생산자동화 시스템에서의 신경회로망

  • FMS(Flesible Manufacturing System), FMX(Flexible Manufacturing Cell)와 같은 유연 생산시스템 뿐만 아니고 공장자동화(FA)의 최하위 단위인 절삭가공 공작기계에 대한 무인화의 실현은 머지않은 장래에 완성될 IMS(Intelligent Manufacturing System)시스템이 구축에 있어서 최대의 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 전통적인 생산시스템에서는 경험을 가진 작업자에 의해 절삭공정이 감시되어지며, 만약 이상이 발생했을 때에는 그 상태에 따른 적절한 조치를 즉시 취할 수 있었다. 그러나 급속도로 연구가 진행되는 무인생산 시스템에서는 이러한 작업자의 역할이 컴퓨터에 의한 자동적인 감시 및 제어 시스템으로 대체되어야 한다. 이러한감시활동 중에서도 공구마모 및 파단의 검출은 효율적인 공구교환정책, 가공물의 품위유지 및 공구와 공작기계의 보호를 위해서 가장 중요한 부분으로 취급되고 있다.

Development of Control System of High-speed ATC of Machining Center (Machining Center의 고속 ATC 제어 시스템의 개발)

  • We use a compound-cam twin arm structure and random tool access method to achieve a faster ATC (Automatic Tool Changer) system for the accurate position and rotation control of a tool magazine and an exchange am. Based on the data obtained from various sensors, it is possible to follow the sequence of commands in each control step for an exchange arm. However, it is not so easy to reduce the exchange time of the system because of the slow responses of the sensors and execution mode delays of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) scan time. In this paper, we propose a new programmed limit-switch position control method to obtain the shortest possible delays for the random tool access method and compound-cam twin arm structure. With some experimental results, we have achieved below 0.9sec tool exchange time with the proposed method.

  • An effective die-polishing robot system is developed. ATC (Automatic Tool Change), tool posture angle control, and robot program for polishing application are developed and integrated into a robotic system that consists of a robot, pneumatic grinding tool, and grinding abrasives (papers and special films). ATC is specifically designed to exchange whole grinding tool set for complete unmanned operation. A tool posture angle control system is developed for the tools to maintain a specified skew angle rather than right angle on the surface for best finishing results. A PC and the robot controller control ATC and tool posture angle. Also, there have been more considerations on enhancing the performance of the system. Elastic material is inserted between the grinding pad and the holder for better grinding contact. Robot path data are generated automatically from the NC data of previous machining process.

  • An intelligent polishing robot automation system is developed. Automatic Tool Change System(A.T.C.), Tool Posture Angle Control, and Robot Program for Polishing Application are developed and integrated into a robotic system that consists of a robot, pneumatic finding tool, and finding abrasives (papers and special films).   • Automatic tool changer(ATC) is typically provided to a machine tool to improve the efficiency of the machine tool significantly by saving time in moving, switching, installing and storing tools as well as adjusting a calibrating the machine tool. In this study, technical trend of machine tools automatic tool changer are analyzed by patent mapping. And future development direction of automatic tool changer has suggested. The analysis is carried out by using problem solution map for the applied patent during 2000 and 2010 in USA, Japan, Europe and Korea.

  • Cam mechanism is one of the common devices used in many automatic machinery. Specially cylindrical cam generates three dimensional motions. Thus, the shape design procedure must have high accuracy. This paper proposes the shape design procedure for a cylindrical cam and follower mechanism using a relative velocity method. The relative velocity method and coordinate transformation are used to find a contact point between cam and follower. Also, the full shape of the cylindrical cam can be generated by using the geometric relationships and the contact constraints. As a result, this paper presents an example for the sape design of the cylindrical cam in order to prove the accuracy of the design procedures.

  • Recently, many studies have been undergoing to reduce working time in field of machine tool. There are two ways of reducing working time to reduce actual working time by heighten spindle speed and to reduce stand-by time by shortening tool exchange time. Auto tool changer belongs to latter case. Fixed address type auto tool changer can store more number of tools in small space than magazine transfer Ope and can shorten tool exchange time. This study focuses on the topology optimization to reduce the weight of the fixed address type ATC. The optimization program using a real number coding genetic algorithm is developed and is applied to the 10-bar truss optimization problem to verify the developed program. And, it is shown that the developed program gives better results than other methods. Finally, The developed program applied to optimize the fixed address type ATC.

공구파손의 파괴역학적 해석에 관한 기초적 연구

  • 구조물과 기계부품에 부하를 주는 하중은 여러가지 종류가 있고, 이에 따르는 파괴의 형식도 여러가지가 있다. 그중에서도 연강압연용 로울러, 베어링 레일등은 집중 압축하중을 받는데 이들 부재의 파괴사고가 빈번히 일어나고 잇다. 압축에 의한 파괴 중 frectting, 피팅등과 같은 마모 현상은 두 재료의 표면이 서로 미끌어질때 일어나며, 이것이 공구나 기계부품의 성능과 수명을 저하시키는 주원인이 되며, 이러한 궁구나 기계 부품을 수리 또는 교환을 하기위한 인적, 경제적 손실은 막대하다. 본 연구에서는 금형등 공구의 마모편이 발생되는 마지막 과정인 크렉의 성장을 고찰하기 위하여 Sub-surface크랙 모델을 설정하여 2차원 유한요소 법으로 경계층 근방에 크랙이 존재하는 반무한 평면에 집중하중이 작용할때의 응력확대계수를 해설하였는데, 일반화된 해석법으로 혼합모드에서의 응력확대계수를 결정하였다.
