산림청에서는 백두대간을 체계적으로 보전하고 골프장 설치등으로 산림이 무분별하게 훼손되는 일이 없도록 하기 위하여 '산림피해 확대방지 종합대책'을 수립$\cdot$시행한다고 밝혔다. 산림청은 그동안 많은 논란이 있었던 백두대간의 실체규명과 보전을 위하여 백두대간의 개념 및 보전에 필요한 사항 등을 2000년중으로 정립, 제도화하는 방안을 강구키로 하였다. 또한 건설교통부가 국토이용계획을 변경하고자 산림청과 협의할 때 적용하는 산림청의 '국토이용계획변경 협의기준'을 강화하는 내용으로 금년 하반기에 개정하기로 하였다. 스키장$\cdot$골프장 등 설치로 백두대간이 훼손되지 않도록 백두대간 마루금 침범을 금지하는 내용으로 개정하고 집단묘지개발시 피해유발 우려가 있는 경사 30$\%$이상지역, 마사토지역과 경관지역은 묘지개발을 금지하게 할 계획이다. 또한 무분별한 산림형질변경을 제도적으로 방지하기 위하여 현행 시장$\cdot$군수로 되어 있는 산림형질변경허가권자를 시$\cdot$도지사로 상향하는 내용으로 금년중 산림법 시행령을 개정하기로 하였다고 밝혔다. 특히 각종 개발사업 추진과정에서 장마철 집중호우로 인한 수해가 발생하지 않도록 하기 위하여 1년 이상 공사중단된 골프장은 6월중에 일제조사를 실시하여 장마철 집중호우시 수해위험에 있는 골프장에 대하여는 시$\cdot$도지사에게 요청하여 사업승인을 취소하거나 사업중지토록 할 계획이다. 산림경영 기반시설인 임도에 대하여는 피해방지 및 경관유지를 최우선하는 '환경친화적 녹색임도' 정책으로 전환하기 위하여 기존의 부실 임도에 대하여는 7월부터 대대적인 구조개량 사업에 착수하고, 내년부터는 임도계획 단계부터 노선등의 적정여부를 사전평가하는 제도를 도입하겠다고 밝혔다. 최근 산림훼손으로 문제되고 있는 송전탑진입로는 산림 형질변경허가를 엄격하게 운용하기 위하여 앞으로는 한국전력으로 하여금 진입로 설치 대신 삭도$\cdot$모노레일$\cdot$헬기운반을 대폭 확대하도록 조치하였으며 또한 이미 공사완료한 곳 중 피해방지$\cdot$경관유지가 필요한 경우에는 한국전력으로 하여금 설계를 변경하여 추가공사를 하도록 협의완료하였다고 산림청은 밝혔다.

This study provides basic information on morphological characteristics of zoysia mite, Aceria zoysiae and symptom in zoysiagrass for turfgrass management in golf courses. Zoysiagrass mite distributed from Pocheon, Gyeonggii province to Jinju, Gyeongnam province and damaged turfgrasses from spring to fall. Damaged leaf by zoysiagrass mite was rolled unidirectionally and mite damaged leaves in the inside of rolled part. Leaves was turned to yellow and damaged area formed irregular yellow patch.

Earthworm cast occurred in surface of turfgrass in golf courses which affect turfgrass maintenance and golf play. In this study several survey of seasonal fluctuation of earthworm cast in different golf courses (Anseong, Gapyeong, Gunpo and Yongin in Gyeonggi province, and Geumjeong in Busan) was done. A number of earthworm, soil temperature and moisture of detection site of earthworm cast in each golf course were also done. Cast occurred in different golf courses are found mostly from April to November on turf surface and the cast number varied in different month as well as in golf courses. In the same golf courses, a number of detected cast was difference from individual sites. A number of cast and earthworm was correlated. Also, in higher soil moisture showed the higher cast density in different golf courses. Soil temperature and moisture of detecting cast ranging from $2.1^{\circ}C$ to $33.1^{\circ}C$ and 4.9 to 44.1%, respectively. In case of cast, soil temperature level lies in between $10-15^{\circ}C$ where the highest soil moisture was 25%.

Recently there are difficulties in management of golf courses because of an ever increasing demand for golf as a leisure sports. Hence natural minerals as an amendment could be applied to improve and manage the physicochemical properties of the golf course soils in an environment-friendly way. In this study, quartz porphyry, which has been shown to be a good soil amendment for crop production, was tested for its effect on physicochemical properties of the golf course soil, growth of creeping bentgrass (Agrostis stolonifera) and changes of soil microbial communities in the soil. In general, amendment of 20% quartz porphyry into the soil turned out to be most effective in enhancing a proper growth of the grass leaves and roots. DGGE profile data showed that eubacterial species richness was also the highest at this level of the mineral treatment in which Actinobacteria and ${\alpha}$-Proteobacteria were the dominant phyla. This appeared to be attributed to a low level of soluble organic matter content and decreased concentration of cations such as $Ca^{2+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, and $K^+$.

Soil Classification of 70 golf courses in Korea was identified according to the detailed soil map from Rural Development Administration. Golf courses (GL) soils were included 6 great soil groups(by the old system) and 8 great groups (by the new system) and 17 soil series. Most abundant great soil groups by old system were Red yellow soils(50% of GL) and Lithosols (44%) and by new systems, Dystrochrepts(74%), Eutrochrepts(8.6%) and Hapludults(7.1%) were main great soil groups. Major soil series were indentified as Osan(27.1% G.F), Samgag(18.6%), Yesan(11.4%), Songsan(8.6%) and Daegu(7.1%). Characteristics of great soil groups and soil series were summaried or tabled for golf course management.

Earthworm cast is a harmful factor which reduces the uniformity of management of turfgrass and play quality in golf courses and playground. This research was conducted to carry out the efficacy of some pesticide (bifenthrin GR + clothianidin GR, ethoprophos GR, imidacloprid SC, picoxystrobin WG, thiophanate-methyl WP) and tee tree (Camellia oliefera) extracts against reducing earthworm cast in golf courses. All tested materials were acted reducing earthworm cast, thiophanate-methyl among them showed the highest effect reducing earthworm casts in golf courses. Tea tree extracts was occurred similar efficacy among tested chemical pesticides. However, pellet type byproduct of tea seed extract and liquid formulation of tea tree extract were better than granule formulation of them. Byproduct of tea seed and tea tree extract can be used for alternative biological management material for reducing earthworm cast in heavily casting occurrence area.

Usage and residue of pesticide were sureyed for five years from three golf courses which have morethan eighteenholes inKangwon-do from 1992 to 1996. A total of 186 samples(soils, lawns, effluents) were collected from these courses and residual levels of four kinds of organochlorines and twelve kinds of organophosphorus pesticides in each samples were determined by GC-ECD and GC-NPD. The amount of pesticide used in each golf course was 1, 635.6kg a year on the average, and that of pesticide to the green and the fairway were 33g/$\textrm{m}^2$ and 3g/$\textrm{m}^2$, respectively. The pesticide which was not permitted for the management of golf course was detected in 24 of 186 samples and its detection rate was 12.9%. The average pesticide residue in soils was 0.208 ppm for captan, 0.031 ppm for daconil, respectively. Detection rate of the prohibited pesticides has decreased every year since 1992, and there were no residues all the tested samples in 1996.Based on these results, it might be judged investigation methods of pesticide residue should be changed with current using pesticide from the prohibited pesticides and the criteria of residual pesticides in effluents of golf course also should be established.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the marketing strategy at golf courses in Jeonnam area on perceived values and customers' behaviors. To make this goal, the study was selected it as the population to customers who were the member of 10 golf courses run by membership and public system. The study, then, selects 366 by convenience sampling. The study was analyzed the data by frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and simple and multiple regression analysis. The results are as follows. First, it has a meaningful influence on perceived value to the factors of product, price and place which are the component of marketing strategy in golf courses. Second, it has a meaningful influence on revisiting intention, one of the customers' behaviors, to the factors of product, price and promotion which are the component of marketing strategy in golf courses; but the factor of place has no influence on it. Third, the factors of product and price, the component of marketing strategy have a meaningful influence on the intention of recommending others which is one of customers' behaviors while the factors of promotion and place don't have. Finally, the factor of perceived value has a meaningful influence on both of the intention of revisit and recommendation to others which are customers' behaviors.
