A Case Study of Augmented Reality Marketing (증강현실 마케팅 사례 연구)

  • This study is intended to study the usage of augmented reality(AR) in the marketing field by classifying them into display and content types and analyzing the typical cases and characteristics. The market for AR has been on the increase and has been a big influence in the marketing field, resulting in the generalization of the term "AR marketing." By analyzing the marketing cases which use AR technology and organizing the frequency of use and characteristics, it is expected to contribute as a basic material for future studies on AR marketing. In this study, AR marketing cases are classified into different categories including display and contents. First, AR display category includes personal computers, mobile, public display, and projection display. AR contents category includes informative content, game contents, virtual experience, and visual effect. While investigating, it was found that the most used type of AR display was mobile, which has the advantage of not being limited by time and place and is also capable of one-on-one marketing with customers. The most used type of AR content was visual effect type, which evokes curiosity and is easily shared among people.

  • The advertisement using DID(Digital Information Display) has been a huge increase in many public spaces. Many company has been advertise their products through DID in recent. In this paper, we suggest more effective advertisement system on DID for advertisers. This system can provide a floating population, operation information and other useful I informations for advertisement. The advertisers can choose and buy the advertisement that they want.

  • 최근 공공장소에서 디지털액자와 같은 디스플레이 제품에 대한 상용화가 늘어나는 추세이다. 버스, 지하철 등 교통정보를 표시하는 디스플레이 장치에 광고가 사진이나 문자 형태로 보여 지게 된다. 하지만 이러한 시스템들은 해당 기기들의 관리자에 의해 PC로 제어하게 되는데 그 방법과 장소가 다소 제한적이기 때문에 불편 할 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 스마트 폰으로 TCP/IP 통신을 통해서 무선네트워크 방식으로 디지털액자를 쉽고 편리하게 제어 하고자 한다. 추가적으로 가정이나 회사 등의 환경에서도 적용하여 손쉽게 누구나 디지털액자에 모바일 애플리케이션을 이용하여 이미지를 등록, 편집 등 편리하게 관리 할 수 있도록 디지털액자와 모바일 애플리케이션을 설계 및 구현하였다.

  • We introduce VRSMS(VR-based sensor management system) which is the visualization system of micro-scale air quality monitoring system Airscope[3]. By adopting VR-based visualization method, casual users can get insight of air quality data intuitively. Users can also manipulate sensors in VR space to get specific data they needed. For adaptive visualization, we separated visualization and interaction methods from air quality data. By separation, we can get consistent way for data access so new visualization and interaction methods are easily attached. As one of the adaptive visualization method, we constructed large display system which consists of several small displays. This system can provide accessibility for air quality data to people one public space.

A Case Study on Using Interactive Media of Large Space Structure (대공간구조물의 Interactive Media 적용 사례 분석)

  • Interactive media are applied to inner and outer space of small public space to enhance for the interaction between the spectator and works, also widely used in the exterior wall by LED and projector for advertisement. In the other hand, case studies of interactive media for large space have not less accomplished than those of buildings and public spaces. Thus, these studies analyzed 11 large structure examples by display, content, interface, and technology device by comparison of those cases of ordinary building public space. First interactive media for large space are found to be contents(39%), and next one is play(27%), advertisement(17%) and message(17%).

A Study on the Enriched Contents of OPACs of Public Libraries in Korea (공공도서관 온라인 목록의 보강된 콘텐츠에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the present state of the enriched contents of OPACs of public libraries in Korea. Examined are the OPACs of 125 public libraries which hold Jeon Du-hwan Hoegorok, and 260 public libraries which hold Banil Jongjokjuui retrieved from KOLIS-NET of the National Library of Korea from Sept. through Oct. 2019. The enriched contents of these controversial books are mostly provided by Naver, Daum, and Aladin Internet Bookstore, and their so-called summaries, reviews, etc. are actually only excerpts supplied by publishers. They are given only as a link to external sources or the whole or partial display in a bibliographic record. Since these enriched contents contain only publishers' promotional statements, but not any objective and professional review, they are not much useful for library users. Therefore, more active participation of librarians in creating or evaluating the enriched contents are proposed, especially for such controversial books.

  • Ambient Information System is an expanded term from Ambient Displays that are aesthetically pleasing displays of information which sit on the periphery of a user's attention. It describes a large set of applications that publish information in a highly non-intrusive manner[4]. Recently, as importance of the media that affects human senses and individuals' experiences increases, the role of an Ambient Information System for Public is also increase. Therefore, in this paper, the emphasis is on finding a suitable form of the Ambient Information System based on some design dimensions and we sampled possible 13 design dimensions of the practical application of an Ambient Information System for Public. For verifying the validity of our findings, we installed "Follwingflow", an interactive LED illumination and carry out an experiment on the dimensions.

  • 도로 정보 시스템은 현재 경찰서 등의 국가 공공 기관 등에서 사용중이며 점차적으로 수도국이나 전기, 전화 등의 사회 공익 단체에서도 사용되어질 전망이다. 본 논문은 도로 정보 시스템의 기본 데이터와 시스템을 이용하여 도로관리에 필수적인 도로 단면도를 생성하기 위한 도로 단면도의 전체적인 디스플레이 구성과 관로나 맨홀 등 지하 매설물의 표현 방법, 각 매설물이 갖고 있는 수치 표현 방법, 각 매설물을 화면에 표현하기 위한 심볼화 작업을 통한 단면도 생성 방법을 제시한다. 또한 매설물의 속성 데이타 표현 방법을 포함하여 도로 단면도 생성에 의한 기대 효과를 고찰한다.

'ALL OF VISUAL' 제19회 한국국제사인디자인전

  • 국내 유일의 국제 사인전시회인 '제19회 한국국제사인디자인전(KOSIGN 2011)'이 지난 11 월 17일부터 20일까지 서울 삼성동 코엑스에서 열렸다. 올해로 19회째를 맞이한 코사인전은 디지털 텍스타일 프린터를 포함해, 국내외 사인산업 전반의 아이템을 총망라해 전시되었다. KOSIGN2011은 'ALL OF VISUAL'을 슬로건으로 내걸고 사인, 디스플레이, 공공 디자인 등 시각과 관련한 모든 요소를 담고 있다는 메시지를 전했다. 이번 전시회는 미디어 아트, 광고 및 홍보, 게임, 전시의 경계가 무너지는 옥외광고업계의 트랜드를 느낄 수 있도록 기획되었으며, 특별관으로 'Space Design Show'를 개최하는가 하면 부대행사로 대한민국옥외광고대상수상작 전시관, 세계 3대 광고제 수상작 전시관, 바이어 리셉션 등을 마련해 다양한 이벤트를 선보였다.

A Study of Display Sampling and Visual Momentum (디스플레이 표집과 시각타성에 관한 연구)

  • This study explored the Eye Movement, the horizontal and vertical flow of vision, and genetic, cultural and empirical schema, and the differentiation of the visual system of the cerebrum through the engineering psychological or the cognitive neuroscientific experiments measuring Eye Movement to maximize the efficiency of the Public Sign System in the urban environment. Accordingly, the study derived an algorithm that can bring out the most efficient visual design measurement by using EMR test and bitmap counting method. The scientific test data in this study will show the existence of the momentum of differentiation and visual sampling by the Schema and Sensory Qualia of the human.
