The supply of natural aggregate for concrete has been difficult, and the amount of construction waste has been continuously increasing. Therefore, the necessity of using recycled aggregate made of construction waste as aggregate is rised. Therefore, many studies on the characteristics of concrete using recycled aggregate have been made and positive studies have been reported mainly in recent studies. A study on the chlorides binding effect of the mortar with recycled coarse aggregate has been reported. However, due to the user's perception of waste, most of the recycled aggregate currently produced is used only for low value-added products. In order to improve the recognition of recycled aggregate and the user's perception of recycled aggregate concrete, long-term monitoring of the structure with 100% recycled aggregate was conducted to confirm the applicability of the recycled aggregate concrete.

경량골재 콘크리트의 내구성과 경제성에 대한 인식 부족으로 조경재료나 인공토양 둥 구조부재 이외의 분야에 사용되고 있는 국내 실정에 비해서, 구미 여러나라에서는 고강도 경량골재를 장지간 교량과 고충건물에 사용하고 있다. 경량골재 콘크리트는 구조물의 재료비 단순비교에 있어서도 경제성이 있을 뿐만 아니라, 자중감소로 인한 구조적, 기하학적 장점도 있으며, 또한 고강도 경량골재의 개발로 경량골재가 가지고 있는 여러 문제점을 해소하여 사용성과 내구성에 있어서 보통골재 콘크리트와 큰 차이가 없는 상황이다. 그러나국내에서 생산된 경량골재는 닫힌 공극보다 열린 공극을 많이 내포하고 있어 수분흡수가 많고, 특히, 동결융해에 대한 내구성에 취약한 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 내동해성 향상을 위해 10종류의 고강도 경량골재 콘크리트 공시체를 제작하여 실리카 흄, 물.시멘트비, AE제, 강섬유 등을 실험 변수로 하여동결융해 실험을 수행하였다. 연구결과 실리카흄, 물.시멘트 비는 어느 정도 내동해성을 향상시키지만 근본적인 해결방안이 되지 못하며, AE제를 첨가한 공시체와 강섬유를 사용한 공시체는 동결융해 내구성 지수가 90%이상으로 측정되어 내동해성을 개선시킬 수 있는 요소로 나타났다.

Recycled aggregate is a valuable resource in Korea in lack of natural aggregate. Government recognizes the importance and suggests various policies enhancing its use for higher value-added application. Most of recycled aggregate produced currently in Korea, however, is applied for low value-added uses such as embankment, reclamation, etc. Its higher valued application such as for structural concrete is very limited. Although domestic manufacturing technology of recycled aggregate is at the world level, recycled aggregate is not applied for structural concrete. Primary reasons for the limited use of the recycled aggregate include bonded mortar and cracks occurred during crushing and hence it is very difficult to predict and control the quality of recycled aggregate concrete. This research intended to grasp combined characteristics of recycled aggregate, high early strength cement, maximum temperature and time duration of steam curing and then, analyze the effects of factors. Also, it suggested the method to improve field applicability of recycled aggregate concrete.

Crushers are equipment that crush natural stones, to produce aggregates used at construction sites. As the crusher proceeds, the inner liner becomes worn, causing the size of the aggregate produced to gradually increase. The vision sensor-based aggregate analysis system analyzes the size and distribution of aggregates in production, in real time through image analysis. This study developed an algorithm that can segmentate aggregates in images in real time. using image preprocessing technology combining various filters and morphology techniques, and aggregate region characteristics such as convex hull and concave hull. We applied the developed algorithm to fine aggregate, intermediate aggregate, and thick aggregate images to verify their performance.

Porous concrete enables water and air to pass through a firmly hardened material and allows required nutrients to reach roots of plants. The purpose of this study is to analyze void ratio, strength property and planting ability when using silica fume and fly ash, the change of aggregate gradation and ratio of paste to aggregate. The results of an experiment from the planting ability of the porous concrete to its influence on the compressive strength are reported in this paper. As a result of the experiment, the compressive strength is higher when the gradation of aggregate is smaller, and it also goes higher when the ratio of paste to aggregate gets larger. The planting ability of porous concrete is decided by the germination and the grass length of perennial ryegrass. The grass length of perennial ryegrass is longer when the gradation of aggregate is greater and the ratio of paste to aggregate gets smaller. Therefore the efficiency of planting goes through the perennial ryegrass is in compliance with the void ratio, aggregate gradation.

Modern structures is the tendency of being increasingly taller and larger. The concrete with large weight has the disadvantage of increasing the weight on the structure. therefore, the method of carrying out the weight saving of the concrete is required. one of such method is to use a lightweight aggregate. However, studies on structural lightweight concrete, lacking for the recognition of the lightweight concrete, so also is lacking. therefore it is necessary to study on the physical characteristic value of the lightweight concrete. In this study, in order to investigate the tensile properties of lightweight concrete, Crack mouth opening displacement (CMOD) experiments were carried out. the fracture energy of the lightweight concrete subjected to inverse analysis were derived from the CMOD experimental results.

The rate of recycling of waste concrete, which represents the majority of construction-related waste, is increasing. However, a general recognition of the inferior qualify of recycled aggregates and their lower grade of compressive strength, bending strength, shear strength, frost resistance and ductility make the application of recycled aggregates to structures insufficient. Therefore, this study conducted material and member experiments by adding steel fiber for the purpose of improving the properties of recycled aggregate concrete. To synthesize the experimental results, it was found that specimens with a 30% steel fiber admixture had levels of compressive strength, tensile strength and frost resistance that were equivalent to or higher than the standard specimen, and that concrete that had a 30% replacement of recycled aggregates with steel fiber was suitable for application to actual structures.

In the construction industry, lack of reliability in the quality of recycled aggregates, harmful substance problems, and negative consumer perceptions limit the expansion of the use of recycled aggregates. In this respect, existing studies mainly focus on the use of recycled coarse aggregates in concrete in consideration of durability. On the other hand, in the case of recycled fine aggregates, not only are there insufficient cases applied to major structures, but the scope of application is very limited due to lack of awareness. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to present the possibility of their application in bearing and non-bearing wall structures through physical characteristics experiments of concrete bricks for masonry according to various mixing ratios of recycled fine aggregates and cement amounts. To this end, the compressive strength and absorption rate of concrete bricks were measured focusing on the mixing ratio of the recycled fine aggregate and the crushed fine aggregate and the amount of cement. As a result, it is found that it is possible to use 100% of recycled fine aggregate for 200kg/m³ of cement or 25% of crushed fine aggregate mixed with 75% of recycled fine aggregate for the same amount of cement to achieve the compressive strength of 13MPa, witch is one of the quality requirements for concrete bricks for bearing walls. In addition, it is found that to meet the strength of 8MPa, one of the quality requirements for non-bearing walls, it is sufficient to use 100% of the recycled fine aggregate for 100kg/m³ of cement. Through the absorption rate tests, it is also confirmed that the absorption rate of the concrete brick is 13% or less by meeting the required performance criteria. This means that even if recycled fine aggregate is used in the manufacture of concrete bricks, the quality standards required by KS F 4004 (concrete bricks) can be sufficiently met.

The purpose of this study is to examine the validity of recycled aggregates (RAs) as a substitute for Sand-Mat material for soft ground improvement in the housing site development. To evaluate the possibility of RAs as a substitute for sand mat material, first of all, the criteria and regulations related with the quality of lateral drain layer were collected and checked. Secondly, both of the properties of RAs were compared with the properties of natural sand for the lateral drain layer. The material properties related to coefficient of permeability, pressure at-rest state and so on satisfied most standards. On the basis of the test results, RAs were used to the construction site as lateral drain layer. Accordingly, if the quality of RAs can be managed well, the application of these RAs as lateral drain layer to replace natural sand was highly effective. Also, based on cost analysis of two materials, RAs are proved to be very competitive.

물리검층은 주로 석유탐사 분야에서 개발·이용되어왔으나 소구경 시추공을 이용하는 지반조사. 자원평가, 지하수조사 또는 환경오염조사 등에서 물리검층의 수요가 증가하고 있다. 국내에서 수행된 물리검층은 우라늄 탐사 목적으로 1980년 전후로 많이 수행되었으며 1990년 중반에는 지하수 조사에 일부 활용되어 왔다. 현재 물리검층의 활용도가 증가하고 있는 분야는 지반조사 분야로 원위치 물성측정, 시추공과 교차하는 암반의 균열파악 등 터널, 교량과 같은 각종 토목분야의 지반조사에 많이 활용되고 있다. 이외에도 지하수 유동특성 규명이나 환경오염조사, 자원평가(지열, 온천, 석·골재, 금속광상 등)에도 활용되고 있다.
