As digital images combined with various types of information became popular, the development of transmission format standard for effective application of imageries is demanded. The purpose of the format standard is to provide a universal format that facilitates the exchange of images and related information. In this paper, we found optimal requirements of imagery transmission format standard after reviewing current state of both military and commercial products and studying functions of various types of format standards including NITF (National Imagery Transmission Format). In addition, future research direction of the imagery transmission format standard that complies with current trend of high-resolution and mass storage imagery data is proposed.

국가GIS사업과 지방자치단체의 지리정보 구축사업을 통해 많은 양의 지리정보가 구축 및 관리되고 있으며, 지리정보시장의 수요 또한 다양화되고 있다. 지리정보가 공개되어 활용될 수 있도록 하기 위해서는 지리정보 구축 보유기관이 데이터를 적극적으로 공급하고, 이를 통해 부가가치를 창출할 수 있는 환경을 조성할 필요가 있다. 또한 지리정보를 이용할 수 있는 매개체역할을 수행하는 지리정보유통수단 및 방법은 온라인과 오프라인의 다양한 경우가 존재하므로 지리정보의 활성화를 위한 분석 및 정비가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 법률을 근거로 하여 다양한 지리정보유통경로를 지리정보유통망을 중심으로 정비하는 방안을 제시하고, 공공부문의 역할모델을 수립하였다. 공공부문은 중앙정부와 지방자치단체 중심의 공급기관으로 구분하여 각각의 역할을 정립하였으며, 중앙정부는 홍보 유통을 위한 기반기술개발 민간과의 파트너십을 구축하고 지방자치단체는 지리정보의 공급과 갱신을 담당한다. 이를 통해 '공급-부가가치창출-유지관리'를 중심으로 중앙정부와 지방자치단체간의 상호작용을 통해 유통시장을 활성화시키고, 나아가 민간과의 협력을 통해 역할모델의 효율성을 높일 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

As the networks proliferate all over the world and the application of the geographical information increase recently, the importance of effective access and exchange of GIS data is recognized. However, existing GIS data are generated by many different organizations without proper standard methodologies and data exchange facilities such as clearing houses are being operated on different DBMS with their own schemata. It makes difficult for users to access and utilize the GIS data even the data are open to public. In this research, we provide the users a search system that interfaces heterogeneous repository systems. In order to interact heterogeneous DBMS we utilize the metadata interchange standard (XMI) from OMG.

지금까지 구축 된 공간 데이터들을 각 서버끼리 공유하여 유사한 내용의 공간정보구축을 위만 중복투자를 막고 공간데이터의 활용도를 높이는 방안이 시급하다. 멀티서버 환경에서의 공간데이터의 공유는 데이터의 보안과 사용자 편의성을 고려하여 뷰로 제공되고 관리되어질 수 있다. 분산 된 대용량의 공간데이터에 대해 복잡한 공간연산 처리를 감안한다면 멀티서버 환경에서는 공간 뷰의 실체화가 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 멀티서버 환경에서의 공간데이터의 유통을 지원하고 공유 된 공간데이터에 대한 사용자 편의성과 네트웍 부하를 고려한 공간 뷰 실체화 기법을 제안한다. 확장 된 공간데이터 디렉토리 서비스(Extended Spatial Data Diretory Service)를 이용하여 각 서버가 공유하는 공간테이블에 대란 정보를 검색하고, 검색 된 징보를 바탕으로 로컬서버는 각 서버에에 직접 접속하여 필요한 영역의 데이터를 얻어 뷰를 생성한다. 이때 공유 공간데이터가 대용량 데이터임을 고려하여 로컬서버는 공간 뷰 성의에 대한 술어를 분리하여 뷰 질의 처리를 각각의 원격서버로 분산시켜 네트웍 부하와 서버의 질의처리 비용을 줄이고 공간 뷰 서버에 실제화 시킴으로써 뷰에 대한 질의처리시 각 서버로의 접근을 데비터의 접근을 줄여 사용자 응-답시간을 최소화한다.

Despite of a huge amount of GIS data were distributed in the private sectors, they were gradually decayed due to lack of the legal preparation or civilian data distribution channels. In order to solve these problems this study was mainly focused on the civilian GIS data distribution and demonstrated a proposed direction through the requested questionnaire and analysis of the civilian enterprises and public sectors for the favorable civilian GIS distribution flow. The implementation of the civilian GIS data distribution center(provisional name) was proposed fir the civilian GIS distribution flow because of the fact that civilian sectors were seriously requested to build and to operate the civilian GIS distribution organization through the result of the requested questionnaire. The requested questionnaire items were selected as the civilian enterprises distribution, data implementation and management, low and regulations, NGIS distribution network business, and civilian GIS distribution renter build to activate and to participate civilian GIS distribution. Therefore, three implementation models and three implementation operation were proposed to guide a roll of the civilian GIS data distribution center and the distribution boundaries.

This study intended to show the way of evolving 'National Geographic Information Clearinghouse' to 'National Integrated Geospatial Portal'. For this purpose we have analyzed Geospatial One-Stop Portal in the US and then suggested future model of National Geographic Information Clearinghouse. The Integrated Geospatial Portal model is based on the Reference Model for Open Distributed Processing(RM-ODP) which is an international model for information distribution and sharing. The Integrated Geospatial Portal architecture consists of the data layer, middle-ware, presentation layer. It will help users to determine their fitness for nation wide GIS application and provide tools for accessing, visualizing, or ordering various geospatial data.

With the rapid development of computer, information and communication technologies, the production and distribution of digital contents among various kinds of networks have become more common. In such environment, we need to store and to manage efficiently a large volume of geograpruc data because the amount of geographic data grows faster and faster. In this paper, as a key solution to manage efficiently such a huge amount of geograpruc data, we adopt the mechanism which compresses only the difference between original and updated data with high compression ratio. By transferring highly compressed updated part only instead of the entire of geographic data, we can reduce the network traffic during the download of contents and service.

중앙정부나 지자체를 중심으로 지리정보체계(GIS)구축사업이 광범위하게 추진되고 있는 지금, 지리정보구축에 소요되는 비용에 대한 부담으로 인해 각 기관들에 산재된 지리정보의 공동 활용이 매우 중요시 되고 있다. 이에 따라 지리정보 생산 및 관리의 효율성과 이용의 활성화를 도모하기 위하여 '지리정보목록의작성및관리에관한지침'이 2002년 제정되어 시행되고 있다 현재 국가지리정보유통망에서의 활용을 위해 유통용 메타데이터 표준이 제정되어 있지만, 지리정보관리기관의 효율적인 지리정보 관리를 위해서는 부족한 부분이 많은 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 동 지침에 의거하여 ISO 19115에 부합되는 새로운 통합 국가메타데이터 표준(안) 개발을 목적으로 메타데이터 표준화 연구를 수행하였다. 국가메타데이터 표준(안)은 유통용 메타데이터 표준을 모두 수용하고, 기존 메타데이터와의 비교분석을 바탕으로 효율적인 지리정보 관리를 위한 관리용 메타데이터 항목을 추가하여 총 13개 섹션으로 설계되었다. 본 연구에서 제시된 국가메타데이터 표준(안)을 통해서 우선 사용목적에 맞는 다양한 지리정보를 검색하고 활용하기 위한 표준화된 기반이 구축되어 공공부문 및 민간부문의 GIS 활성화를 위한 커다란 초석이 마련될 것으로 판단된다.

GIS is a integrated information system that is designed for collect, store, renovate, space analysis, representation effectiveley of information which was formed by space information of features such as mountain, pavement, building , river, communiction, power, gas line, natural resource. the core technology of CIS are the open GIS component technology, spae information circulation, advanced GIS application technology and space data forming technology.
