tunneling using Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) is preferably applied for mining urban areas and passing under rivers. The TBM tunneling under difficult grounds like mixed faces with high water pressure could require ground improvements for stable TBM advance or safe cutter head intervention (CHI). In this study, pre-grouting works for CHI in Daegok-Sosa railway project are presented in terms of the grouting zone design, the executions and the results, the lessons learned from the experience. It should be mentioned that the grouting from inside TBM was carried out several times and turned out to be inefficient in the project. Therefore, grouting experiences from the surface are highlighted in this study. Jet grouting was implemented on CHI points on land, while permeation grouting off shore in the Han River, which mostly allow to access the cutter head of TBM in free air with stable faces. The results of CHI works have been analyzed and the lesson learned are suggested.
