  • A code reuse attack is an attack technique that can execute arbitrary code without injecting code directly into the stack by combining executable code fragments existing in program memory and executing them continuously. ROP(Return-Oriented Programming) attack is typical type of code reuse attack and serveral defense techniques have been proposed to deal with this. However, since existing methods use Rule-based method to detect attacks based on specific rules, there is a limitation that ROP attacks that do not correspond to previously defined rules can not be detected. In this paper, we introduce a method to detect ROP attack by learning command pattern used in ROP attack code using RNN(Recurrent Neural Network). We also show that the proposed method effectively detects ROP attacks by measuring False Positive Ratio, False Negative Ratio, and Accuracy for normal code and ROP attack code discrimination.

  • DDoS (Distributed Denial Service, Distributed Service) attacks are being generated for a constant threat on the Internet, countermeasures for this have been proposed. However, the problem has become an increasingly effective instruction in any Measures are a variety of attacks and sophisticated attacks. Attackers can change a steady attack tools to respond to these, the experts as a countermeasure to this constantly research for a fresh attack. This paper is to introduce countermeasures to DDoS recent representative examples of 7.7DDoS and look for 3.3DDoS existing types of DDoS attacks increased PPS attacks, high traffic sent, web service delay and router and firewall settings, applications and to describe the DDoS countermeasures research by certification, is so that you can plan effectively for the future DDoS attacks proposed method.

  • Although the cryptographic algorithms in IC chip such as smart card are secure against mathematical analysis attack, they are susceptible to side channel attacks in real implementation. In this paper, we analyze the security of smart card using a developed experimental tool which can perform power analysis attacks and fault insertion attacks. As a result, raw smart card implemented SEED and ARIA without any countermeasure is vulnerable against differential power analysis(DPA) attack. However, in fault attack about voltage and clock on RSA with CRT, the card is secure due to its physical countermeasures.

  • This paper introduces a new collision attack on first-order masked AES. This attack is a known plaintext attack, while the existing collision attacks are a chosen plaintext attack. In addition, our method is more efficient than the second-order power analysis and requires about 1/27.5 power measurements by comparison with the last collision attack. Some experiment results of this paper support this fact. In this paper, we also introduce a simple countermeasure, which can protect against our attack.

  • As attack to routing function on MANET(Mobile Ad-Hoc Network), hole attack make cause some critical effects. MANET is easily influenced with hole attack and can be critically effected on transmission performance, because it is configured with terminal device as temporary network and dose not have effective means for malicious attack. In this paper, effects of grayhole attack to network performance on MANTE is analyzed with computer simulation. Voice traffic is used in simulation, effects of grayhole attack is compaerd with blackhole attack. The method and result of this paper can be used for data to study grayhoke attack.

  • As the existing strategy of preventing DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service) attacks has limitations, this study is intended to suggest the more effective method of preventing DDoS attacks which reduces attack power and distributes attack targets. Currently, DDoS attacks have a wide range of targets such as individuals, businesses, labs, universities, major portal sites and financial institutions. In addition, types of attacks change from exhausting layer 3, network band to primarily targeting layer 7. In response to DDoS attacks, this study suggests how to distribute and decrease DDoS threats effectively and efficiently using Proxy Server Group and Dynamic DNS.

  • Recently, phishing attacks targeting those involved in defense, security and unification have been on the rise. In particular, hacking attack organization Kimsuky has been engaged in activities to collect important information from public organizations through phishing attacks since 2013. In this paper, profiling analysis of phishing mail attack organization was performed. Through this process, we estimated the purpose of the attack group and suggested countermeasures.

  • As Worm Virus & DDoS attack appeares, the targets and damage of infringement accidents are extending from specific system or services to paralysis of the network itself. These attacks are expending very frequently and strongly, and ISP who will be used as the path of these attacks will face serious damages. But compare to Worm Virus & DDoS attack that generally occures in many Systems at one time with it's fast propagation velocity, network dimensional opposition is slow and disable to deal with the whole appearance for it is operated manually by the network manager. Therefore, this treatise present devices how to detect Worm Virus & DDoS attack's outbreak and the attacker(attacker IP adderss) automatically.

  • Recently, Internet services via various devices including smartphone have become available. Because of the development of ICT, numerous hacking incidents have occurred and most of those attacks turned out to be APT attacks. APT attack means an attack method by which a hacker continues to collect information to achieve his goal, and analyzes the weakness of the target and infects it with malicious code, and being hidden, leaks the data in time. In this paper, we examine the information collection method the APT attackers use to invade the target system in a short time using big data, and we suggest and evaluate the countermeasure to protect against the attack method using big data.

  • Due to the advance of ICT, a variety of attacks have been developing and active. Recently, APT attacks using malicious codes have frequently occurred. Advanced Persistent Threat means that a hacker makes different security threats to attack a certain network of a company or an organization. Exploiting malicious codes or weaknesses, the hacker occupies an insider's PC of the company or the organization and accesses a server or a database through the PC to collect secrets or to destroy them. The paper suggested a countermeasure to cope with APT attacks through an APT attack process. It sought a countermeasure to delay the time to attack taken by the hacker and suggested the countermeasure able to detect and remove APT attacks.
